Hi everyone,
so i am planning to go to DLP on 14/6 staying for either 3 or 4 nights (have not decided yet) at the HNY. I have couple of questions here that i really hope u guys can help me out.

we will be flying from glasgow on 14/6 morning flight. i think we will arrive in DLP midday. ok no problem there. However on the return flight i found that friday flight (18/6) is cheaper compared to thursday (17/6). Both flights depart from CDG midday at 12.05 to glasgow.

so here's my dilema:

if i booked the package for 3 or 4 nights at HNY, surely we wont be using the park ticket on the 17/6 or 18/6 because we need to catch the flight at 12.05noon. therefore this will be a waste, no? :confused3

should i just booked for 3 nights package and use the park ticket for 17/6 full day then check out from HNY and check in at a different hotel (probably off site) and just stay overnight and this way i won't be wasted on the park ticket?

should i go to paris city instead for the remaining one night? i was thinking leaving the DLP around 5 or 6pm then to paris and stay overnight in paris. Maybe can do couple of sightseeings in Paris but the thought of having a toddler an an infant in tow with a tandem buggy wandering around waiting for metro tube is not good (has had bad experience when we went to paris 3 yrs ago when DS1 was 1 yr old and it was a nightmare using buggy at the tube station).

maybe i should just choose nearer hotel for just one night ie at the marne la vallee? or do u guys have any other ideas?

please help me.any input is greatly appreciated.

I think you'll probably find that there isn't a lot of difference in that extra night, which includes an extra days park ticket. The park tickets included in the hotel packages with Disney don't cost much, in comparison to the cost of a nights accommodation there.

I think you should price up your 3 nights, then your extra night. See what the difference is (forget about the extra days park ticket, you're not really getting charged for that in a package anyway). If the difference is so much that its worth you checking out, packing etc, and then moving to a room-only hotel nearby for your last night, only to unpack a bit again for one night, then re-pack again for your flight home, then I'm sure we can suggest suitable hotels :).

You might find its not worth doing that though, as the price may not be that much different. I think that should be the first thing to do, check out the difference for the extra night at the HNY. Remember there will be offers coming out also soon, reducing the price at onsite hotels etc.

thanks for your reply. :goodvibes. I have priced up both 3 nights and 4 nights package using the dutch website (provided that the 40% offer also applies to us in the uk). heres the price for HNY :

3 nights=£552
4 nights=£690

flight return on 17/6=£314
flight return on 18/6=£278

what do u reckon is the best?:headache:

Hmmm - thats a net difference of £102. How much hassle would it be packing all your stuff up on your 4th day and moving you all to another hotel for one night? You'd have to check out of your Disney hotel by 11am, but you could do it first thing in the morning, have your day in the parks, then go to your other hotel in the evening/later in the day.

I can't advise you on hotels etc in Paris, I've never made it there yet on a DLP trip. Would you want to stay in an associated hotel near DLP on your last night, or a bit further afield (ie involving a couple of minutes train journey).

You could check out sites like Alpharooms, travelrepublic, sunshine.co.uk, Expedia etc etc to see how much a room only offsite for the one night is likely to cost you?

im not being funny but how much are you actually going to save. you will have to get to this other hotel pay for the night there go back to disney for the day and travel again that night. between travel costs and the cost of a nights hotel stay i wouldnt think you would be saving that much. you will also be missing out on time in the park on your last day. my flights are always early so to be honest i dont really think about the ticket. its not like you paid for it to throw it away, they have no value if bought with a package

I also don't think you're going to save much by going to another hotel for your 4th night, compared with the price you've been given for the HNY. So I guess it really boils down to whether you think 2 and a half days in the parks is enough time for you, or is it worth the extra £102 to have the extra full day in the parks?

tq guys for your replies. i think i probably go for 4 nights. you are true, the hassle to move out and check in a different hotel and combine with travelling probably not worth it.

tq for throwing some lights on this.

another questions but on a totally different topic:

i would like to get the annual pass. i am not sure how it works out. do i just book the above package and when we get to DLP get the AP or is there any other way that we could save some money?

sorry too many questions :)

You won't get any money back from the tickets included in your package if you get an AP, they have no value. What most people do who have an AP for the first time is stay off site and buy an AP when there. AP offers for room only on Disney hotels are not generally good. In fact we have APs but our March trip is a package deal because it was such a good deal.

If you want an AP for each member of your party, you would probably be cheaper (or almost the same price as onsite, once you factor in paying for your APs) staying offsite (the associated hotels are very nice, very close to the resort, and have free shuttle buses which run to and from the parks all day every day), and then buying your APs when you get to the resort.
