I want to use fabric markers to decorate the opposite side of items that I (foolishly) already did the iron on transfers on. Which heat setting method for the markers is going to be less harmful to the iron on transfers? Iron for 4 minutes or hot dryer for 30 minutes?

Is it 2 layers like a shirt or bag? If so, do you have something small to fit between the layers so you can heat set the markers?
I made shirts for our last trip that had transfers on the front and back. I used a small glass (heat resistent) pot holder to put inside to seperate the layers on my daughters shirts.
I have also washed our shirts several times and dried them in the dryer on the lowest temperature. They have come out fine. I don't know if using high heat will cause the transfer to peel.
Hope this helps,
Krista

Thanks for your response! These are very small bags, like 5x7. I plan for them to be pin holders for the pins we aren't currently trading. The markers say to iron from the opposite side to heat set them. I cannot fit my iron inside these tiny bags. In order to iron the marker side from the back, I would have to iron right on top of the iron on transfer side. Maybe I should try the dryer?

Can you turn the bags inside out and then use a towel or seperate the front and back? Since you do not have to press as hard to set the markers as you do for a transfer that may work.
