Just saw this listed with the other permit filings on another site
Bay Lake Tower – Lock-off renovation mock-up (selective demo and renovation).
Not sure if the link will post but... http://www.mouseplanet.com/9160/Walt_Disney_World_Resort_Update
If they are going to start renovating I think the first thing they need to address is the bathroom lighting :sad2:... and marble floor in the elevator lobby on the 5th floor. It becomes slippery and, IMO, dangerous when it rains.
Anybody have the inside scoop?

Possibly adding window sheers and addressing the alignment/closing/locking issues of the bathroom pocket doors?

That title sounds like a potential BLT preview/sales center in BLT (ground floor?) I think there was talk, at one time, about having a small DVC sales center in BLT to grab more guests in the park that may not want to take the "lengthy" trip to SSR.
I do not think there has ever been talk about replacing the SSR sales center, though. (I used to want my SSR space back for more QS dining, but now that they are building one at Paddock, I'm not so disapointed)

maybe to fix the stuff that was damaged way back in Aug.....
besides they definitely need a sales center here - if for nothing more than to let in the DVC guides and their guests.

I'm pretty sure there is already a sales center at BLT on the ground floor - almost positive of it.
But I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! :teeth:

They have rooms on the first floor (left side as you enter the front) that they use for tours and also to sit down and discuss contracts.

It sounds like the model is getting a renovation and nothing more. I would imagine that with thousands going though it weekly at the minimum the carpets need replacing. Who knows what else is acting up. Considering the acutal rooms are showing wear and tear I would expect the model is worse.

We stayed in a 1BR last week and I was very disappointed to see how poorly the materials were wearing. The dinette cushion was torn, seam was pulling out and the sofa cushion was also falling apart. This after only being open for 6 months! Overall I thought the room was gorgeus but it won't stay that way for long!

It's the wording that gets me.
"renovation mock up" sounds to me like they have plans for a reno but want/need to do a test run before a complete roll out.
:confused3:rolleyes1
