Yes, you can pay with a personal check. We did this last year at the Contemporary. I believe they do call and have the check approved, but no problems!

Just have your valid Drivers license with you for ID. Checks are more than welcome at the resorts in WDW!

We have always wrote checks for our room balance and in the parks. No problems at all. I did call and verify that this practice was still ok and they told me no problem. Just bring your drivers liscense!!!

I have always paid WDW resorts with a personal check and never had a problem. I called the Dolphin prior to our trip in April and they said they did not accept personal checks for the room balance. I ended up paying them with traveler's checks.

I think that the Swan and Dolphin operate under different policies from the rest of Disney World because these hotels aren't owned or operated by Disney.
