Yankee Candle or Partylite

<font color=navy>Before I discovered Yankee Candle, I was invited to a Partylite party (like Princesshouse parties, but the hostess sells candles)...

The Partylite candles burn at a very low temperature, and soon liquify so you have this luminescent burning liquid - it's really beautiful when you light them up....

So, which type of candle would you prefer? YC or PL ... or a cheap one would do after all?

I've used all sorts of candles before, Yankee is by far the superior product imo.

Illuminations comes close, but they don't have the variety, so I stick with YC. :)

Party Lite! Party Lite!

Okay, can you tell I'm a Party Lite consultant? :teeth: :teeth: They definitely have the BEST candles.

It depends on the type of candle. As far as jar candles and tarts go Yankee Candles are the best (in my opinion). For votives and 3-wicks I vote for Party Lite. For pillars and tapers, either is fine, I find no significant difference.

Cheap, no name candles......NO WAY!!! I have tried some and do not like the way they burn and the scent normally doesn't last.

They are my absolute favourite NO CHEAPIE candles though! :)

I don't like Party Lite for the simple reason that I don't like the pressure of being invited to the parties. I know that you don't <i>have</i> to buy anything, but I always feel like I should.

I've never tried PartyLite (Probably would be obsessed) but I love love love Yankee Candle!!!

Cant stand Partylite, LOVE Yankee...

I don't like cheapies either.... but I will use cheapie tealights for the tart warmers...

Yankee for almost everything, but I did buy Partylite candles hosted by a cousin, and bought the votives. Some of my votive holders are just plain and small, and the partylite votives fit better.

I have to admit, that I like both types of candles.. for different reasons. I think that Yankee candles smell so much better than Partylite, not to mention they are cheaper.. however, I like the way the Partylite candles burn. With that said, I do go for saving money and smell, so I buy mainly Yankee!

I like Illuminations best. Love the Eggnog scent, just ordered candy cane and some kind of christmas tree? . yankee candle is second and I just don't buy Partylite.

I like both but I voted Partylite. Some of their scents are very "light", which I prefer.

I haven't tried PartyLite, but have tried Yankee and I'm not impressed for what you pay for them.

My aunt makes incredibly scented candles that are MUCH cheaper for me, so I can get whatever scent I want. I also love White Barn candles, and Henry Bendel candles (the most fragrant I've ever had). Dreamer candles are another that are EXCELLENT.

I'm not choosy in brand, depends on scent and longevity. I've had WalMart candles that have burned great as well!

I vote for Yankee Candles. Love all the different scents. Love the tarts, also.

They last so long. :cloud9:
