Hi! We're the Crazies! :dance3:

Yes, we are one of the crazy couples that decided to venture beyond the Basic Dining plan and go for the Deluxe Dining Plan.

So let me just tell you right now, that when we first started planning this trip, I was the one against the Deluxe Dining plan for three reasons:

1) I'm not an appetizer person - I mean if I have to eat it I will, but ordinarily I won't order appetizers at a restaurant..i'm the one ordering dessert.

2) DH is not a dessert person :sad2: -gasp right? - he would definitely have 'real' food over anything sweet any day!

3) In order to make the Deluxe dining plan a steal, you have to have two ressies a day somewhere...whether that be a breakfast & lunch, a lunch & dinner, or a breakfast & dinner combo. With that, that means more running around the world trying to make all of our ADR's. Which means, more time eating and traveling to get there, rather than enjoying your time touring the parks.

But, I let my hubby have it his way (for once ;)) and allowed him to have the Deluxe Dining Plan.

So I'm going to be re-living my journey through food...won't you come along? It will be fun, yet exhausting, but mostly fun! :cool1:

I'll be linking up the restaurants as I complete them! Lets go!

I’ll be using the prices from the actual receipts that I saved and not from the menus at allears.net, so there may be some conflicting price points.

Kona Café

Our very first restaurant! Yippee! I was so stoked on eating here! I’ve only heard great things about this place so I knew I made a good decision on making this our first dining experience of our 9 day trip! So we head over to the Polynesian via boat from the Magic Kingdom.

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0384.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0390.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0392.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0393.jpg

Such a beautiful day, but really can this boat move any faster!?! I mean HELLO! :wave2: Leshaface is here so “lay off me I’m starving!” (Chris Farley, SNL) Forgot to warn you guys, I use movie and show quotes pretty much on a daily basis, so you’ll probably be hearing some outrageous stuff come out of my mouth…well not literally out of my mouth since you’re reading this, so you’ll be reading some outrageous stuff come from my fingertips! =)

Anyways, we finally get to the Poly.:yay: Love this resort! Very themey (is this a word? :upsidedow) I love the waterfall in the middle of the lobby…just makes you feel like you’ve been sucked into a completely different world..not Disneyworld, but a Polynesian type world..you get the idea.

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0400.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0399.jpg

Our ADR was for 9:20am but because out boat lacked speed, we arrived there at 9:45am, and immediately started apologizing for our lateness (this will be a reoccurring situation as you will soon see..ughh, I hate being late!) They were extremely polite and did not question us once on why we were late! I was so relieved...for some reason I thought I would be punished, and be forced to jump off the second story into the waterfall or something, but this did not happen, thankfully! Phew! :worship:

We got seated at a four top, which I was grateful for. I like spreading my belongings out, and I know you ladies can concur princess:. My video camera comes out including my new DSLR, my little point and shoot, and of course my hand sanitizer.

My lovely hubby waiting patiently...

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0395.jpg

The Entrees:

By recommendation of about 90% of the DIS population, I ordered the Tonga Toast- banana stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with strawberry compote and your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage ~ 10.99

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0396.jpg

Breakfast is my all time favorite meal of the day! I’m not sure why, but I would rather go have breakfast then lunch or dinner any day! I was extremely excited about my Tonga Toast and when it came I was salivating! I couldn’t dig into it any quicker…so filling and sweet, forget the bacon!...well actually I will have some of that bacon since you went to all that trouble to bring it out to me ;). Seriously though, the TT was enough for me! With that I got orange juice (2.29) and some coffee (2.69)…desperately needed some after that red eye with zero sleep!

The other 10% of the DIS population stated that the Big Kahuna breakfast was the way to go! French toast, macadamia-pineapple pancakes, eggs, home fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage ~ 11.99

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0397.jpg

Yup, definitely fatty overload, but Hi, we’re at Disneyworld, we can walk that off…well DH will have to walk that off, but I’ll walk next to him, encouraging him the whole way . With the Deluxe Dining plan, you can get a non-alcoholic beverage of choice including coffee (2.69), so DH went with a Mega-berry smoothie – raspberry puree and nonfat yogurt blended with Odwalla berries Go Mega ~ 4.69. Very yummy and somewhat healthy…blah…I might have a degree in health, but I know when it’s okay to not be thinking healthy, and right now, healthy food is definitely not in the forefront..it’s somewhere in my occipital lobe which has nothing to do with thinking right? :upsidedow

Anways, we rolled ourselves out of there, but not before taking a pic of some of my fav characters, Lilo & Stitch! :stitch2:

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0398.jpg

For those on the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 1 credit per person, which is 2 credits total.

For those paying OOP, 2 entrees, 2 cups of coffee, and 2 non-alcoholic beverages with tax is 37.64.

So the question is, will I come here again? ABSOLUTELY! In two shakes of a Persian kittens whiskers! (Will Ferrell, SNL) A fun environment for every person in your party! You will not regret coming here for breakfast..PLUS they have real coffee! Yes, REAL COFFEE! Sold now??

P.S. I know not too many pictures, but I get way better...so gimme a break alright?? =)

Artist Point

To end our first day of our glorious vacation, we decided to make ADR’s at Artist Point. I’ve haven’t heard much about this place on the DIS, so we kind of went into this blindly. My DH and I have spent MONTHS(literally...we had a year and a half to plan..pure TORTURE!) pouring over all the menus at allears.net to get an idea of what we would like to have once we arrived.

So we get there…it was our first time ever walking into the Wilderness Lodge…beautiful.

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0468.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0445.jpg

It reminded me of Disney’s Grand Californian, with the large, open lobby. We walked around the lobby a bit, in awe of how amazing the architect of this building was, before walking over to Artist Point.

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0455.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0456.jpg

Our ADR was for 5:30 and the restaurant doesn’t open until 5:30 so it was a nice feeling to have the entire restaurant to ourselves for a bit (and I do mean a BIT…this place PACKED out about 30 minutes after being there!)

The restaurant itself was very lovely and true to the Wilderness theme..

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0433.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0434.jpg

So we got seated, and were handed our menus to look over. An impressive wine list was given to us, so I chose a nice Chardonnay (8.00) and DH went with a King Estate Pinot Noir (13.00). Alas, no pics of the wine..you know what wine looks right? And the glass is either half empty or half full, your preference...I'm a half full kinda gal, just to let you know a bit more about me..

The Appetizers:

Smoky Portobello soup with roasted chitakes and chive oil ~ 9.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0435.jpg

Let me just say this…if you decide come here, and you will after reading my review by the way ;), you must get, no no, you WILL get the soup! OUTSTANDING! Seriously there is no word to describe it..so I’m forced to make one up, and I’m going to do so right now, Scrumptralascent! (Will Ferrell doing his impression of Inside the Actors Studio with James Lipton, SNL =) ). I could have had this as an entrée and dessert if I had to. It’s so creamy and satisfying! We raved so much about it in fact, the waiter came back with a printed copy of the recipe! YAY! I can try to make this at home now! DH loved his app by the way, but wished he would have gotten the soup. Haha, No soup for you! (soup nazi, seinfeld)

DH ordered the Venison Pot Stickers with tamarind ponzu ~ 11.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0436.jpg

The Entrees:

For my entrée, I decided to go with the waiters recommendation, and ordered their signature plate..

Cedar Plank Roasted King Salmon with sourdough bread dumpling, broccolini, and mulled red wine brown butter ~ 34.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0437.jpg

Delicious! The salmon was cooked so lovely and the sides were a perfect match to bring out all the flavors of the salmon! And they really do bring it to you on a plank! Whoda thunk it?

DH ordered the Grilled Buffalo Striploin with goat cheese polenta, ancho-cherry compote, baby golden beets, asparagus and dark chocolate red wine reduction ~ 45.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0439.jpg

We’ve never tried buffalo and they do recommend it cooked as medium, since this type of meat tends to dry out more. Very good! Oh, I HATE polenta! This polenta rocked the house! And if you’re worried about the reduction being too much, it really isn’t..it’s wonderful!

The Desserts :

I’ve noticed a trend from reading reviews about the Deluxe Dining Plan, that people often share a dessert between two people or just skip it completely. I will tell you right now, that this whole trip, my DH and I only shared one dessert, and that was because I was sickeningly full. Other than that, I always order a dessert every single time, and sometimes when my DH doesn’t want one, I make him order my second favorite off the menu! So that’s TWO desserts for me!!! :hyper: Oh one more thing before I go onto my dessert review: there’s not many options to choose from for desserts at Artist Point, but that only means that they make these desserts spectacularly! So keep that in mind! :thumbsup2

Double Chocolate Cheesecake with raspberry coulis, grand marnier mousse, and candied oranges ~ 10.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0440.jpg

I already knew I was going to love this because it had the word “Chocolate” in it… now add the word “Double” and I’m sold! Lol! Yummola! :lovestruc

Artist Point Cobbler with seasonal berries and black raspberry ice cream ~ 10.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0441.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0443.jpg

(wasn't sure which pic would come out better, so here's both!)

