Does anyone know the plans for the Paradise View Terrace at VGC?
It doesnt appear to be finished and its a suprise that this part of a DVC property is not available to members?

I was told by our guide that the terrace is finished and it will be used, exclusively by DVC owners, for viewing of the World of Color show.

Thanks for the response.
Currently staying at VGC, no indications that the Terrace is available.

Once WOC actually opens, no doubt members staying there will be told about it in some manner. Until then, it's just a patio on the 6th floor. When I was there in December it was locked. I've read other accounts of it being unlocked. So it's kind of just there until it's actually put into use.

This will be cool, hope it is open in August.

We'll be there in May, and hopefully WOC will be having soft openings. I wonder if DCA guests will have to reserve a time for a spot on the viewing deck?

Wouldn't that be interesting... now you've got me thinking about the whole new "showpass" concept I've been reading about for WOC, and whether they'll use something like that system for the villas guests too or not. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Please do post your experiences after your May visit. I won't be back there 'til November...

I will. The terrace doesn't seem very large, and I am sure they will probably staff it with a CM. It will be Food & Wine while we are there also.

How is the view from there?

I was just there, and stayed in a villa about 3 or 4 doors down from it (closer to WOC) on the 6th floor. The view from my room would definitely be better than Paradise View Terrace. IMO Paradise View Terrace is going to have a more sideways view of WOC, than straight on. I was able to watch testing for WOC every night! I went down to the PVT and it was locked.
I asked the CM at the concierge desk about its use. He said it was still undecided how to reserve it. It might be a priority viewing experience, with a fee attached. He was unsure if it would only be available to DVC members, or any GCH guest. Having seen where it is, and the view from my room and the obstruction in the way of the Zephyr, and sideways facing... I would not pay for a WOC viewing experience. But I'd enjoy it for free if my room didn't have a Paradise Pier view!

Interesting..did the CM mention if the music would be piped into the rooms so you could get a full experience from the room?
