Flight Arrival at Orlando is 2:15... Is that too late to catch the ship? I am reading that we should arrive no later than 12 noon! Any experienced input would be greatly appreciated!!!

are you talking about the day you arrive for going to the pier, or the day that you are flying out for home?

this would be our arrival time at the airport... before the cruise.

That would be cutting it too close for comfort esp if there is a delay somewhere. I would prefer to arrive early than miss the boat.:(

That's what I was thinking... we were trying to get the best rates with non-stop travel... but I don't know what we're going to do!!!

I would try for an early flight (noon or earlier) OR better yet would be to arrive the day before. We ALWAYS schedule to arrive the day before.

I suppose we will have to change... not sure about going the day before... 6 months and 1 day!!!

I agree with wovenwonder, we always fly in the day before our cruise just to make sure that we have plenty of time.
It also gives you the chance to take advantage of overbooked flights and give up your seat for a later flight. We did this our last cruise and received almost $1000 from Southwest to take a later flight. :D

When we went on DCL last time we flew in the day of departure. Our flight out of Omaha in the morning was canceled. We were in a hurry the whole day and also nervous about missing the ship. By the time we got to the ship we had to hurry up stairs to eat and then hurry down to get ready for the lifeboat drill and then time for supper. It made for a very hectic day. The kids were tierd and it even carried into the next day a little bit. This year we are coming in on Saturday night.

If it were me in your situation, I would surely fly in the day before, especially if are flying in the winter time from anywhere it snows...just my thoughts.

If you go to Dave's website http://www.dcltribute.com/
he has a link to what is available right by the port. I know a lot of people stay at the Radisson and are very happy with it.
