Sequoia Lodge or Newport?

Trying to book from America today (jealous of all you that are getting some great deals not available to us over here!) and was all set for Sequoia Lodge for myself and 2 friends but it says we can upgrade to Newport for only 84 more dollars! Is it worth it? I have read lots of stuff on here and still can't decide!

In my opinion, no!

I much prefer Sequoia! Newport Bay looks very pretty from the outside but I found it disappointing. Our room was miles away from the reception/restaurants and the hotel was (as of 3 years ago) in desperate need of a refurbishment.

Thanks! I think we might stick with Sequoia Lodge and upgrade to the Montana Room instead. We aren't really picky about stuff, just want air conditioning and a good location!