DH is a huge fan of fruity desserts and loves when I make my peach-blueberry cobbler at home, so I knew he was going to order this. This was packed out with berries! No skimpage here!

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 2 credits per person because it’s a Signature restaurant, so it’s 4 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total with 2 glasses of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and tax: $149.10

Now I think I know why not many people on the DIS talk about Artist Point…they want to keep this place a secret and SHAME ON THEM! This place was phenomenal! DH and I have already decided that we will either start or finish our vacation with Artist Point from now on just because of how splendid our meal and the service was! Hmm…maybe I shouldn’t have said anything about AP…should I also have followed in the footsteps of DIS members and taken the vow of silence for AP? No, it’s inevitable. You were bound to find out about this magnificent place. But keep it to yourself, yes? :ssst: Leshaface out!

Awesome place right??? And you know, I hardly ever get salmon when I eat at restaurants (unless it's raw at a sushi place), but the waiter said it was fantastic and it really was! I'd totally get it again!

We had a great meal there and will definitely go back. The server recommended it to me but I had already planned on ordering it. I usually check out the menus on allears before we leave for WDW. My DH had the buffalo and he really liked it!!!

Have you tried Flying Fish? It's one of our favorite 2TS locations. We try to eat there every trip.

I totally understand your love for this place. We went in 2008 (myself, hubby and two teenagers) and AP was hands down everybody's favourite meal experience (and boy we had some other great meals). The service and food was amazing.

Today was Animal Kingdom day and for some reason DH doesn’t like this park all that much. I mean he wants to spend maybe 3 hours here then bounce. But I begged for us to spend at least a whole day here so that we wouldn’t have to come back the rest of the week. So he gave me that. See, we are a very compromising couple!

The only thing he asked was that we don’t waste our credits towards food there, and that we pay OOP for a counter service. I don’t know why he didn’t want to try Tusker House or Yak & Yeti. Are these places good for lunch??? :confused3

So we decide to check out Flame Tree BBQ. We liked what we saw, the cast member said that the pork sandwich was the best thing on the menu, so we took two orders.

The Pork Sandwiches are served with baked beans (8.49) and we ordered a side of onion rings (3.79) and a coke (2.49). Wait, don’t we get 2 snacks a day per person? Duh, why didn’t I get my coke as a snack?? So DH got his sprite as a snack…man, sometimes I just don’t think! This is yet ANOTHER reoccurring situation. Lol! Our sandwiches were really good suprisingly! We expected subpar theme park food, but it was nice and hot and bbq-ey! The onion rings were outrageously good! They didn't fall apart when you took a bit into it and they weren't too greasy! A definite plus!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0494.jpg

Yup, one picture…I mean really though, how many different shots and angles can I get of a pork sandwich? With beans? So I decided to take a picture of the cup to please you folks!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0498.jpg

(Insert the ooohh’s and ahhh’s here)

Heads up…the seating area is swarming with these types of birds…

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0495.jpg

So if you’re scared of birds…oh well…you’re in the Animal Kingdom for goodness sake!

And just to show you how big these birds can stand, lookie here!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0497.jpg

Look at that those people feeding the birds! “Feed the birds, tuppance a bag, that’s what she cries..” Since you’re all Disney freaks like me, you should know where this one is from, right?

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0496.jpg

Oh and literally a few seconds after I took this shot (sorry for the crappy pic of my DH saying I Love You…no he really wasn’t saying that...in fact quite the opposite lol…look at the hatred in his eyes), that same women that was feeding the creatures, starts FREAKING out because the birds were swarming her table!

Let’s look at that pic again, shall we???

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0497.jpg

If you feed one bird, more will come! DUH!::yes::

I think after this recession is dunzo, Disney should hire cast members to just walk around the picnic areas scolding guests that feed the animals! What do you think?? I know such a bad idea, but those “Don’t feed the animals” signs aren’t doing much…drastic measures must be taken…

So I’m sorry for this short and rather dull update…it’s a counter service you know what I’m saying? So the total here with 2 pork sandwiches, 1 soda, and 1 side of onion rings comes out to 24.78 with tax. Not too shabby right?

I totally agree with your idea of having CM scolding the bird-feeding guests! It really does affect everyone when they do that. Not to mention that when birds (or any other animal) eat people food, it affects their "droppings", which we as guests have to see!!

So, some simple math: no people food+normal bird veggie food=normal (and less frequent) droppings for guests; people food+normal bird food=bird diarreah with agressive behavior!

If I lived closer to Kissimmee, I might volunteer for that job!

On my last 2 trips to WDW there has been CM's walking around the tables at Flame Tree handing out the cards that say "don't feed the birds" but I don't think people seem to care.... It makes me CRAZY when I tell my kids they can't do it because its the rules and its not good for the birds then they have to sit and what other poeples kids just doing whatever they choose and feeding them anyway.

We just LOVE Flame Tree BBQ and can't wait to eat there again in April:)

I don't mind birds, but the birds that wandered around when we were eating were ugly...... and big who would want to feed them and get them any closer.

I agree with you on telling the kids, I am forever telling them they can't do stuff and then see others doing the exact same thing I told them they couldn't do.

So after our lovely lunch with our fine, feathered friends, we headed back to our resort, CSR to freshen up, then took off to DHS for dinner at the Hollywood Brown Derby!

Yay! I always get super excited about new restaurants!....and I’m still excited! (Chris Farley, SNL) Okay, anyways so our ADR is for 5:35 and we get there a little early, so DH checks us in, while I take some pics!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0691.jpg

So we get seated about 5 mins later and we’re taken up to our table which is on the elevated level of the restaurant. Pretty cool view..

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0694.jpg

Okay these drinks are definitely picture worthy!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0692.jpg

The glowing one was their drink of the day called a Hollywood Star or a Falling Star or Drunk Star(10.25)…something like that. All I remember was that it had vodka…sorry people, but all you really need to know is that it glows and it contains vodka! YIPPEE! :cool1: And the beer is DEFINITELY picture worthy because it’s a Yuengling! (6.00 @ 2 = 12.00) YUENGLING!....here it comes…SCRUMPTRALASCENT! Now, we’re from the West Coast and this is only sold on the East Coast, so this is a delicacy to us…a delicacy which must be consumed, over and over and over and over…which did happen on our magnificent trip!

Oh, here’s me, showcasing my beverage!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0693.jpg

Like my shirt!?? It's an Ewok! :ewok:

Check out that guy in the blue back there…totally jealous of my glowing alcohol…he’s thinking “what will the waitress think of me if I ask for the glowing fruity drink?” Welp my friend, you’re just gonna have to sit back there and stare at its marvelousness(def. not a word right?)

Trying to take a pic of the big booths, but got another action shot of DH…here he’s saying, “Don’t look now, but check out that guy in the blue back there…totally eyeing your drink dude!”

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0695.jpg

Enough talky. Talky, talky, talky..no more talky. (Adam Sandler, Billy Madison). On to the food!

The Appetizers:

I ordered the famous Brown Derby Cobb Salad for one with finely chopped greens, turkey breast, egg, bacon, tomatoes, crumbled bleu cheese, avocado, chives, and cobb dressing ~ 8.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0696.jpg

I have a cobb salad for lunch about once a week so I’m very familiar with cobb salads. You know how some salads are…every bite is different..it’s like this…bite..yum just tasted some avocado..2nd bite…yum just tasted some egg and bacon…3rd bite..lettuce only gosh DANGIT! Right? Pretty much every bite is very inconsistent…well not the Brown Derby Cobb! With every bite you take, every munch you make, you’ll be tasting it all! Everything is chopped down finely and evenly so that when you mix it all together it looks…like not really a salad at all…more like a regurgitated salad..you know the kind…after a long night of drinking….nevermind. I LOVED IT! :lovestruc

DH had the Blue Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with potato crust, green cabbage slaw, Dijon mustard, and remoulade sauces ~ 12.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0698.jpg

Very interesting with the potato crust, but overall a great App! Sorry about the blurriness…that Drunk Star must be kicking in right about now…:drinking1

The Entrees:

Hijiki Crusted Ahi Tuna Cobb seared rare with mizuna, palm sugar cucumbers, pickled diakon, flavored soy and wasabi sauces ~ 32.00

DH and I, for once in our lifetime, ordered the same entrée!!!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0699.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0700.jpg

This dish was ri-dic! (ri-dic = ridiculous = insanely good) And the portion was huge! We each got about 6 slices of the tuna! Omgosh…the sauces were insane! The wasabi sauce has no heat to it at all, which is really weird, so it’s very edible for those that don’t like hot sauces, and the soy was really sweet to balance out the wasabi. A perfect 10 dish! And the presentation is beautiful! Look at all those colors!

