View Full Version : Radisson Resort Parkway...HELP!!!
I knew I should not have looked....
but I did! I checked hotelkingdom rates and they have the Radisson for $55.90 a night and will upgrade you at no charge to the deluxe poolview room and it looks like a very beautiful place. I did a search and it comes out very favorable...but PLEASE TELL ME MORE! I need to know both the good and the bad! I need it ALL!
The reason being...I have the Contemporary booked for my trip in Aug. and I am paying $154 including tax a night, which is a great rate for the Contemporary.
This is a $100 a night difference, but I want a really nice hotel, and need to know about the Raddisson! Help we are leaving in 16 days so I must decide like now...I knew I shouldn't of looked!

Are you sure that they are definitely going to uprade you to the poolview room becasue there's usually a $10 charge per night extra for this. The Radisson is a really nice place to stay. I was just there in April/May. It all dependson what you want. Do you want to be right "in" Disney or is a 5 minute trip okay? The pool area is really nice. It has 3 pools (1 heated, 1 not heated but with a giant waterslide and 1 kiddie pool). Are you traveling with children because they eat for free in the hotel's restaurant? The whole hotel also went through a MAJOR renovation last year and all the rooms have been redone. It just depends what you want but for that price it's a really great value!
Yes, I am sure they will upgrade me. There is a small gold crown next to their hotel(Radisson) on hotelkingdom and when you click on it they give you a bonus, and it's a free upgrade to deluxe poolside.
Are there any balconies or is it just a window? What about the ground floor, any idea? I have so many questions???? LOL:confused:
How big are the rooms? Did you rent a fridge? Well, thanks for the input!

We were at the Radisson in March and had a ground floor room, non pool view. I would not take the pool view area as it can get loud and there are no balconies, just large windows that slide open. It is a nice resort and our kids had a blast at the pools, but we were looking for down time after the parks and cruise.
They have a nice restaraunt on site that has a breakfast buffet - kids eat free. They also have a shuttle to the parks, but we did not use them.
If it were me, I would stay at the Contemporary. You got a great rate there! You can't compare a Magic Kingdom resort with off-site.
The rooms were regular size hotel rooms.

You really did get a GREAT rate at the Contemporary. If I were you, I would stay at the Contemporary for that rate! The rooms at the Radisson are regular size rooms with either 1 king or 2 double beds. We did rent a refrigerator and it cost $5 extra per day. If you have any other questions, please let me know. They also have a game room and small playground on-site as well as a Pizza Hut Express and a 50's style diner.

The Disney entrance is literally straight ahead on 192, not more than a 5 minute drive. As far as restaurants, there's a plaza next door with a pizza place, a steakhouse and a convenience store. Since you're right on 192, there are TONS of restaurants close by. Hope this helps!
