View Full Version : U.S Disney Parks Annual Pass?
Just curious, but how much would you be willing to pay for a combined Disneyland & Walt Disney World annual pass with no water park fun and more option?
I'd probably be willing to pay $600 to $650, but not much more.

Interesting. I looked online to the cost of the DLR annual pass that has no blackout dates and includes parking, and the cost of the standard annual pass at WDW. For one adult, the combined price is $950.00.
:scared1:
So if they offered a North America annual pass that got you admission and parking to all major theme parks, $600 sounds like a bargain!

I think I would be willing to pay about $100 less than the two APs combined. It would probably be something I would only do once and plan a lot of Disney trips that year.
I would love to see an "all parks" AP. I would love to see all the disney parks in one year.

I took it a step further to account for costs of people renewing their WDW annual passes and those who get the DVC discounts.
And these are prices rounded.
People buying both DLR and WDW new combined: $950.00
People buying both DLR and renewing WDW combined: $907.00
And those with DVC:
DLR and WDW new combined: $843.00
DLR and WDW renewal combined: $795.00
So a cost of $600.00 to $650.00 is still a bargain.

Intersting....Maybe $800 would be a better number.

If they charged that, I'd want that payment plan that the Southern CA residents can get with their DLR AP purchase! :faint:

There is a rumor going around that FL residents will be offered a payment plan...check out the Disney Rumors and News board!
I know that would bring some of my friends and co-workers to WDW because they've told me that they chose Universal over WDW simply because of the no-interest payment plan. If Disney offered a similar option, I'm sure they'd get more "townies" into the parks.

I think I heard on another podcast that it's rumored to be approximately $800

I don't know that I would pay for one. We have gotten annual passes for WDW before, but only when it works out that we need them. Em and I will probably both get them this year. Possibly James. But if would happen to need an annual pass for WDW, there is probably not a possibility of going to DL.

Since I don't get to the left coast with any regularity (only been twice in the last 15 years) I'd only buy one of these in a year that I was planning a Disneyland trip. And in that case I'd only be willing to pay the difference between a regular WDW AP and a 5 day DL/DCA ticket.

MiceChat mentioned this "Domestic Parks" pass as a possibility a while ago...

I also don't think I'd go for it at all. I can't see possibly getting to both parks enough to make it work. It is hard enough getting to WDW often enough :)
FYI, MousePlanet is reporting that paying WDW APs in installments may be an option this year, but according to them only FL Residents are eligible...

That would be my issue as well. How many people would visit CA and FL enough to find it appealing, well except for Ros....

I'm going to Disneyland for 2 days in May. My last trip there was 3 days in March 2006. Since I don't go to CA very often, it wouldn't interest me at any price.

I've been to DisneyLand twice in my life, only because I lived in San Diego at the time. When I left the West Coast, I didn't look back. Upon being stationed eastside, we checked out the "new" Disney Park and I fell totally head over heals for WDW. At that time, MK and EPCOT were the only parks open. As much I did enjoy DL, and don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful park and it holds the memories of Walt, I just don't see myself going to the west coast for a Disney fix, when WDW in Florida has so much more to offer, it's so much bigger and closer. So for me, I wouldn't buy both.

I've gotten out to DLR a few times, but usually a couple years between the most recent trips. It doesn't make sense for me to get the DLR AP.
But I did notice that everywhere I went to eat, the Disneyland/DCA cast members asked if I had an AP. Apparently you get a discount for quick service at Disneyland if you have an AP. They all seemed surprised that I was an actual tourist!
I do have the WDW AP, with the DVC member discount. That's been worth every penny.

Isn't it though...It's the best DVC perk of all.

Nothing. I don't go to California.
I always SAY I'm going to go to California, but I never do. No way I'd buy the passes until I booked the flight. And I wouldn't go enough to justify an AP.

I could see the $750 - $800 range. Living so close to DLR and the fact that we also get to WDW with some regularity, yes, I'd do the combined pass. It won't be for everyone, but it would work for us!

I guess I am a cheap skate, but my max would be $100 over WDW AP price at the time of sale to have access to both parks.
It would be neat if a WDW AP would also cover DL admission right now.

Given that they accept WDW days on MYW tickets, I don't understand why they don't take the AP...it would more likely get me to go over to the left coast and spend money.

We got DL AP's once and it was wonderful
We also went to DL and WDW in the same year once- yes we were incredibly spoiled. But I don't think we would ever be able to go to both parks more than one time each in a year to make it worth it. I think the cost of a regular 3 day disneyland pass and a 7 day WDW pass would still be cheaper.

I'm with you. $200 MAX more. I think if they had it where you'd have to pay $800 for both, that's just way too much. Considering the only people who would buy it wouldn't be frequenting both parks ever day.

In case folks missed it - the price for the all parks AP is $700!
For us that's way too high. We just renewed our WDW AP's at something like $388 (DVC discount). So when (if) we go to DL we will just have to settle for the ruf of the mill day guest rate.

Well, one thing about them is they are the equivalent of a premium pass at WDW - water parks, DQ and the golf course included. So its $155 over the regular Premium AP price ($280 over DVC price). So if you are premium AP person, it actually sounds like a better deal.
But there are no plans for a DVC discount - yet.

With hindsight, I was thinking this might have been a good thing for me from April 2009 - April 2010.
Hmm. This is an intriguing idea :scratchin My WDW AP is a DVC renewal so it is around $340. A DLR one day parkhopper is $97. So I'd probably need 5 DLR visits to make this work out (in my mind, not necessarily in the true monetary sense). Most of my Southern Calif. trips are for business so I can't always count on having time to visit DLR. Although, as I've learned with my WDW AP, having one seems to justify visits on the warped logic that park admission is already paid for ;)

If they would have had something to the effect of "for an extra $100 per ticket" kind of deal I think people may have jumped all over this.
I wonder what % of people who visit the park actually are able to hit both WDW and DL in one year.

Agree Drake. That would have gotten me to jump for it and maybe actually planned a trip to DL. As it currently stands there's no incentive for me to do the long flight out to to the left coast. I'll probably wait for another couple of years before doing a DL trip.

It's been posted on the Disney Parks blog that anyone who currently holds APs for both DL and WDW will automatically be upgraded to the new dual park AP with an expiration date of the later of your two passes.
I have APs to both parks right now, my DL one expires in about a month, and my WDW pass expires April of next year. So it looks like Disney is giving me free admission to Disneyland for the next year!
While I'm thrilled to be getting this new pass, I'm not sure I would pay for it year after year, even though I do visit both parks regularly. I always buy the Disneyland So. Cal. or Deluxe passes depending on what I can afford and if there are ant deals available, and I use the DVC discount on my WDW AP. So between the two I don't think I ever spend more than $700.

We are still thinking about it as well. We have never been to the water parks at WDW and we try to visit at least once a year but we are at the Disneyland Resort all the time.

I received the voucher for the new pass today! It is the Disneyland type plastic pass. It doesn't have my picture on it though. I'm so excited!