The Desserts:

Grapefruit Cake – light layers of yellow cake with fresh grapefruit cream cheese icing ~ 7.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0701.jpg

As you can tell I got too excited…so yup there’s a bite taken out of it, sorry! I couldn’t resist you guys! I told you I heart desserts! I have heard many a good things about the cake on the DIS, which is why I went with it! And boy is it good! I was expecting tangy because of the grapefruit, but it was really nice and somewhat sweet…aww look at my poor Drunk Moon over there...so sad…I’m letting the ice melt because it’s like a second drink! (Pam, The Office).

Banana White Chocolate Toffee Tower on cocoa almond cookie and bananas foster ~ 9.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0702.jpg

And no, a bite was not taken out of the almond cookie…it’s supposed to be like that.

DH will take anything with the White Chocolate in it! This is really good guys! Really! If I had to choose between the two, I would get both.

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 2 credits per person because it’s a Signature restaurant, so it’s 4 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total with 3 alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and tax: $130.20

Final Thoughts (Jerry Springer) p.s…I don’t watch him, promise!...I thought the Hollywood Brown Derby was terrific! The environment was relaxing ...especially after having to deal with all those Brazilian Tour groups walking around DHS…you know the ones with the flags and the cheering thinking they own the entire walkway. A plus side to this restaurant is that they do offer the Fantasmic! Dining Package. :smickey:

That’s a wrap people! :cool1:

Brown Derby looks great. Looking forward to trying the Cobb Salad in June.

I had to laugh at your take on Yeungling. My grandparents lived about 20 minutes from Pottsville, PA where the beer is brewed. It was the beer of choice for local coal miners and farmers, and only available in a small area of the mountains of southeast PA. With the microbrew crazy Yeungling started to travel around the country and is just now available in Nashville. Funny how a product can remain very local for a long period of time and then start getting larger distribution and becoming loved by people all over the country.

Waiting for your next reviews :)

Love your mathematics equation! Were you a math major cuz that equals out perfectly! :rotfl2:

You flatter me! No, I came up w/that b/c our three kids are our pets, and especially with the dogs, we're careful with what food we buy them and how many/what kind of people food we give them b/c it affects what we will have to smell and pick up outside! Or worse with the kitty, scoop up!

However, I must vainly admit I was pretty impressed with that cute equation myself. I honestly just think it's common sense (in regards to feeding the birds), and I consider myself to have little common sense, so when others don't follow my "common sense", I get very annoyed/snooty/sarcastic. Ask my co-workers. ;-)

On a serious note, I really enjoy your reviews! Hubby and I are doing the DxDDP this December and are close to your "demographics" (well, I am, hubby is 11 years older!), so I think your reviews are a good "case study".

Brown Debry currently isn't one of our ADR's for our August trip but we may have to change that if he can't get Yeungling any where else. We were in the World Dec 2009 (so a couple months ago) and my favorite time of year is Jan/early Feb. It seems like forever, but before you know it, it'll be here. Until then, I live vicariously through other people's food reports and TR's ;)

In 2012 I will actually take pics of my food. I kept forgetting and only got shots at Yak & Yeti (which came out blurry) and one pic at Kona (which my oldest DD took). I did take a crystal clear pic of my Frozen Cosmo in France though...got to have priorities and take fabulous pics of the alcohol :lmao:

Funny thing with that particular pic...as soon as I took it, I dripped it all down the front of my brand new Epcot sweatshirt. That's when my DH said, "Disney alcohol taking its effect already?" I was like, "Uh...nope, its the first one of the day." He was like, "Overly excited?". My response, "Yep, always excited over the adult Disney drinks."

After that convo...I was realizing that Disney is not stingy withe their alcohol content because by Canada I had a HUGE grin on my face...that is, unless I am seriously turning into a lightweight. :lmao:

Ciao Bella/Bello!

So this was our first meal EVER at the Magic Kingdom!!! And I was ECSASTIC! We spend LOTS of time here so why not freaking eat here, right???

So after exploring the park for a few hours, we arrived at Tony’s about 5 mins before our ADR time at 12:20pm, checked in and seated us right away! YAY! :cool1:

Here’s the Lobby…sorry literally no time for other pics!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1040.jpg

I love, love, LOVE Lady and the Tramp! Anyone hear the song Lady by Kenny Rogers? Heart it! So this restaurant was right up my alley! Not much going on as far as décor, but there are pictures around the place of scenes from Lady and the Tramp which was really cute! Oh and there is a fountain featuring the leading lady and her man in the middle of the restaurant, but alas no pic of that!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1046.jpg

This seriously CANNOT be my only pic of the restaurant!!!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1047.jpg

Wow you guys :sad2: …I’m so ashamed of myself!!! Total let down…Lol!

OH and I must apologize in advance for the crappy pictures on this meal! I only had my little point and shoot with me for some reason! This is definitely amateur food porn I’m afraid! :scared1:

The Appetizers:

I had the Calamari – tossed with Olive Relish and served with a side of marinara sauce ~9.99

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1041.jpg

It was super tasty! I’ve had some crappy cal before, but this was great! Not too greasy!

DH had the Butternut Squash Soup ~ 5.49

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1042.jpg

What the frick!? (Chris Kattan as Mango, SNL) Disney chefs have got all the soups down!!! This was sooo good!!! Doesn’t look like much, but goodness gracious! Now, I’m not saying it’s better then Artist Points Portobello Mushroom Soup by any means, but this soup is really good! Our waiter said it was a seasonal soup, so it may not be there by the time you go and try it, but definitely ask!

By the way, our waiter was AH-MAZING! Never once did we ask for anything! He was on us like white on rice! We would not even be halfway done with our sodas (2.69 @ 2) when he would bring us our refill and he did this three times! He was awesome! Snaps to him!

The Entrees:

Pretty much any Italian restaurant I go to , I ALWAYS get Spaghetti and Meatballs…and Tony’s was no exception! I don’t know why I do that! Lol! DH HATES when I order that! But I know what I like so BACK OFF!
Spaghetti with choice of meatballs or sweet Italian sausage in marinara sauce ~ 16.99

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1043.jpg

Really no one can ruin S&M for me (LOL! Omgosh I don’t mean S&M like the kinky S&M, but Spaghetti and Meatballs! Get your mind of the gutter…that’s right, I’m talking to YOU!) LOL!...ah, anyways….

DH ordered the Eggplant Catasta (Stack) – layers of eggplant, caramelized onions, fresh mozzarella, and parmesan with marinara sauce over penne pasta ~ 15.99

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1044.jpg

Doesn’t look like much, but it’s great! We both are huge fans of eggplant and DH likes Penne pasta so this was a match made in heaven! Oh see the bread on the plate… DON’T EAT IT! Unless you want to chip a tooth then go right ahead…its super dry! Gnarly! But really, with the pasta dishes do we really need all these carbs!?! Ugh, someone stop me! The health lady is coming out to play! :lmao:

The Desserts:

I’m a Crème Brulee freak, so naturally I went with it! Pistachio Crème Brulee sereved with strawberries~ 5.99

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1045.jpg

Why was this the best CB I’ve had the entire trip??? I mean this thing was gone within seconds of taking this pic! I swear! DH was like, WTH where did it all go!? Lol! No crème brulee for you!

DH wasn’t too hungry so he ordered the Gelato – Italian style icecream, chocolate or vanilla ~ 4.49

No pic, because it’s literally ice cream…well actually you can see it in my horrific “seating” pic…here I’ll repost it again! Haha!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/100_1047.jpg

Ha and you can see DH’s refill! :rotfl2:

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 1 credit per person because it’s a Table service restaurant, so it’s 2 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total with 2 non-alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and tax: $68.51

Overall, I was pleased with this place! I would say the census for Tony's on the DIS is really about 50%. I’m always either reading how disgusto this place is or how yummy it is!

Will my next trip have Tony’s on my ADR list? Probably not…but remember this was my first restaurant in the MK, and I’m an explorer! I want to see what else MK has to offer. So this doesn’t mean I’m scratching Tony’s off my list!

Buona sera! (Goodbye)…oh and no I don’t speak Italian…let's all give a big round of applause for my partner, wikihow.com, on helping me today with the two phrases of Italian for my review! :woohoo: :yay: :rotfl:

Your reviews are fantastic. I work with a guy who also speaks in movie quotes. His favorites are from any Adam Sandler movies or Wedding Crashers.
Btw, we live about 20 minutes from the original Yuengling brewery. When we took my dad to WDW in 2006 many of the CMs were surprised that he could pronounce "Yuengling" correctly. He loves their lager.

1.) We ate at Tony's in 2005 and it was terrific. There was no one in there when we went at lunch either :confused3 I am not sure why its a 50/50 split when it comes to who loves it and who doesn't, but I am in the top 50 (the ones who like it LOL). Glad you guys had a wonderful experience.

2.) Creme Brulee....ohhh, a girl after my own heart. Love creme brulee. Can't get enough of it.

