Ok, need a little help here! And you lot seem to be the ones who can help as you all seem to know everything there is to know about Euro Disney!!
I want to visit ED in November/December (pref December) for the Xmas theme. There will be me, my husband and 3 children who will then be 12,2 and just 1 years of age. I want to stay a minmum of 3 nights.
Looking at the prices and rooms, am I right in thinking it will be cheapest to self drive, ferry and accommodation outside of ED?
Coach is not looking great with 2 v little ones (have gone by coach before when my eldest son was 7 years old and he was an angel, but am quite sure my 2 year old daughter will not be......).
Any ideas or tips where to start would be very much appreciated! Thanks!:flower3:

We're hoping to go later this year too - but are holding off booking for a little while until some more offers are released cause some of the prices just now aren't great. But by the sounds of it on here - the offers will be released in the next couple of weeks :)

Hi and welcome to the forum!
We usually drive and get the ferry, however we live in Surrey so its not too long a trip to Dover. We have found that to be the cheapest way and will be doing it again this year. Our daughter was 18 months last time and she was fine in the car.
If you wait a few more days before booking there may be another deal coming out very soon, last year it was 40% off, which *I think* would only be valid on the Disney Hotels, not sure if that would make it any cheaper than offsite though?
Hope that helps!

Thanks for that. I had noticed that a lot of the searches on sites don't tend to go to December yet?
May take your advice and leave it a little longer before actually booking then if the offers should appear soon !
Thanks Izzie Wizzie!

There don't appear to be any offers out for later in the year yet, so I'd wait a bit longer too, see what offers come out for the dates you're looking at :).

Thanks Jools and DLPdaft.
My kids are used to long car journeys - all my family live 180 miles away from us so we travel on a regular basis. I live in North Wales so will maybe have a look at a night stopover before we get a ferry across? ED's a bit further than 180 miles (!!!!) and would this be a good idea to break up the journey?
Are the park ticket prices likely to change much or will it just be offers on package deals?
Sorry for all the questions!

Hi, do you shop in Tesco's at all? If so, you can get a Eurotunnel crossing and use Clubcard vouchers in full or part payment. We are going from the North west next week, and we are stopping over in the Holiday Inn in Folkestone before getting an early tunnel crossing. It was £50 for a family room, inc breakfast.

Off the Eurotunnel to Disney is exactly 190 miles and will be much quicker than the 180 you do in UK because the speed limit on french pay motorways is 130kmph (just over 80mph). In feb going on a Sunday took me about 2 1/2 hours (breaking no speed limits) as hardly any lorrys. Coming home on thursday afternoon was nearer (but not quite) 3hrs. Very easy journey. Tolls are 20euros20 each way.
I am fairly sure that last year they did have a couple of special offers on just park ticket but i cant remember what they were sorry.

Thanks for the replies so far, you've given me some great advice and information to get started with. So will sit down tonight and hopefully we will get to see santa in Euro Disney! :santa:
My son doesn't know anything yet, so I have to be very excited in private!!

I'd advise you to wait for booking for Disneyland Paris (I must admit when you refered to is at Euro Disney I thought "bless" It's been a while since it was called that )
I'd recommend waiting for the offers to come out, though you may find you might have to wait for the offers after this time around, as Christmas season starts November the 8th and I'm waiting to book them too. I spoke to my T.A and she said that effectilvely they are clased as "next year" so the offers won't be out till around the end of August for a good deal :scared1:
I'm waiting to book July too - so fingers crossed the offers will be good ones like last year - I'd love the free dining for my November trip as I'll need loads and loads of food to keep warm :lmao:
I'd also recommend that if you are driving, then a stay in Folkestone (for the shuttle) or Dover (for the ferry) rather than Ashford as just recently Operation Stack has been used all too often along the M20 and getting down the motorway has been a nightmare (although the A20 is a lovely drive, but take a lot longer) :goodvibes

Ha sorry  It will always be Euro disney to me, guess I'm showing my age...
Looks like we will be driving and then the Eurotunnel, it means we can stop when we like which I think is best for the kids. Stopover will be in Folkestone then.(Will look at the Holiday Inn)
Kyriad Hotel seems to be coming up at a reasonable price and has the shuttle into DL (see - I remembered then!) which will be great .
Will pay for the tunnel with Tesco clubcard vouchers - had no idea you could do this , so thanks for that tip!
Just need to wait for the park tickets to come on sale and see what the offers are like?
Would it be alright to book everything before I buy the tickets - just in case the rooms/times become unavailable in the mean time? Am going to wait a couple more weeks in case I see better prices, time but would like to do it then.
Thank you so much to everyone that has replied to this thread, I'm finally getting my head round it all now and things seem a lot clearer !:grouphug:

:lmao: your post made me laugh :thumbsup2
PErsonally, if you know what dates you want to go and have a rough idea of how much you want to spend, then you could always book your travel/over night hotel(s) before hand. This could work in your advantage as it cuts down the final cost (with out you realising that you have some of it covered if you get my drift :surfweb:)
I tend to price up a break with a rough estimate of what it would cost without a discount, then hope for the best! This is the process I'm using for July - the train is already booked so I just hope I can get the actual holiday portion cheaper otherwise it'll be a few days onsite and a few days off!!
I'm going too in November so I am waiting to hear as you are :laundy: could be a bit of a wait but that adds to the excitement!!
