There are vacation packages available on the Universal site now that include one hour early entry to IOA.

I called them and asked what if I don't have a package cause I have rooms and tickets already and rep said once WWOHP opens ALL onsite hotel guests will get one hour early entry at IOA!!!!!:cool1::cool1:

I hope so, I would be slightly ticked off it after paying for onsite I didn't get in early and those that bought the package deal later did.

that is GREAT news since the express pass can only be used once for HP it will really help.

Now if I could just get our room rate down!

Excellent news! :cool1: I was going to call to ask the very same thing.
I bought our tickets in March 2008 when I found out that the WWoHP was going to be built, and then booked our rooms last November for this coming June. It would have been a real bummer if only new package deals received this perk.

Now if only the PIN I received today for room discounts was for the days we will be there . . . but alas!

Sure - Room rate discounts effective from now-March 25 and April 4-June10. RPR up to 49% off; HRH up to 33%; and PBH up to 43%
You must book by February 28.

We will be there June 12-14 and I can't change it because of DH work as well as my niece and nephews school schedules. Thanks to all of the snow here they will miss the last few "make-up" days as it is. I'm just glad my sister is letting them skip. It was hard enough co-ordinating college, high, middle, and elementary schedules the first time.

I got that pin today too and we are going the end of July so I couldn't use it either. When I called they asked for my email address that the pin was sent to...does anyone know if it can be used by someone else....since I am not using it.

We got the pin code today and are not AP holders and have never been, DH thinks it's because he signed up for email updates from Universal. (Signed up on the website.) Give it a try!

We are so excited because the best price we could get was $199 at RPH with an AP. Now we got $154 and don't have to buy an AP--we can all use our $99 tickets! :yay:

That makes sense, I'm not an AP holder either and I signed up for the HP updates. I'm sure that's what triggered the email, and I thought maybe they got hold of Disney's lists :lmao:

How do you sign up for a PIN code? We will be staying next February for a few nights pre-cruise. Thanks.

I would love someone's PIN if they can be used by others. I am going during those days (end of May) and that would be fabulous. Right now I am thinking we won't be staying onsite, which is a real bummer, because I can't swing $200+ a night.

same here!:thumbsup2 A week on-site for us ( family of 4)will be just under $1400 for resort and tix...and not a value resort! Plus we can pool hop again! I rec'd the survey for ticket prices a few months ago, I thought that was why the PIN came, and that we had to cancel our previous hotel ressies due to illness...who knows, but I am glad we can take advantage.

I remain uncertain, since poster #1163 in the big long WWOHP thread

was specifically told hotel-only were NOT allowed early entry at WWOHP. :confused3

I guess we won't know for certain but I personally talked to a seemingly very knowledgeable woman at Universal. I called a week ago and was asking something about my ressie made last August for this Nov. When I asked her about early entry she said definitely on-site guests get early entry "once" WWOHP opens..

based on my conversation with her I feel very comfortable in thinking we will get in early...time will tell...

I just booked HRH for November and I asked if we would get early entry without package and was told yes, all onsite hotel guests would get early entry!!:thumbsup2

I will be very upset if that is not the case!

I just got off the phone with a Universal rep. She assured me that the only guest getting into WWOHP an hour early are those who booked Harry Potter packages. It does not matter if you are staying on-site or in a preferred hotel. You might get into IOA early but no Harry unless you booked that package. I thought I would post. We were going to stay on-site but purchase our tix through AAA but now I will just pay the extra for the Harry package. Not taking the chance, especially July 4th week.

I was wondering if this might be why there is confusion. :sad2:

I guess it is all in who you talk to. I spoke to a Universal rep on Monday (I booked my package in Jan before promo) and she stated that WWOHP is included for my package in regards to early entry and the one time express pass. I hope she is right!!!!

Ok...I just booked a "harry potter package" for 4 nights - that includes breakfast at the 3 Broomsticks. So is the the "HP package" that people are saying definitely does get in 1 hour early to the HP attraction?

Another report about early entry detailed elswhere:

phone call received from Universal following an email question - told there will be no early entry to WWHP for onsite guests unless they have booked the HP package. Also that there will be no FOTL (not even once) when WWHP first opens...

I'm not sure about early entry, but when talking with an onsite hotel service person, they said when you stay onsite each person gets one pass for each day FOTL for Harry Potter. That was a few weeks ago.

I have stayed onsite and gotten early entry but the catch to that is most rides aren't even open yet and would think that would apply to WWOHP also

I called Universal about the HP package I booked this morning and asked and they said that we could get in an hour early and that "everything" would be open but there was no "express pass" or whatever we call it - the type that comes with your room if you stay onsite at one of the Universal hotels.

Well, even being able to walk around a less crowded Hogsmeade for an hour would be fine with me. Early entry to FJ would be awesome, but if it's not available that's ok, especially if we at least have one FOTL each day. Or we can always wait with the inevitable mob by the entrance to the line, to get in as early as possible.

I just got off of the phone to check about my pin code. The best rate I could get for HRH 5/31-6/4 was $195. I'll keep my aph rate of $144. She said she had a memo on her desk that states all onsite guests will get in 1 hour early starting 3rd week of May. And will get a 1 time express pass for Forbidden Journey.:cool1:

Thank you!

I wonder if that means 1 time per day or just one time. I mean if you are staying 5 nights and one get a one time pass per guest that would kind of be a bummer. But hey, to be honest that is still more than I would have expected, especially if we get early entry as well.