Thanks for showing all the cuteness that is the interior of Tony's! We didn't eat table service at MK because nothing really stood out as superior food based on DIS reviews, but the cute decor (and my love of Lady and the Tramp) might make it worthwhile. How badly can you screw up spaghetti anyways? :upsidedow (and it sure looked yummy in your picture!)

I would love to plan another trip to WDW after this trip to WDW - but it's a long way from Scarborough doncha know!:lmao: Anyway, as the children are getting older this may be the last trip for a while - mind you...we said that about the last trip...and the one before that....

Mmmmm... creme brulee, if it's on the menu I'm ordering it! I was a little worried about a pistachio flavor, but I think you sold me on it being your favorite of the trip. Keep the desserts coming! (oh, and the food too)

Oh the pistachio is so wonderful! You'll totally love it!

Looking forward to reading the rest of your reviews!

No way!! Too cool for school! How far is it from York Pa? We go to York every summer!

For some reason I remember white table cloths on all the tables at Tony's...though I really think I prefer it without them!

yup have no idea...it was nice though not having to fuss with a table cloth now that you mention it!

Another awesome installment, chickie :cool1:

1.) We ate at Tony's in 2005 and it was terrific. There was no one in there when we went at lunch either :confused3 I am not sure why its a 50/50 split when it comes to who loves it and who doesn't, but I am in the top 50 (the ones who like it LOL). Glad you guys had a wonderful experience.

2.) Creme Brulee....ohhh, a girl after my own heart. Love creme brulee. Can't get enough of it.

Can't wait for Narcoossee's!!! popcorn::

Yeah really strange, right? But I was cool with it..no complaints here!

Literally, Creme Brulee is my all-time FAV dessert!! In fact, a have the dishes and the torch at home to make it!! :rotfl: Cuz i'm hardcore like that!

thanks for your tony's review. doesn't sound too spectacular to us (we'll be paying OOP.) now, Brown Derby is sounding better all the time (for when we're on the DDP).

thanks again!

No problemo!!! Glad to help in anyway!!

There is no way in heck, ANYONE can mess up spaghetti...right??? :lmao:

Loving your update. I like Tony's I find it rather quaint to eat in :) Yummy looking Creme Brulee and Strawberries :)

That's a good word for it...quaint..! :thumbsup2

Another great review - especially the S&M :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I totally didn't mean to do that though! Just trying to shorten my typing down, and it came out like that!

Great reviews so far. :)

Can't wait to read more.

Gracias!!! I'll keep them coming!

Great reviews!!! Can't wait for more. We are trying Tonys for the first time after all of our trips!!!:goodvibes

Ooo well enjoy and have fun!!

Well now, isnt this speacial! (Church Lady)

Loved the Tony's review, makes me regret dropping it for a dinner at 1900 P.F. Instead, but we wanted to try Tutto and not overdo the Italian! Will have to put in on the list for next time!

Have never been to 1900 but here it's pretty good!! Hope you enjoy it! But yes, definitely next time!!

I've never been to Tony's - but it looked really nice!:)

Was it empty apart from you two reprobates?:rotfl: Or did you scare everyone off?

After an eventful day at MK, we went back to CSR to change and headed off to the Grand Floridian for our ADR at 6:55!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0754.jpg

Ok, so why is the Grand Floridian so dang beautiful? I mean…come on! Check out this place!

Gorg right???

Narcoossee’s is located in a separate building from the main lobby out in the back near the lake.

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0780.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0784.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0757.jpg

I was STOKED on eating here! On every TR I’ve read, people have LOVED Narcoossee’s! I was so ready to eat! So let’s get on with it, shall we?!

Oh here's my view:

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0770.jpg

The Contemporary Resort...another beautiful resort

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0765.jpg

The castle!

The Appetizers:

So did I ever tell you guys that I LOVE cheese! Like, love cheese!! For a long time I would order cheese from a factory in Yorkshire because it tasted so dang wonderful…WENSLEYDALE! DROOLING!! Whenever I make tacos or burritos at home, I always shred EXTRA cheese for me! I usually end up eating close to half a block by the time I’m done! Eeekk, right?? Lol! Honestly, the stinkier the cheese, the better! I love strong and pungent cheeses! And I had not ordered a cheese plate as of yet, so what better time then now right??

Artisan Cheeses – Humboldt fog, Cashel Irish Blue, and Tete De Moine ~15.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0758.jpg

The accompaniments were so right on! Oh my gosh, I’d pretty much do anything to have that cheese plate in front of me right now… Seriously, if you’re a cheese lover, you’ll love this plate! Just to let you know, the strongest one is the one on the right…BOMB Diggity!

DH had the Prince Edward Island Mussels – parsley patis broth and sourdough toast ~ 16.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0759.jpg

I used to get mussels all the time, then my love for them somewhat faded, because every batch I’d get was never good…so I was hesitant on trying them but they were terrific! The broth they were in was so delicious! And there was a whole heap of mussels so 16 bucks is pretty good I think!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0760.jpg

Haha DH looks very uncomfortable….loosen up will ya??

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0761.jpg

Much better doll face!

Do you see the drinks? That’s right….Yuengling baby!(3@5.75)

The Entrees:

So DH and I ordered the same thing again!! WTFreak is going on??! Twice in one trip we order the same thing!! Craziness is officially occurring! So what did we order??

Surf and Turf – twin medallions of filet mignon, butter poached rock lobster tail, potato gratin, broccolini, and choron sauce ~ 2 @ 59.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0766.jpg

So the Turf portion was delectable!! Cooked medium, just the way I like it! I don’t usually like any type of sauce on my steak, but this sauce was psycho good! I was definitely Miss Piggy tonight!

The Surf portion was….hmmm…not what a lobster tail should taste like at all! So disappointed! It was rubbery, dry, tough and not buttery tasting at all like how it should taste! Haha have you ever seen National Lampoons Christmas?? When they are eating the disgusting turkey and all you hear is them trying to chew the dang stuff??? :rotfl: Bingo! That was our ‘turkey’ right there and hubbo agreed with me….

We found out later that the dish to get here is the Whole Maine Lobster dish and not the Surf N Turf...oh well! Next time right??!!

But wanna see what made up for my Surf???

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0767.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0768.jpg

(A little blurry, but you get the idea!)

EEKKKK IT’S WISHES BABY!

So if you show up around the time that Wishes starts (which was 8pm for us), you can either go stand outside on their patio or watch it from your table! They do dim the lights though so seeing is a problem! It was amazing!

So after our glorious show, it was time for desserts! DESSERTS!!! (Lilo, Lilo and Stitch)

The Desserts:
For me – Almond Crusted Cheesecake with wild berry sauce ~ 8.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0771.jpg

YUMMO!!! Again…SCRUMPTRALASCENT! And the fresh whipped topping was soooo good! Didn’t try that chocolate pyramid but I’m sure you can eat it…
DH – Ozark Apple-Pecan cake – Vanilla bean whipped cream, caramelized apples, and poached cranberries ~ 7.00

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0772.jpg

Our waiter suggested it to DH since nothing was appetizing to him…then I offered to “pick out something for him” LOL! And he said hell to the no I’ll find something!! :lmao: So he went with the waiters suggestion and it was delightful!

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 2 credits per person because it’s a Signature restaurant, so it’s 4 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total with 3 alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and tax: $193.04

So what did we learn here today my fine friends?
1) Just say no to the Surf and Turf! Yes, it’s the same price as the Steamed Whole Maine Lobster and you don’t get filet mignon with it, but seriously, you’ll thank me!
2) Do try to get an ADR around 530-8 (depending on what time Wishes starts)…just adds so much more to your meal!
3) Cheese, Gromit!!! (Wallace and Gromit) Never heard of them?? Check them out! Too cute!

Will we be back? YES! How else am I gonna try the Whole Maine Lobster?? I’m not gonna allow the gnarly lobster tail to make this restaurant a no-no for me! This restaurant is too magnificent to cross of our list of regulars…”I just can’t do it Captain!! I don’t have the power!” (Jim Carrey, Ace Ventura when nature calls)

Till next time, peace out peeps! :hippie:

Yay for Wallace and Gromit we just had a marathon session over Christmas.

I am with you on the cheese, I had some stinky cheese stinking out my fridge out so I ate it. Fridge doesn't stink anymore, I am a bit whiffy  Very naughty as it was on the banned pregnancy list...... ah well it hasn't stopped me eating anything so far. Millions of French people can't be wrong I say.

Now my concern for a whole lobster would be if they can feck up a tail whats to say they won't feck up my whole lobster and when I have ordered that I don't even have the nice meat eat as a replacement.

Not everyone has an obsession with cheese like you do, couldn't you have ordered something else for the sake of your viewing audience? By the way I am just messing with you and I enjoy your reviews. I am saddened about the surf and turf though.

