Farmergirl...you beat me to it!!!!! I was just going to post this. I second your thoughts that everyone that took the seat in hosting did a fabulous job and was glad to listen. But, I too am glad that Pete is back. So with that said....:welcome: Back Pete!!!!!

Sorry I was just too excited to hold it in. I saw the comment on Corey's Facebook last night saying it was great to have Pete back so I was wondering if this was what he meant! I am so excited! Can't wait to tell DH when he gets home! :banana:

I'm new to the boards but I've been listening to the DIS podcast for the past 3 years. Having Pete back inspired me to create a disboard account just to welcome him back. Pete is irreplaceable.

I am glad Pete is back. My comment in the survey comment box was "Bring Pete Back as host"! They sure do listen to their fans!

It was fun to have everyone host but there is a comfort in having Pete at the helm!

Now a seroius rant will make things right in the world again! Only the "cleaning lady" was glad he was gone!:rotfl:

I enjoyed the other hosts, too. I'd love to see them doing their own segment each week or every other week.

Pete just said he is the host again. I'm off to continue listening! :)

Definitely nice to have Pete back, but I thought all the other hosts did a great job.

I would have been fine if Kevin had become the perma-host also.

It is a horribly gray day here in Connecticut and with the snow on the ground and the thought that winter is almost over and spring on the horizon is a nice thought. However, Pete coming back is great news. I have to say, listening to everyone else do the show was really nice. I listened to every show and they were GREAT!!

But Pete was made for this and the group being intact is awesome news.

Once again, what a great product and forum for Disney lovers.

I don't want to disparage or discount the abilities of the other podcasters to host the show, but I have to admit that I am really glad Pete is coming back. Pete's knowledge about the theme park/resort business as a whole leads to deeper insights behind the announcements made by all the Orlando Theme Parks. He often sees the motives behind the press releases and I find he's very often dead-on in his analysis.

He is an extremely engaging and insightful speaker and quite honestly has a great voice for "radio".

It also had nothing to do with the job the rest of the team did - I was really happy in how each one of them stepped up and brought something different to the show each week. But I've been talking about this to Walter for a few weeks now. Sitting in on the show last week was what pushed me over the edge. I didn't realize just how much I missed it until then. I love the show, I love the people I do the show with, and I love the people who listen. The whole idea behind stepping down as head of the DIS was to allow me to focus on the things that made me happy. Well, this makes me happy. I'm still REALLY glad Corey is calling the shots (actually had to get his blessing before I asked the rest of the team), but I love hosting the show. Yes, some of it's ego, some of it's a manifestation of my psychotic control issues, but I love it and it feels great being back.

When I heard you were stepping down and everyone was going to rotate as host I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I am happy to say I did enjoy it, with that said, it wasn't the same. I really enjoyed every show, but I would think "I wonder what Pete would say about this or that" during the segments. You bring something to the show that know one else can.
I can't wait to see you in April on the ABD trip so I can thank you in person for everything you do Pete, Thanks!

Sometimes it takes stepping away from something to realize how much it means to you.

When you said you were stepping down as host I really wondered how long it would last, from this listener's point of view, it was very obvious how much you enjoyed it/how much it meant to you, so I was pretty sure you wouldn't be able to stay away long.

I truly enjoyed the rotating hosts, but I also really missed you at the helm, it just seems like it is where you belong. It's great to have you back. I actually jumped up and clapped when you announced it. :teeth:

While all the other's brought their own twist to the host position you bring something more - You bring the "PASSION" the "JOIE DE VIVRE"

And I like having one person hosting. Said so before - was not a big fan of the rotating hosts.

It was great to hear Pete again, and I'm not suprised he wanted to get back in the hot seat ;)
Loved everyones different styles and it made a nice change, it's good to know the team can still do a Podcast without Pete - but it is Pete's calling I think he is the best at making it flow, loved the show this week :goodvibes

Everyone did a great job when they hosted. BUT - I have to admit that I was clapping and cheering in my car when I heard that Pete was coming back for good. I'm sure I looked very silly to anyone who saw me, but I was very happy. I love that your hosting again, I really missed hearing Pete's voice every week.

I can't express how thrilled I am that "THE HOST" is back! Pete the show wasn't the same without you. I am grateful for the efforts the rest of the team made to keep the show going but without you Pete I felt ad though something was missing! This whole experience could serve as a format for the future. Maybe Pete can take his time off - let the other team members [for a month or so] host a show and then when he returns, he'll be re-energized and ready to go. I am not implying anything other than that as a teacher, I LOVE what I do but the two months off in the summer are needed and a great way to reflect and re-energize the proverbial batteries. I miss the students like crazy but the time off allows me to get ready for the 10 month 'season.'

But again, welcome back Pete!

It speaks to how well the team works together that the feeling they would give Pete in his absence is not "oh great, they're screwing it up!" but that it was "Oh man, I miss this".

Pete, I've been in the position myself where I was so overwhelmed by what I had responsibility for that all the fun was gone but then having relinquished control I found it so much more enjoyable. It must be a wonderful feeling to know that Cory can handle the responsibility and that you can stay for the fun. Also, knowing that anyone of the team can step in as host would make it so much easier for both you and John, knowing that you can plan your trips, have fun and that the show will go on...though I do agree with Kevin...your powers are diminished when one of your number is missing!
