Hello all. So I just booked our fam vaca to WDW for the first week of May!!! This will be the first time we will use the dining plan and specifically the QS plan. So for all of you Dis pros out there where can I get the best food? What are your fav restaurants and the food you get there? I'm pretty sure we won't have to eat burgers and pizza every day but beyond that I'm clueless as to what's the best and best bang for your buck. Any advice will be greatly appreciated and probably even used. Thanks again all!!!

Well, when it comes to food, it's a very subjective subject. I encourage you to look at the menus over on Allears.net (http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm) and make some decisions for your family. I will tell you my favorites.

MK - Pecos Bill's and Cosmic Rays
AK - Pizzafari & Flame Tree
DHS - Backlot Express (honestly, there is no spectacular option here)
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons

EPCOT-Sunshine Seasons, lots of variety
DTD- Earl Of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express
Coronado Springs Resort-Pepper Market
Poly-Captain Cook's
Port Orleans-both sides have Chef dinners and Riverside has create your own pasta, it's the size of a Chinese takeout container

Here's some we've enjoyed.

MK - Pecos Bills, Casey's, Columbia Harbour House, and Pinocchio's

EP - United Kingdom (I do this at least once per trip), Germany, Mexico (although wasn't real thrilled with the new menu)

DHS - Pizza Planet, Backlot Express

AK - Pizzafari (only one we've ever had QS at AK at, since we're usually doing a character breakfast, and only there part of the day)

DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express (this ranks only behind Biergarten as my favorite place to eat at WDW, whether it be TS or QS), Earl of Sandwich

I personally would eat at Wolfgang Puck Express, Earl of Sandwich, and United Kingdom's QS over many TS restaurants if I were touring the World by myself. Of course I'm a guy whose favorite steak is Salisbury, wishes Thanksgiving dinner was turkey subs from Subway, and thought it was great when DW suggested pizza for Christmas this year.

We did the QS plan last May, and we really liked it. Felt more free to tour as we wanted, not clock-watching. Also, were able to eat much much faster, so as not to "waste" park time.

Epcot probably has the best options for counter service. Between Sunshine Seasons and WS you can't hardly go wrong there.
We have done QSDP a few times, and have eaten well. But I can't think of anything outstanding.
We even had the scallop platter at Cooke's of Dublin. I think next time there I would want to try one of their meat pies. They looked awfully good.

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone. Keep 'em coming!

My choices are exactly the same - you must have good taste :rotfl2: I would just add in Columbia Harbor House.

 I must say that I did enjoy the Columbia Harbor House when I tried it once on a solo trip. I just haven't had multiple experiences to be able to say that it is consistantly good.