Hiya Bobble!!! Seriously I wanted to love it soooo bad, but I can't lie to you guys! The filet was awesome but that lobster tail killed it!! I know total shocker!!!

DH wanted the Cheese plate also, so I was like, "Um, nope you're not getting that cuz i'm doing reviews on the DIS and I'm sure someone will not be pleased by this!!!" :rotfl2:

But really though Narcoossee's it teriffic! You're gonna totally dig it!!

Great review of Narcoossee's :)

Aww thank you!! :thumbsup2

Ooo speaking of Cheesecake factory, have you ever tried their White chocolate Caramel Macademia Nut cheesecake?? If cheesecake couldn't get any fattier, they HAD to combine all three of these scrumptious ingredients to create a product such as this! :lmao: INSANELY GOOD!

Holy H-E-double hockey sticks (keepin' it G-rated for the folks at home), YES!!! That is one freak-awesome piece of cheesecake girl. Why is it when I go to the Cheesecake Factory I can never eat dessert? Well, the silver lining is that I get it the next day :rotfl: (BTW--got the strawberry cheesecake with the strawberry compote on the side so it won't get soggy...yes, having a total When Harry Met Sally moment LMFAO...on the side...:happytv: ) **Yes, I am a movie-quoter too** :rotfl2:

You have me really excited about the Brown Derby. We'll be trying there for the first time in a few weeks!

I'm so glad you went to Tony's. We always eat there every trip. I know it gets a lot of mixed reviews here on the DIS.

LOVE your GF lobby shots! It is a beautiful Resort. :cloud9:

When I do my pics I use the bulk uploader, I have done a few hundred at a time, takes about 15 minutes but it is much easier than doing just a few here and there

How do you pronounce this place anyway? It’s like on Family Guy….”How do you say it??? Kim Basinger, Bay-singer…Ba-sin-gggrrr!” Lol! Have no idea, but we all know what we’re referring to when we say Le Cellier…yes that restaurant located in Canada that’s all the controversy on the boards right now and has been for a LONG TIME!! :lmao:

Lets start off with some pics of the gorgeous country!

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0844.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0846.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/leshaface/IMG_0869.jpg

Oh here’s me loving up on the telephone booth!

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0856.jpg

And DH talking on the phone…it’s the creeper from Hollywood Brown Derby……he wasn’t checking out my drink!.......What’s that DH???...he was checking you out???!!! :rotfl2:

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0859.jpg

We were lucky enough to score a lunch here on a Saturday at 11:45am! Yes!!! :yay:

Not much to the place, but I still dig it!

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0872.jpg

Our waiter was Bradley and he was teriffic! Talked about what kind of beers we liked, explained our love of Yuengling while he talked about our “West Coast” brew, which is Sierra Nevada by the way. He said we should try the Moosehead Ale so we took two (2@4.75)

So if you’re at all familiar with the Dining boards, you’ll know exactly what to order without glancing at a menu…am I right people??

-Cheddar Cheese soup
-Mushroom Filet mignon
-The “Moose” or Crème Brulee

So lets see how me and the old guy did!

The Appetizers:
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup – made with Moosehead beer and bacon (2 @ 6.99)

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0873.jpg

Okay…so far 1 for 3…

Okay, HELLO, what have I been saying about the soups at Disney??? They NAILED this one! Good lawd that’s yummy!!! Hey see those breadsticks?? Go ahead and dip it…I dare you!!

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0874.jpg

DISer’s were right on with this App! Every single person has suggested the soup, and not once have I read a review with anything other than the cheddar soup! I vote for the Soup ya’ll!

The Entrees:

Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon – with wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb butter sauce ~ (2 @ 25.99)

2 outta 3!!! :woohoo:

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0875.jpg

Yes, I know it’s only 12:30 and I’m having Filet Mignon for lunch, but I don’t give a rats behind what time it is! I’m hungry and this is supposed to be THE dish here….so…that’s that! :snooty:

Delish folks! Huge fan of risotto right here and that sauce is perfection with the filet! You can’t really tell from the angle of the picture, but it was one fat filet, and it was wonderfully juicy! DH devoured his filet in no time! UGH, can someone please let me come with them to Le Cellier if you’re going anytime soon??? I won’t talk, I’ll just eat quietly with a few “mmmm’s and sighs” during my eat fest…

The Desserts:

Let’s see what we got…I’m gonna keep you in suspense…no really I do cuz I’m waiting for my stupid pics to upload…(Cue Jeopardy music)…hold on have you ever seen the Jeopardy on SNL with Will Farrell as the host and Jimmy Fallon as French Stuart…”Pick any number, any number at all, how bout a 1 a 2, or maybe a 3, I know you can do this…let’s go to French Stuart, who’s grinning over here like an idiot. And you’ve answered…threeve…a combination of three and five…and you wagered…Texas with a dollar sign…I’m speechless..” :rotfl:

Alright my pic is uploaded!!

3/3 EVERYONE!!!! :dance3:

Maple Crème Brulee ~ 6.99

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0877.jpg

Yeah, one stinking dessert! But that steak was just so filling there was no way we were gonna finish two desserts! And it was very hard folks…between the marvelous “moose” and the beloved brulee, but brulee wins me over everytime!

Not much too this dish, but it was great…a little too maple-y I think, but if you’re a fan of maple, you’ll adore this dish! But that doesn’t mean it deterred me from eating the whole thing! :lmao:

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 1 credit per person because it’s a Table Service restaurant, so it’s 2 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total with 2 alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 desserts, and tax: $87.81

So the controversy over this place is, what now? Is it the price of the meal? Or the steak being overrated? I’m not sure and I honestly don’t care. For us, we enjoyed the place, the service, the food, and the company, and we WILL be making ADR’s for Le Cellier on our next trip. I did not encounter one bad thing with this place, and still have no idea why this restaurant gets low blows, but I loved it!

So ultimately, your palate and your wallet is the determining factor, which means you should check this place out and decide for yourself! I’m all for Le Cellier!!!

To keep you entertained till next time, here’s the dancing fool for ya!
:dancer:

Nice review of Le Cellier. Here's my take on the restaurant, it's good. I've never had a bad meal there, but there are plenty of other places that I like better than Le Cellier, so I don't understand it's popularity and refuse to get up early to snag an ADR. So there :snooty:

With our trip being in May, I still have time to change a few of our ADRs around if something sounds too good to pass up! With so many options though, I can't decide yet! Breakfast is by far the hardest decision for me, as I want to try them all (and also need to sleep at least a little on the trip, so getting up early and riding the shuttle to all the various locations may not happen)! We're staying at Boardwalk, and I feel certain we'll be branching out...Kona Perhaps! 1900 PF is my top pick as of now, however.

We have an ADR for Narcossee's in June, so thanks for the head's up on the Surf n Turf! What a let down! I would've definitely ordered that as well, so now I'll have to convince DH to get the Maine lobster and I'll get the filet!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your reviews!!! You have a terrific sense of humor, and I love the movie quotes...and by the way, I'm also a HUGE fan of "Family Guy"...that Kim Basinger quote totally cracked me up! :lmao: Then, since you're writing all these great and funny dining reviews of these wonderful TS restaurants, I started to remember the "Family Guy" episode with Jennifer Love Hewitt...you know, the one where Peter Griffin was at the restaurant with her, went to use the restroom and didn't wash his hands, then proceeded to touch ALL of the bread in the basket..."Ooh, these look good...every one!" :rotfl:

But seriously, I am looking forward to reading the rest of your reviews! We're going to Le Cellier for the first time in July, but for dinner. But, I know myself and at a steakhouse I always get filet mignon! So I was glad to see your review about it! Keep those great entertaining reviews coming!

we have eaten at Narcosse's twice. both times I ordered the whole maine lobster..yummy! (although the 2nd time I was half through and noticed that the drwn butter did not have a sterno under it, so it got kinda cold)
the 1st time we were on the free dining plan, the second time we purchased it, and yes, the whole lobster was included on both !

we also love LeCellier.. love the soup and the breadsticks!!! I was tempted to order the veal T-bone, but numerous questions on this board about it went unanswered, so I stayed with the tried and true. (they used to have a very good bbq filet, but it went by the wayside)

I love that you took the time to compute the OOP cost.. how thoughtful of you!!!!

Yuuuummmmyyy! Love both reviews, especially since both restaurants are MUST-DO's on our trip in December!

What a bummer about the lobster tail! I think that is just a SIN to ruin lobster, especially on a surf & turf plate. But, now I know to definately stick to the whole lobster in December! Since hubby wil probably be getting a steak and we always share, I can still do the surf & turf, but in a "safer" way.

Okay, so where is the Flying Fish review?????? I'm waiting!!!!

agree. I heard so many good things about the Tonga toast. we never wanted to "waste" a TS credit on breakfast.
rethinking, or maybe OOP.

I've made Tonga Toast at home from the recipe on allears.net but never had it at the Polynesian Resort. We may have to pay a visit either to Kona for breakfast (already going there for dinner one night!) or Captain Cook's! But making it at home is awesome! Of course, I can't compare it to the one at Disney because I never ate it there.

