We are going the following week (21st-27th) on the deluxe plan. I might be inspired to do a pre-trip report too! It will give me somethng to do besides ruminate endlessly over the menus of the places we have chosen, imagining the food I will be eating, lol.

Yes, and my oldest dd and I have a discussion of our food plan at least every other day.
"The first day, we get there in time for dinner at I am going to get... The first park day is at Hollywood Studios and breakfast will be at..."
My dh and youngest dd are bored senseless by these discussions :)

We'll be there almost the exact times you'll be there. 4/11-4/20.

We're trying a few of the same places you guys are; as a matter of fact we'll be there at Teppin Endo the same day for dinner. Our reservation time is 6:00pm, who knows maybe we'll run into each other.

Yay I've got some readers! So I'm debating, I really want to go to Narcoossees the night we get the WDW but our flight lands at 7 and our reservation at Narcoossees is at 9:30, do you think we will have enough time? We're staying at BLT so it will just be a monorail ride away.

So...let me tell you a little about DH and I in case you haven't read my last dining review.

DH (Ryan) will eat pretty much anything except for seafood. He eats all day everyday yet somehow manages to stay stick thin.

DH doing what he does best...

Me (Cassie) I've become pickier about food quality. For awhile I tried the whole vegetarian thing and I realized that I just love chicken too much. I don't eat much red meat, or mushrooms but I love any other kind of food.

Ok here's the updated...final(if I keep saying it maybe it will be true), ADR list.

Sat Apr 10th
Captain Cooks-dinner can't wait to try the food here, looks so yummy.

Sun Apr 11th
Contempo Cafe-breakfast anyone have any recommendations what to eat here?
CHH-lunch, we're going on the KTTK tour so lunch here is paid for. Can't wait to try the Lighthouse Sandwich
Kona-dinner do they serve Lapu Lapu's here? If they do I am SOOO getting one!

Mon Apr 12th
Kona-back again for breakfast and some Tonga Toast
Chefs de France-lunch
Teppan Edo-dinner DH can not wait for this one!

Tues Apr 13th
Boma-breakfast
Yak & Yeti-lunch I'm still debating on which alcoholic beverage to try here. There's so many that sound delicious.
Boma-dinner our first time trying dinner here.

Wed Apr 14th
Tangierine Cafe/La Cava de Tequila-lunch eating at one, drinking at the other. :)
California Grill-dinner hoping the meal here is better than it was last time

Thurs Apr 15th
50's Primetime-lunch PB&J milkshake!!
Brown Derby-dinner any suggestions on which entree here is good?

Fri Apr 16th
Crystal Palace-breakfast this one I was debating on, I'm not too crazy about character meals, but the food here is good
LTT-lunch
Jiko-dinner can't wait to eat here, this meal I'm looking forward to most

Sat Apr 17th
Biergarten-lunch
Narcoossee's-dinner our favorite restaurant, can't wait for that lobster!

Sun Apr 18th

Ok that's it, I'm not changing our ADR's anymore. :lmao:
Instead, I'm trying to decide what restaurants DH and I will be eating at on our next trip in Nov/Dec. Our ADR date isn't until May but it's never too early to start.

So I guess this PFR is at a stand still. I'm not exactly sure what else to put into a pre food report. But only 16 more days(not including today).

Now that the Wishes Dessert Party is coming back, I'm debating on whether or not to book it and if I will even have any room left for all those desserts! I guess I have until the 28th to decide. Any opinions on the party? I've heard the viewing is good but everyone rushes to the rail to watch and that seems kind of inconvenient.

Also, I tried to post this on the main dining forum...does anyone have suggestions as to where to get the best Ahi Tuna? I've never tried ahi tuna anywhere before so any help would be appreciated! :thumbsup2

I thought about the dessert party- but ultimately I think it will be waaaay to much dessert for us after 2 snacks and 2 desserts already/day.

And, it's hard for us to fit in- I wanted to go Tues the 13th, but Wishes is at 9,
I'd need to make my lunch and dinner ADR's earlier, and it messes up my whole touring plan:headache:

BUT, you could easily do it after Kona on the 11th and stay for EMH :) Kona is an easy one to make a little earlier if you need to, and it's early enough in your trip that you wouldn't be sick of dessert yet. I say if it's still less than $20/pp, go for it!

