Bridesmaid Dress

Hi girls! My Mom got me the cutest dress for my birthday, and I was thinking it would make a really adorable bridesmaid dress for my wedding. I wanted pink and short bridesmaids dresses anyways, I just am not sure if its formal enough. I will attach a couple of pics. By the way my bridesmaids will be 15, 22, 23, 24, 26, and 30 so its kind of a big age range but I think I could add straps to the 15 year olds dress? Should I consider her a Junior Bridesmaid since she is so much younger than everyone else? They are all my cousins but she is the baby.

Really, it's up to you. This is after all YOUR wedding. If you love that dress and it goes with your theme then there really shouldn't be any question. Just do make sure that you take into consideration what this dress will look like on your bridesmaids and if they will be at least semi-comfortable. Everyone's body type looks differently in the dress. So make sure you think that through. My thing was comfort for my bridesmaids. I wanted them in something they could at least move around in. IMO I probably would go for one of the other choices, but it's because of my body type and I know I couldn't pull off that dress if my life depended on it...but its clear that you are in love with this one and I see no reason not to go with it, as it is adorable. I had the same dilemma, I really wanted short fun BM dresses at first... but it just really didn't fit with everything else and I thought it might not look the best with my dress :confused3. I was really sad to give up on the short dresses but I'm so happy with the new BM dresses and so are all the girls. It also fits in more with our decor and the formality of our wedding. But of course my DF wants a really fancy evening wedding, so short dresses really wouldn't have worked... :rolleyes:

Does this dress fit with your ideas of decor and the type of wedding you want? What time of day will the wedding be? Usually an evening wedding is a little more formal, but you can do whatever you want. ;)

On the BM front, your younger cousin doesn't have to be a Jr. BM but she can be. You can also put her in the same dress and add straps. I know DF's Sister had a 14 yr old Jr. BM and her dress was the same as the BM but had straps. I think the straps were really more for her comfort. So you don't need to worry about finding a different dress for her.

I think it's adorable! I am also biased because I love hot pink - it's one of my favorite colors :)

I also think this dress would fit quite a few body types - you could easily have straps or even a halter strap added if peopel were concerned with it being strapless....

Thanks girls for your help! I really love this dress too! We are planning on an evening wedding, thats why I am concerned about it being formal enough. We also will be getting married in February, do you think it will be warm enough for short dresses? I would think most of the other guests would wear short instead of long dresses anyways, so it should probably be fine. Thanks again!