Great job once again, chickie!!!! Can't wait for Flying Fish!!! WOOT!!! Fabulous reviews. Your review "style" reminds me of MickeyNicki. Same sense of humor and TOTALLY entertaining. Can't wait for more.:goodvibes

THANK YOU!!! MickeyNicki and I should hang out sometime for sure! lol!

Great reviews!:thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about the Flying Fish. We loved it and we're going back this year.

Ohhh! I'm hungry!

Haha!! I'm always hungry!! Flying Fish coming right now!

OMGOSH!!! I DIE everytime I see that part!!! My brother and I do that whenever we go to a restaurant where they serve rolls...well we pretend to do it, not really do it, and everyone at the tables like, wth?? LOL! That means you'll get my next quote for Flying Fish!

But seriously, I am looking forward to reading the rest of your reviews! We're going to Le Cellier for the first time in July, but for dinner. But, I know myself and at a steakhouse I always get filet mignon! So I was glad to see your review about it! Keep those great entertaining reviews coming!

Great report. Can't wait to hear more.popcorn:::goodvibes

More coming up for ya!

Awesome review. I'm so glad to read your food reviews and enjoying it. Can't wait to read more popcorn::. We never tried Artist Point and loved your review.

So glad you're enjoying it!!

This is making me hungry. I'm going to have to read the rest!

This restaurant has grown increasingly popular lately I’ve noticed! And now I know why…

Wait…Have you guys not heard???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WNrx2jq184

LOL!! Sorry guys but I deemed it necessary!! :rotfl:

(How do you post videos on here?)

So Flying Fish is located at the Boardwalk, which is quite lovely at night..

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0929.jpg

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0960.jpg

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0940.jpg

Again, too excited! This would be another Signature we can scratch off our list!! :yay:

So our ADR was set for 6:55 we get there right at 7pm and seat us immediately!

This place is too cool guys! They have a kitchen bar seating area, where you can look into the kitchen and see how the cooks work…and lemme tell you…they cook fast and in no way do they show that they are stressed! It’s amazing to me that they work under such pressure, yet never show it! Crazy!

Here is my view:

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0945.jpg

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0948.jpg

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0947.jpg

Isn’t that ceiling ah-mazing???

Drinks??? How bout some…Coors Light?? BAHAHA YA RIGHT! :rotfl: Yuengling please!!! (3@6.00)

Foodie time!!!

The Appetizers:

So this is where my guilt sets in…on this very meal…I felt like I was over-doing it on every single appetizer! So I decided to go with something “less fatty” and go for:
Salad of local Vero Beach Arugula and Watercress with candied walnuts, Asian pears, Gorgonzola dolce and artisanal walnut oil vinagrette ~ 12.00

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0949.jpg

I was SOOO happy with my choice! Yes, there are some FABO app choices on this menu, but I had to do it guys! Sometimes the guilt is just too strong, I can’t handle it! But seriously this salad was BOMB! Even DH was surprised! It was presented in this awesome looking bowl, which I’m SURE made it taste even better, right? Lol!

DH ordered the Signature Flying Fish Cafe "Crispy Maine Coast Jonah Crab Cake" - savory vegetable slaw, roasted red pepper coulis, ancho chili remoulade ~16.00

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0950.jpg

HEAVENLY!!! So here’s what you do: take a bite of the crab cake, then look at the ceiling, and close your eyes…that’s the purpose of the ceiling folks right there…total euphoria encompasses you with each bite! Masters of the Crab Cake are located here, at the Flying Fish folks! No need to look elsewhere!

The Entrees:

DH and I both ordered the Chef's Special Thunder: Surf and Surf - Oak grilled and pesto glazed local "orange" swordfish - Belize laughing bird shrimp, basil, tomato, black garlic, fennel and winter squash-laced Fegola Sarda Pasta ~ (37.00 @ 2)

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0951.jpg

Sometimes I don’t get their descriptions of the dish..”laughing bird shrimp???” This dish is no laughing matter…this is one serious dish…I could have had seconds on this dish! This was another “lean your head back and stare at the ceiling while you chew” moment! Why is the food fantastic? Because some of the food they use here is grown over in Epcot! At least, that’s what our waiter said, and why not believe him! Brings more to your food knowing that it was grown here in Disney World right?!

The Desserts:

Lesha orders the White Chocolate Crème brulee with berries ~ 8.00

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0952.jpg

Simple is best people, and this was a delight! I love fresh fruit, I love Crème Brulee, I love Chocolate, I LOVE my dessert!!

DH gets the Gingersnap Fall Crop Apple and Pecan Tart - cinnamon ice cream and salted caramel ~ 8.00

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0953.jpg

Wow…kinda wished I ordered this…DEFINITELY NOT saying my dessert was bad in any way, but this was the meaning of living! Lol! The cinnamon ice cream was so good! Not spicy, like how I imagined it would be, but it had such a subtle taste to it, that it really made the dish!

Oh, after dinner we walked around the boardwalk for a bit and headed over to Yacht Club where we got these taken with a Photopass Photographer:

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/Image0047.jpg

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/Image0049.jpg

Aren't we adorable!!! Sorry folks, we've already been adopted!! :rotfl:

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 2 credits per person because it’s a Signature restaurant, so it’s 4 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total with 3 alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and tax: $144.16

I Heart Flying Fish guys! Really I do! The cooks here know what they’re doing, and they do it well! You’ve GOT to come here! Their menu is amazing and has lots of options, you will not be disappointed! Oh, one little tip: the bathrooms here are next door in their little candy shop, so you have to go through this metallic looking door near the podium…BE CAREFUL WHEN OPENING THE DOOR!!! DH hit a woman coming back from the bathrooms, and I got hit going to the bathroom! They should just prop the door open, but I guess their trying to keep the two environments separate??? Don’t know…anyways if you’re looking for some great seafood, look no more! Flying Fish has got you covered!

BREAKFAST!!!!! I’ve literally been waiting since Kona Café for another breakfast meal!!! I LOVE BREAKFAST!!! Plus this was our first Character Breakfast ever!!! So I was entirely too happy to be waking up at 6am for our ADR at 730 over at the Beach Club resort!!!

So I call down to the front desk and ask what the best way to get over to the Beach Club is. She tells me to take the bus to DHS, then from there, take the boat over to the Boardwalk. I’m thinking okay, we should leave our room no later then 645 to wait for the bus. We arrive at the bus stop at 645…25 mins later a bus for DHS finally arrives!!! Wow we’re gonna be cutting close. We get to DHS at around 725 and now we gotta bust our butts over to the loading dock…on our way over there a family that was leaving the dock area asks us if we we’re going to try to take the boat over to the Boardwalk area. We say yes, then they said that one of the cast members told them the boats don’t run until 8am!!! :scared1: :headache: WTH!? By this time it’s past 730 and we’re stranded. I mean , yeah, we could walk, but it will take us at least 15-20 mins to walk all the way over to the Beach Club!!!

That same family also had an ADR at Cape May, and one of the CM’s saw us running around like psycho’s trying to figure out what to do next. She came over asked what the issue was, not even 2 minutes later, she has a direct bus for us to take over to the Beach Club and to not worry about our ADR’s!!!! SCORE!!! :worship:

TIP #201: BOATS RUN ONLY PAST 8AM!!! Hopefully this will save you all lots of time and energy knowing this!

So after a crazy morning, we get to the Beach Club! No pics of the outside cuz we’re hauling butt to Cape May…I’m hungry after all!! We apologize for showing up late, and no worries from them at all! :worship:

Lets get on with the festivities!!!

So we get seated and we get a fantastic waitress named Sui Chun….you think I’m adorable, check her out! :rotfl2: She was always there for a refill, asking different questions about our vacation, where we’re from, etc. So freakin cute! Anyways, she explained that the Characters all make there rounds to each table so to be keeping an eye out for them and to not get up to get food if you see them close by. We did exactly as she stated and we got to see every character!!!

First off: DH's main man..

Look how stoked DH is! LOL!

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0975.jpg

Goofy came so quick, that I didn’t even get a chance to take my sweater off!!! :woohoo:

Didn’t take too many pics of the food since it’s standard buffet style breakfast : Fresh fruit, yogurt selections, scrambled eggs & omelets made to order, biscuits and gravy, breakfast pizza (BOMB), smoked salmon, mickey waffles, bacon & sausage, potatoes, assorted hot & cold cereals, bread pudding, muffins, danish, donuts, bagels & breads, coffee, tea, and juice!!! ~ 18.99 @ 2 adults

Look how good those Mickey Waffles look!!! This should be framed and mounted in my kitchen! It’s definitely a piece of art, don’t you agree?!
The oatmeal was freakin good! I eat oatmeal 5 days out of the week and I was dying for some oatmeal, and this hit the spot!

