Thought some of you might get a kick out of this. There's a pretty funny video that shows what happens when theme park guests (like, oh, I don't know, Animal Kingdom head designer Joe Rohde) start behaving like they own the place... :cool1:

If this loser's lucky this might get him a job on TMZ.
The reality is Joe should be able to jump in himself and it's all good. Act like he own's it?!? He should.

Easy there, tiger. It's one of those tongue-in-cheek things. Obviously Joe Rohde is a giant among men.

But didn't he look kind and sweet tossing his half-naked, non-swim diapered child into a fountain which isn't meant to be used as a human water feature:confused3

I remember that pool as one of my favorite features at the park. It was really cool.
I was crushed when I came back three years later to find it filled in. I figured it was offed because it was damaged or too expensive to operate/repair.
The whole video and article are stupid though. Joe wasn't even dunking his child in he was just letting him splash the water with his feet.
I highly doubt that their reasoning for removing the water feature is correct. There are many more throughout the Disney parks that are just as easy to access.
I'll stand behind my guess that it was damaged and to expensive to repair or attempt to repair. It was a huge edgeless pond that had to be absolutely level to operate correctly. Any sort of settling/shifting of the structure would have ruined it. Crying shame really as it was really neat.

A few years ago we were at Cal. Grill having dinner and Joe Rhode and about 7 other people were sitting by us. I knew who he was (Disney freak that I am) the rest of my family was like who, but then they remember him from an AK video or something. I was going to go over, but I thought I better not bother them. He seemed like a fun guy. He had that same earring in then.
