We are planning on attending a conference in September in Rochester, NY for the Association for Glycogen Storage Disease, which my 5 year old daughter has.

They are having a silent auction to raise money for research to one day find a cure. Any ideas of some things I could purchase or make that people would be interested in? People will be there from all over the US. I have never participated in a silent auction before, but would love to help out as this is something that is really close to my heart.

TIA

Melinda

Some of the items that have had heavy bidding on at silent auctions have been:

Autographed items (sports, books etc)

Quilts

Gift Certificates for national brands (this usually gets a dollar more than the value of the GC: JC Pennys, Sears Filenes)

Gift Baskets - especially the cute, themed baskets: baby cakes, newlywed, birthday

Airline Gift Certificates

Best of luck to you!

contact the Green Bay Packers organization (or for that matter any local team) for an item to auction. I've seen lots of GB Packer footballs in auctions because of this. And it only costs you a phone call.