Some more character pics..

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0988.jpg

DH!!! You better be checkin' out those Mickey Waffles!!! :rotfl:

I loved this place!!! Not many kids which was weird!! Lots of couples!! Older and younger!!! So adults with no kids out there…don’t be afraid…come out and play with the Beach-faring characters!!! They’ll love you!! :lovestruc

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 1 credit per person because it’s a Character Dining restaurant, so it’s 2 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total for 2 adult buffets(less for children) , with tax = $40.45

Yes, a little expensive for breakfast , but there really is lots to choose from so if you’re a big eater, this place will be perfect for you! What’s even better is that you get to interact with Characters for those that are interested! They weren’t trying to rush through at all…in fact the characters came around a second time, and Goofy sat down next to me while I was eating for a few seconds, “chatting”, well, communicating the best we can! Lol! Honestly we had fun! DH said for sure next time we’re going to do more breakfasts! Yay! He said next time and another Yay cuz he said more breakfast!!! This calls for a Happy Elaine(Seinfeld) Dance! :dancer:

WOW!!! That Cape May breakfast looks sooo yummy!

You and your DH are so adorable!!

We have an ADR for the Cape May character breakfast on our last morning of our July trip. We're staying at Boardwalk Villas so we figured it would be convenient to go there when it opens at 7:30 before hitting the road. DH and I also love breakfast, and we love breakfast buffets so we can try different foods. My boys LOVE the characters too, and so do we!! DH and I are DVC members (we own at BWV) and we will be 65 when the contract expires in the year 2032...I can totally picture myself, at that age, still acting like a little kid at those character breakfasts!! :lmao:

Flying Fish looks wonderful too. Not going there on this trip but it is a strong possibility for our next one. We go to Disney World every other year in July. This summer, my boys will be 3 and 5 so my little one is too little for the kids' camp in the evenings. Next time we go after that my little guy will be 5 so DH and I will put them in the camp for one evening for a few hours and go to a nice romantic dinner. Flying Fish is a definite possibility for that, but I have others in mind as well (Narcoossee's, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Bistro de Paris, California Grill and of course Victoria & Albert's!). There I go again, planning WAY too far ahead...I guess I should go on the first trip before I begin planning the next one that is 2 years later!! And why is it that when I start any kind of trip planning, I start by checking out the food?! Goodness, I need help! :rotfl:

But seriously, I'm actually a lot like you. I eat very healthy all the time and I indulge (a.k.a., PIG OUT!!) on vacation! We only go on one big vacation a year so I make the most of it and just go back to good eating habits and my exercise routine when I get home, although I do try to squeeze in some workouts on vacation too...makes me feel better about the eating and like I will still be a size 4 when I return! ;)

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 1 credit per person because it’s a Character Dining restaurant, so it’s 2 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total for 2 adult buffets(less for children) , with tax = $40.45

Awesome review! I can't wait to try this place when we're there! We're big breakfast fans, so that looks totally yummy!

I do have a question about the credits though - do you mean it was 2 credits per person from the deluxe plan? I thought only the ones marked "2" on the brochurehttp://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2010DeluxeDining.pdf were 2 credits per person?? I'm confused!

Ok a few words of wisdom From the Bobble to the Clank.

1. Your writing style although very entertaining and keeps you wanting to come back for more of the food porn you deliver. You lost me when you referenced yourself in the 3rd person mode. See Flying fish critque.

2. Your DH shirt on the Cape May day? Long Beach State undefeated in Football since 1991. National Championship worthy team? No. Football team ceases to exist? Yep. I know this because I was born and raised in the LBC.

3. Either your DH is checkin that A** out or he is thinking gawd she really doesn't need to go for seconds.:rotfl:

Lesha, Can I call you Lesha, I feel like we are friends now. I mean after all I invited you to Le Cellier. :woohoo: Flying fish looked like the Kaboom. Makes me wish we would have ressied up there. Cape May for Breakfast will be marked off the list in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait for the breakfast pizza. Thanks for the heads up.

What I want to know, how do you get your pictures to show up so big in your review. I did one for the same period and they all came out tiny! I had some yummy meals in there and I don't know how to "supersize" my pictures for my review.

I want to figure it out before DCA F&W so I can show lovely large images like you have!

Great idea! And what a way to end a trip!

Nope plan as far ahead as you want! I always do!!:rotfl:

Omgosh me too!!! Everytime we go to a different town for vacay, I always go to yelp.com and see what the locals are eating!!! :rotfl2: And no we don't need help, we're just hungry!! Lol!

CSR has a very nice workout room, and I got to use it a couple times...seriously guilt is my worst enemy!!! :lmao:

Awesome review! I can't wait to try this place when we're there! We're big breakfast fans, so that looks totally yummy!

I do have a question about the credits though - do you mean it was 2 credits per person from the deluxe plan? I thought only the ones marked "2" on the brochurehttp://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2010DeluxeDining.pdf were 2 credits per person?? I'm confused!

The only Character Dining restaurant that take up 2 credits per person is Cinderella's Royal Table, so for Cape May Cafe, they only took 1 credit per person on the dining plan. If you look at the Dining Plan Locations section, you'll see which restaurants take up 2 credits per person, because it will have a 2 next to it, and it's all Signature Dining, Dinner Shows, In room dining delivery, and CRT. Hope this help!

Ok a few words of wisdom From the Bobble to the Clank.

1. Your writing style although very entertaining and keeps you wanting to come back for more of the food porn you deliver. You lost me when you referenced yourself in the 3rd person mode. See Flying fish critque.

:rotfl: I did that because I got so tired of saying "I"...so Lesha thought she would change it up!!

2. Your DH shirt on the Cape May day? Long Beach State undefeated in Football since 1991. National Championship worthy team? No. Football team ceases to exist? Yep. I know this because I was born and raised in the LBC.

LOL! Yup no football team which is why they're undefeated!! :lmao: Yeah DH that was a cleaver shirt so when he saw it on campus he just had to have it! Ugh, I miss the LBC!!! I only lived there for 2 years but it was awesome!!!

3. Either your DH is checkin that A** out or he is thinking gawd she really doesn't need to go for seconds.

I wish EVERYONE would call me Lesha, so yes, PLEASE do!!!

:lmao:

Yes I am at the very end I'm totally gonna break it down for ya'll!

Also, what snacks did you like? Any that were not sweet?

I'm afraid "not sweet" doesn't compute with me...:rotfl: No but really though every snack I had was sweet! :lmao: Maybe someone else here can help you with that!

Ooh Cape May looks fun! I love your Minnie shirt-I have it too! We have great taste!

Omgosh because I think every Disney-loving chick has this shirt!! :rotfl2: I saw it all OVER the place at Disneyland and at Disney World!!!

I'm loving your reviews, but I can't see any pictures from the FF or the Cape May. Just empty space there.

WTheck?!? I can see all of them! Except for the restaurants at the very beginning of my quest like Kona, Tonys, etc. because of some bandwidth crapola...I'm sorry you can't see them!

With how cute your are, your DH can not be checking out that A**!

You are too kind!!! :worship:

What I want to know, how do you get your pictures to show up so big in your review. I did one for the same period and they all came out tiny! I had some yummy meals in there and I don't know how to "supersize" my pictures for my review.

I think before you upload them, you have options of what size to upload them to...choose the large or the x-large one! I made a new account with photobucket and they've been automatically uploading to this size. Kinda weird but I'm happy with it!

I want to figure it out before DCA F&W so I can show lovely large images like you have!

Ooh when are you going?! It doesn't start this weekend does it?? I'm probably going to DL this upcoming Friday!

leshaI am leaving in 10 days and I do not see much movement in your DR. It is very concerning to the Bobber :confused3 that I wont be able to see your final reviews before I leave. I got money if you are looking for monetary reimbursement for your work, I have Dinsey pennies I could send you. Please, I beg you, to quickly complete your DR so I can go into my trip knowing I have been well educated on my dining choices. Whew! I need a drink, got any disney drinks you can suggest besides beer.

On another note where in the LBC did you dwell? Myself I lived in the El Dorado park area or East LB.

And yes you can use ressied up, but hurry I might copyright it.

We ate at Cape may for breakfast early too. We took a taxi from POP so we didn't have to worry about being late, for the $10, it was well worth it. We loved the breakfast and the laid back feeling there, the characters seemed to spend much more time with us then at CP and the food was very good. A great place if on DDP. We are staying at BC so I am sure we will find our way down there several mornings.

This is going to be the worst installment EVER!!! SO MUCH DRAMA! Well not really, I just like saying “So much drama” cuz then I’ll have everyones attention! Lol!

So here’s the drama: We had an early breakfast at Cape May Café and our next ADR wasn’t until 530 at Yachtsman, so DUH I’m gonna get hungry right?! So we were at Epcot that day, and we decide to go share some famous Fish and Chips (7.99) over in the UK with a Harp for me (8.00) and a Stella for DH (8.00).

