Does everyone in your group have to sign up for the Dining plan ?
We have 9 family members going to WDW.
7 of us are staying "on-site" at Caribbean Beach Resort.
If only 3 people (staying on-site) want to do the DDP is that okay or does our entire group have to do it ?
Can the 3 people share any of their food credits with anyone in our group ?
thanks for your help......we're confused.

All people on a reservation must elect the same tickets and dining plan.
However, if the 3 people who want the DDP are staying in a room together than that room can be it's own reservation and could elect to do the DDP while other reservations could choose not to.
I don't know about the share credits but why would they want to? They paid for it... :confused3

Dining credits (and food purchased with dining credits) cannot be shared with persons NOT participating in the dining plan.
The three people who want the DDP would have to be in a room or rooms entirely separate from the other four people, and their reservation/s would have to be made separately from, or separated from, the reservation/s of the four non-DDPers.

fleshing out the above: The three persons who want DDP would have to be registered on their own separate room reservation. The other 4 persons would have to be on a completely different room reservation from the 3 who want DDP.
So your group could book two rooms on separate reservations, put the 3 DDP users in one room and the 4 non-DDP users in the other room. Anyone registered in the DDP room would have to get DDP for the length of the stay.
It is true that the DDP group could not share their dining credits with the non-DDP group. However, the entire group could eat together, as long as the server is notified regarding which of the group are paying using dining credits and which are using other payment methods.
