Standard or water view room at RPR?

Hi, we are staying 5 nights at RPR and we could upgrade to the water view room for an extra $18 per night. Is it worth it? What are the standard view rooms like? Is the view the only difference?

Also...maybe I was hallucinating but I thought I saw something about Universal sometimes offering free dining when WDW does...that is still up in the air but am I recalling correctly that US sometimes does this?
