I have been having a leaf through the DLP brochure and the information on character breakfasts seem to read that they are now only available at Cafe Mickey.

Many moons ago I had a character breakfast at Hotel New York. Do they no longer do this anymore?

We're now booked for one for DS' birthday at Cafe Mickey. Is it a buffet and is it cold or is there hot food? I'm sure that the food will hardly be noticed to be honest!

Cafe Mickey serves cooked breakfasts from what I gathered last year

Incidentally as was said I believe all hotels have characters turn up in the hotel lobbies. I wouldn't worry too much as you'll see plenty of them about in the parks!

Last year I constantly ran into characters, they get to wander a lot around the hotel lobbies, the parks ect. If you want a good Character Meal just go for Cafe Mickey and make sure you take a long time eating :lmao:

The breakfast is a buffet with hot and cold food - sausages bacon, scrambled eggs (so yummy), potatoes, tomatoes, smoked salmon, the usual breads, croissants etc, jams, cakes, cereals, toast, yoghurts, hot and cold drinks (you get these from a dispenser) and probably much more that Ive forgotten about

Hi thanks for all the replies. We weren't going to do a character breakfast but we managed to get our room booking changed from Santa Fe to across the Rio Grande at the Cheyenne, we also got a refund of £38.80 but were told to book a character breakfast (paying the £56-£28.80=£17.20 difference) or similar or we'd then have to pay extra £13 or so for changing the booking so it was a bit of a win win for us. We look at it as an upgrade plus character meal for £17.20.

The breakfast sounds yummy - I like my food - that's why I cycle 10 miles a day to work up and down a couple of killer hills - lets me eat more! I've been reading the reviews for the Chuck Wagon and that sounds really nice too. There's loads that our kids will eat - they're not big fans of nuggets and burgers though DD tried them yesterday when her friend had them and now likes them.

I think the character breakfast sounds perfect, a good choice of food and not having to queue for the characters like this photo form last time. They are in their pjs, as my wife decided they were too messy eaters and we'd left the bibs at the timeshare we were staying at which was too far to drive there and back so we stayed overnight.