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_1034.jpg

Are you as shocked as I am that we didn’t order a Yuengling!? :scared1: Frightening right?!? Lol!

So we were still thirsty, so DH was going to go get us some Hoegaarden’s (really good BTW). Well he ended up talking to a chap (using UK lingo! :woohoo:)about Guiness and how disgusto it was yada yada. Anyways, so I still haven’t gotten my beer 10 minutes later, so I just decided to invite myself over and force my way into their convo. So DH and I are conversing with, Craig (or is it Greg?) drinking are Hoe’s (wow…I can’t shorten anything without it sounding bad! :lmao: ), then he introduces us to his girlfriend who was in the bathroom. Her name was Shy. Such an awesome and fun couple! :thumbsup2

After our Hoe’s, we ordered another Harp and Stella, because they still wanted to hang out and chat, so why not right??

(Insert “drama” here)

So we were all feeling pretty good, but still wanted to hang out, just not at the Pub because it started getting crazy busy, so we head over to Mexico…Now we all know what’s in Mexico, right folks! It’s called “Drama” in the form of Shot glasses!!! LOL!!! :rotfl:

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0810.jpg

http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad130/aliciacrow1/IMG_0812.jpg

Yup, those were for DH, and I had the Blood Orange Margarita (So yummy and very strong, so be careful!) Well I can hold my alcohol pretty good, so I decided to get 2 Tecates….. After hanging around the Tequila bar for a while, they wanted to show us to their favorite hang out spot…Crew’s Cup Lounge over at the Yacht Club…so we take the boat from Epcot to the Yacht Club. Pretty neat place guys!!! Check it out! I have two Blue Moons, and by this time, I’m feeling WAYY to good! Too good to eat!!! Same with DH…hence the Death of the Yachtsman!! Wanna know what’s even funnier!? Crew’s Cup Lounge is down the Hall from Yachtsman!!! :rotfl2: :sad2: Goodness Gracious!!! So we bounce out on our ADR and go back to CSR to lay down and just grab some dinner from the Pepper Market later that night.

Alas, no Yachtsman Steakhouse review…but this means next time for sure!!! I mean, I’m sad about not being able to try it, but we did have a lot of fun hanging out with Craig(Greg) and Shy! So no regrets here! But Yachtsman does deserve a formal apology:

Dear Yachtsman,
Please forgive Leshaface and DH for not meeting with you on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 5:30 that evening. It was an accident. An accident that I can’t go back and re-do, but what’s done is done, and I hope you will allow us to make up for this inconvenience and permit us to make future ADR’s with you again. We’ve only heard great things about your Porterhouse and New York strip! Please, hear our plea, and let’s start over. Let’s make 2011 our year to make amends and form a beautiful friendship that will last for years to come.

Dear Lesha or is it Lusha,

Not acceptable, to think that you would chose a romp with Mrs Tequila and Mrs Margarita over me is beyond all comprehension. I waited and waited for you to appear as I had something very special for you in the form of Porter and my boy strip. You missed out and could have been blessed meeting us but Nooooooo you decided that Craig(Greg) or Gregory, who gives a damn and that no good bathroom patron known as "SHY" over me. Who do you think you are? Is SHY even a real name or is it a cover for yourself meaning you were to SHY to visit me the master Yachtman? Anyways your services may not be needed in the future as you opened up a space for someone we truly enjoy having as our compadre. In the future if you decide that you want to come visit with us please do so without making lame excuses. Shy? come on really?

With Sincere regards,

Sir master Yachtman and his friends Porter and Strip.

P.S. - And the nerve of you teasing me by coming this way via epcot and shacking up at the Crew's Cup is like pouring salt on the open wound you created on our already stressed relationship. I was pissing with excitement, like a little puppy dog when his master makes it home from work, only to be hit with the disappointment that you were not coming to see me. I am thinking about sending a little not welcome note to the CM's so we can get your account flagged for any future considerations you may have about me. If you can't tell I am pretty pissed about being treated like the step child in our relationship.

Hey! We have a whole Long Beach thing going on here! I live there now, in Bluff Heights near 4th and Temple. Where in Central Cali are you now?

As far as CA F&W it doesn't start for another month and a half. I'll be out there six out of the seven weekends that the festival takes place. Three of the weekends I'll be staying at the GCV, and the others we'll be out there for Winemaker or Brewmaster Dinners.

Too bad you missed the Yachtman, they have one heckofa Rib Eye steak. One of the best I've ever had, and the chocolate dessert that I had was to die for!

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: This is clearly the best letter EVER written!!! Do you write professionally?? Perhaps you can help me re-write my letter to the Yachtsman, seeing as how it's not up to par?! I'm am dying with laughter!!! And you're right...maybe my name is Lusha after all!!! :rotfl:

Shocking! Standing up a good restaurant like that!

But nice to see you are working on your British lingo (chap - could have also used Bloke!)

Yes! I was hoping you were gonna chime in and give me a better word to use then chap! Bloke is a great one too!!!

Re: Greg/Craig.

Was the gentleman English? If so - it was probably Greg. As most places in England tend to prounouce Craig - Craaayyg. Not to rhyme with Greg.

If he was from elsewhere I cannot help you.

:lmao: Nope he was from New York I believe, but thanks for trying to help me out!!! I believe that alcohol also impairs your hearing! :lmao:

I knew going to "The Ditch" could quite possibly be the beginning of The Yachtsman's demise!

:rotfl2: "The Ditch"!!! Love it!!! :lmao:

I'm going to chime in here with another for your DH's shirt! Another LB native here. It's so weird, while we were in disney last year we met 1 other person from Cali over a grand total of 14 days.

Great reviews. I'm getting hungry, and I just ate...

:yay: Wow have lots of LB peeps on the Dis!!! :woohoo: Yeah, we didn't meet a single person from Cali at all!! The closest was Washington!

Absolutely loving your reviews. Everything looks so good! I also love that you decided to forego your ressie for an afternoon of drinking. Glad you guys had so much fun!

And we really did have a great time, which is why I'm not too upset about it!! It was fun, for once, to actually hang out with an actual couple! Here at home, we don't have many friends that are couples..the majority are all single so that kind of puts a damper on the whole 'hanging out' issue! Coming to WDW is the most PERFECT place to meet couples!

Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and go with the flow......flowing drinks that is lol

:worship: Lol!! Yes! That was awesome!!! I think you should be one of my writers to lively up my Dining TR!

I wish you would've taken a pic of drunken you and DH! :rotfl:

Oh man, I have PLENTY of those! :rotfl2: Why in the world would I need another one???...well actually I don't have one from the World...DANGIT!!! I should have taken one! Next time tinkgurl!!!

Hey! We have a whole Long Beach thing going on here! I live there now, in Bluff Heights near 4th and Temple. Where in Central Cali are you now?

About 45 mins North of Bakersfield...the middle of nowhere pretty much!

As far as CA F&W it doesn't start for another month and a half. I'll be out there six out of the seven weekends that the festival takes place. Three of the weekends I'll be staying at the GCV, and the others we'll be out there for Winemaker or Brewmaster Dinners.

I'm hoping to make it to something this year! I've had an AP for 4 years and the only thing I've ever made it to was, believe it or not, a beer tasting! :lmao: It was fun though! Like I said i'm prob going down this weekend...gotta check out that Captain Eo!!:rotfl:

Too bad you missed the Yachtman, they have one heckofa Rib Eye steak. One of the best I've ever had, and the chocolate dessert that I had was to die for!

UGH, don't even TRY to lay the guilt trip on me!!! :rotfl2: I love Rib Eye too!! So now I know what i'm getting next time!

Love the report!! Where exactly is this place so I can have some of these????

Jakenjess is correct...it's really neat, small, but cool!

That would be Le Cava de Tequila in the Mexico pavilion. The margaritas are phenomenal!:thumbsup2

Omgosh! My Blood Orange Margarita was INSANO!! Very expensive but sooo good!

Sign ME up! It is vacation after all!

EXACTLY!!!! :lmao:

We too are going to F&WF so I doubt I need to go here, but......it is VACATION!!! We are also staying at CSR...our first time, hope we like it. Depending on our timing, we may see each other slumped over:lmao:

CSR is really nice, but the property is so huge! We asked for a Casitas building because we needed to be close to the Workout Center and the Laundry facilities, and we were also very close to bus stop #2...but we were pretty FAR away from the food court area, so make sure you look at a map of CSR and get a general idea of where you would ideally like to stay, and ask the front desk if anything is available! :thumbsup2 Have a great vacation!

Yes, this was definitely a CRAPPY installment guys, but i'm uploading all my pics for Chefs right now! So be on the look out...my reviews coming up!

even though we can't spend the money for the drinks you enjoy, I would love to hear how much it costs you for a round of tequillas. I LOVE a tequilla shot!

So proud that the drama started in the UK :rotfl2:
