Toy Story Playland: 2nd April 2010

Just got email saying it "lands" 2nd april 2010 :D

So happy as I thought later in year was daft with the movie soon to release, will be there for when we go aswell! woo

Isn't that the New Generation though, that lands from 2nd April? Thats what the TV adverts are about - New Generation year, not Toy Story Land.

I'm confused. We're going in mid May, but I was under the impression that the Toy Story Playland attractions weren't going to open until July. Am I wrong?

I don't think any specific date was ever mentioned, but from as the video mentions and the date, it's April 2 by the looks of it.

On the Disneyland website it says late summer?! did your email say that rides would be open??

I don't want to disappoint you, and I hope ToyStory Land does open on/ahead of schedule, but I just wanted to mention that Tower of Terror was advertised as a 15th anniversary attraction, but it didn't open at the start of the 15th anniversary year in April 2007 - in fact, I took some pics on my October 07 trip, when it was still being built :confused3. I think Crush's Coaster may have been a similar story.

The New Generation festival starts then and the new Parades and shows are from 2nd April - Princess Tiana, Sully etc

Opening late summer 2010: a Toy Stoy Playland at Walt Disney Studios® Park.

As they have nowhere near finished the new rides yet, they are no way going to get them ready in a month.

Toy Story playland is open LATE summer 2010 not April.

The 2nd April is when the New Generation Starts.

As already stated, it'd be nearly impossible for these rides to be open in a month. Only the basic framework of the rides are up and that's the easy bit! The mechanisms have to me fitted and tested. The area has to be themed. If they open to anyone but AP (for previews) before August, I'd be very surprised.

At the shareholders meeting today, it was announced that they're opening in August. Hopefully it's early August!

Toy Story Land opens in August, it was announced yesterday by Phillipe Gas at the shareholders meeting.
