I've seen some mention of discounted teacher rates at the Swan and Dolphin - does anyone know about these? When offered? What is the discount amount?

Depends on the time.
I have seen $99 to $129 in the last 12 months.
Just give them a call!

I have been looking at this recently. The lowest rate I can see offered in the near future is $139. That is by looking here ~ https://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/dreamsres/sd.cfm

I would call them directly. They are great with teachers. When I got there they didn't even ask to see my school ID. The rooms are awesome and the pool is great. The only bad thing was that we couldn't ride the Magical Express. Don't know if that is still the case.

Still no ME, but since there is some very reasonably priced transportation ($124 roundtrip for our group of 5), the cost at S/D with teacher rate still beats moderate rates and we got an amazing resort.

I have $129 for July. I got that on their website, but I've often found better luck when I call S/D directly.

S/D are amazing resorts even at a much higher rate. The fact that I can get a deluxe resort with that incredible location, amazing views, great restaurants, beautiful pools, etc amazes me every time.

I will have to call. I don't see any discounts for November on the website. . . I wonder if they only come out so far in advance. . .

I am booked at the BWI (40% off PIN), but if I can get a better rate at the S/D I'd probably take it -- they are an equally great location!! :goodvibes

If you call and don't get what you want, make sure you call back closer to the date. I'd be surprised if something w a teacher discount didn't open up for Nov, unless it's Thanksgiving.

Okay, I will keep checking. It would be for the 2nd week of November.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I called last week and got a room at the S/D at the government rate for the end of Nov. so you should be o.k. I agree with PP's about calling the resort itself. Good luck.

When I called about the teacher rate, the rate they offered me was the same as the the promotion they were offereing everyone on their website. They quoted me $169/night for teacher rate in Sept. I didn't think it was that great of a deal... especially when anyone could have gone to their website and gotten that price.

I just called because the website was saying $259 for my dates in November.

I was told the Dolphin didn't have any teacher discounts for my dates and was quoted $169 a night for the Swan. . .
