I have booked a room only reservation an I have made some dinning reservations, that are tied to my room reservation. If I call up and add the DDP will that wipe out my dinning reservations?

Thanks

I don't think you can add dining to a room only reservation unless you're a passholder, or make it a package including tickets. Someone else may know for sure though.

you'll be fine!

teh room reservation allows them to control the 180+10 reservations for those staying on-site. It does NOT cancel reservations automatically if the reservation in canceled or changed.

love the ddp

You can't add the DDP to a room-only reservation during free dining. Paying OOP, it will be fine.

To add the DDP you must also add park tickets to your reservation and make it a package. The exception being if you are an AP holder. Changing your ressie will not affect your ADR's, they are not attached in any way to your resort ressie. They take your confirmation number to allow you to book 180+10 thats all.

You can't add DDP to a room-only reservation at any time (free dining or paid dining, doesn't matter). You will have to convert it to a package. If you are not an annual passholder you will also have to buy at least a one-day park ticket as part of the package. Even AP holders can't technically add DDP to a room only reservation. They have to convert the reservation to a ticketless package - which means the reservation is subject to the deposit, change and cancellation rules applicable to packages, not room-only reservations.

If you are a DVC member booking through DVC Member Services, that is an entirely different type of reservation and you may add DDP through DVC Member Services anytime up to 2 days before arrival.

If you alter your room reservation, it will not affect your restaurant reservations.

Sorry I should have said I am a annual passholder.
So I think my dinning reservations will be ok, if I add
DDP to my room only Res.

Thank you

You still can't add DDP to a room only reservation as an AP holder, it will be converted to a ticketless package. That will not affect your restaurant reservations. What it will affect is your deadline for payment (packages must be paid in full no later than 45 days before arrival) and cancellation and change policies. On package reservations there is a fee if you cancel or downgrade your reservation within 45 days of arrival. The Disney booking agent should explain this to you when you rebook.

Also, if you are more than 45 days before arrival and your first night deposit was under $200, you will need to pay whatever it takes to make a $200 deposit, as that is the deposit required for all packages.

I will try to call on Friday, and see what they say, I am ok with paying in full when I add the dining plan, since I am less than 45 days out. They already have a 200.00 plus deposit.

I will see what they say Friday.

Thanks

But as TDC Nala keeps trying to tell you, you are not "adding the dining plan". Your room only reservation will be cancelled and your deposit refunded. Since you are within 45 days, you will then pay the entire amount in full. They cannot transfer the funds from your old deposit because it is an entirely new reservation. You will have a different reservation number as well. HTH.

If the resort you have booked is more important to you than the dining plan, then you should also check for availablity at that resort on a ticketless package before you change the reservation. If you can't rebook your reservation as a package at this time because there isn't any availability, you might have to change resorts.

So sorry I misspoke on this one. I am an AP holder and am staying in DVC in an exchange so I was able to add dining. Sorry about that.:goodvibes

If they have a $200 deposit, it makes me wonder if they do have a package already. :confused3 Unless their one night stay deposit just happens to be $200 also. :confused3

They said a $200 plus deposit so it might just be a room that costs more than $200 per night on a one-night deposit.

From what I have read, the member will have to add it for you. I think at least 2 days prior. And you pay for the DDP at check in.

Yes, DVC members can add the DDP to an existing reservation at least 48 hours in advance. The member you getting the room from will have to add it to the reservation for you. Everyone on the reseration will have to get it as well.
As others have said, you will pay the DDP at check in (although this will be changing sometime in the fall).