Ok so I fit the dessert party into our schedule. Exactly where you said too. We will be missing Spectromagic but it's worth it to us, in case they decide to discontinue it again. So we will be at the dessert party April 11th! Yay! Is anyone else going this night?

I'm jealous you are only two weeks away. April is going to go by slow for me, I know it :lmao:

I got our yellow tags for ME today, that made me super happy

I will definitely post a food review when I get back. I also write a blog that details travel stories, reviews, etc.

Thanks for the lunch recommendations!

Awesome I'll be joining into yours, I love food pics! :lovestruc

Danyel, you found me! :) I've heard such good things about Jiko I can't wait to try it. What did you get there?

The next two weeks will drag by for me, and then when I get back I will be soo jealous that your trip is so close. :rotfl:

They made us a vegan flatbread for an app
I had the shrimp curry and Dan had the salmon dish
all of it was super yummy. If I wasn't embarassed to do so, I would have licked the plate clean :)

SO tired this morning. I was up until after 1am reading dis! I got addicted to peoples food reports.

I just found your report and you're making me hungry already with those pics. We're going in May and doing the DxDP for the first time. It's a short trip and we only have tickets for one day so we're focusing on food this trip. We're planning on eating at Jiko, Boma, House of Blues(OOP), Narcoossee's and Teppan Edo.

Looking forward to your reviews.

You have some good choices! Three of my favorites actually, Boma, Narcoossee's and Teppan Edo. Are you doing Boma for breakfast or dinner? Have fun on your trip!

I feel so bad, I must have missed your post! :guilty: Welcome to my pre food report!

Your ADR's sound soooo good! You will love DxDp. Alot of the restaurants you're doing DH and I are thinking about doing on our next trip (Nov). Have you ever done Hoop de doo Review before? It looks so fun, this is a must try for us next time.

We're doing Boma for breakfast. We also had dinner scheduled there before we decided to go deluxe, so we sacrificed dinner there for Narcoossee's. Even with DXDP there's not enough table services if you only stay 2 nights.

Oh, don't feel bad! I figured you had missed my post. I just wanted to introduce myself, because we had so many similar ADR's and you and your DH seem like a lot of fun!

No, we have not done HDDR before, but we are looking forward to it, as it has been a must-do for my Aunt and her family for many years now. My DD has a cowgirl outfit (cowgirl hat, pink cowgirl boots and a denim skirt with pink bandanna trim) that my parents bought her from TX. We plan to dress her up in that, and I hope she gets to take part in the show! I'll let you know how it goes!

I am really hoping that your Cali Grill dinner is better this time around. I am sacrificing one of the many World Showcase meals that I have been wanting to do in order to go there. I hope it is worth it!

Hi Tink! just stumbled on this PTR and looks like you've also posted in the Married No Kids Right NOW Thread...and you're from MA!!! :cool1:

:goodvibes Hope you have a wonderful trip!! We're doing the DxDP for the first time during our October trip, and also staying at the villas for the first time (BCV and AKV). Plus lots of other firsts like a couple tours and such.

Anyway just wanted to say hi!! :wave2:

edited to add: funny enough, I was also a vegetarian from about age 12-16, then added back in chicken bc i missed it so much!! Only eat chicken breast though. I'm trying to stem out and eat new things though...love spicy stuff and things w/ lots of flavor though.

I also just changed one of our ADRs so that we could have dinner at Narcoossee's and view the fireworks! I'm excited about the menu there - they seem to have more for me. Of course DH will eat anywhere :)

Hello! Sounds like you have a fun trip planned. What part of MA are you from? We are in the Worcester area.

Yeah being a vegetarian and going to restaurants was difficult. I've been eating chicken and fish again. Many more options, especially at Disney restaurants! popcorn::

You will love Narcoossee's! We had the best waiter last trip too. He even gave us green mickey mouse straws at the end of our meal. Never had a bad experience here. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

My husband and I are both pescatarians. You're right - Luckily there's a million restaurants at Disney so you could always find something for everyone! The restaurants we chose have a lot of variety for us.

I can highly recommend the Crab Gateau and the Shrimp appetizers and both DH & I think the Veal Shank entree is one of, if not the best entree we've had on property!:thumbsup2
