Could anyone please give me some more information about the BWI Concierge? We're looking at changing our current reservation at the WL to the BWI (arriving on 9/11). We've never stayed concierge before, is it worth it (for 2)? We've read reviews for other concierge such at AKL, are the offerings at the BWI similar? What type of rooms does the concierge floor offer?

Thanks for your help.

To be honest it isn't worth it for 2 people. I did concierge for just the 2 of us and for the extra money I would of rather by my own bottle water, snacks and unmade my own bed. the first time I went concierge it was great, I think cause I was new to it but after a few times especially the last time at BWI it soured me towards ever doing it again.:D

I had the opposite experience at BWI concierge. They were wonderful there! We enjoy evening cocktails and wine, and that in itself while doesn't totally compensate for the additional cost of concierge makes a big difference.

I've also found concierge rooms are generally in better shape. I LIKE evening turndown service, as well as the upgraded toiletries and the bathrobes. It's nice to not have to pack one.

I have two trips planned to the BWI in a Deluxe Concierge room, and we were at the AKL in May. My last trip to the BWI was Christmas last year. I would say they are a little different. I love the location of the BWI and I like the fact that I don't have to worry about what my view will be with the room we have chosen it will always be a water view. I did love my view at the AKL but it was not a sure thing. I had good experiences at both with CM's. Now the food offerings, I thought they were much better and there was more of it at the AKL! AKL also has an awesome machine that makes cappucino, espresso, and hot chocolate that is for the guests use. Desserts at the BWI can't be beat they were yummy! When requesting soda and water it was warm at the BWI and cold at the AKL, but at the BWI they where always ready to go in the back and get what we wanted before we even asked(they knew what were drinking). Don't forget thet AKL offers the Sunrise Safari which is an awesome adventure. If you were looking to get your money's worth out of it for 2 people I would definately go for AKL. Laurie :D

Thanks for all your replies, we'll probably still change to the BWI but I doubt it will be concierge. We might try and stay a couple of nights concierge at the AKL. Are the rooms too high up and away from the animals though?
