Pack up this house!!!

We are supposed to close on Friday ( please pray that we do!) then we paint and clean then start moving in but I dont WANNA pack!!!!

We have lived here for four years and had 2 babies in the meantime doyou have any idea how much crap accumulates in that amount of time????


Im back to my belief that one should move every year just so one can purge oneself of all the life-crud you know?

Anyone want to come and help me pack?

I know what you mean. DH and I love to dream about moving to a quieter neighborhood. But then whenever dh or myself help someone move we always say the same thing. "Remind me of this day, when I talk about moving!" :) It is so much work! We have been in this house 8 years, and although we try to not keep a lot of stuff hanging around we have a lot of stuff hanging around! :) I wish I could come help you pack. It is so much more fun and easier with help.

I hate packing too but I hate UNPACKING even more!!!!!!! I mean you get this stuff to fit in these darned boxes and then you have to take it out and try to stuff it someplace else....hate it!!!!

Since my DH is in the military, we move at least every 3 years....have been doing this for 16 years now. (We have moved 9 times), so I feel your pain. One good thing about moving is you get to get rid of a lot of that "crap".

ohhhh packing up will be great!! You get to actaully go through ALL of your stuff and remember some great times, and wonder why in the world you kept that certain piece of plastic or whatever..and then you can actually make everything nice and neat and get rid of the stuff you dont want...and when you move in to your new house, it will be like starting all over with a clean plate and you get to have the fun of redecorating and putting everything where you want it to go and love your new house and everything!!! it will be a GOOD time! :) hahah ! you just have to smile and push through and find the fun in it all...and i bet you will have a good time in the end...if you need to...take a break and grab something nice to drink :) it will be fun!

hey tiggerlover..just saw your post...and i think you and i have the same attitude for the same reason, accept i was the dependent daughter...i remember my sophomore year of HS was speant in THREE different houses...wowie! Gotta make the best of it, and actually get to the point now where i feel like i have to move or ill go nuts...so instead i rearrange the furniture..hahaha!!

Hey binny! If I wasn't in such a jam here I'd be there in a heartbeat to help you..

Any chance you could weed through quickly and make snap decisions about saving things or sending them to the Goodwill shop? Might cut down on what you have to transport..

Hope you'll be happy in your new home.. I kind of like the idea of moving but if we ever move it will take a YEAR to sort through stuff and pack - and that's being optimistic!!

I feel your pain. While I am not moving, I am preparing for a garage sale, bleech. I am working hard to sell stuff for a nickel, LOL.
