I just got my Disnet Store Gift card for the Mazda test drive.

For the Mazda test drive. But I am not very close to a Disney Store, Is there somewhere that I can spend this at WDW. We will be there in Oct.

All TDS gift cards that I'm familiar with are only good at TDS....I think the one in the orlando qualifies as a TDS even though the CM's say they are part of WDW.....I'd give them a call.....

There is a Disney Store at the Florida Mall, but the one at DTD is part of WDW, and won't take TDS gift cards. If you are driving, or renting a car, I would take a trip to the Florida Mall. If not, you can use your gift card online and for catalog purchases.

I did the test drive in early spring so I don't know if it is still going on, it just took them this long to get it to me. If you do a search on the Budget board this might help as this was where I found out about it early this year.

Also where is the Florida Mall is it the one with Belz in it as we plan on visiting this mall this time.

Glad you posted! I did the test drive and mailed it in early April and have not received it. You gave me renewed hope:D ! I also believe the DS at DTD is part of WDW and would not take them:( .

Maybe. Sometimes I think it depends on the store (how well the CMs are trained, LOL). I've read some posts that report using gift cards to purchase DD.

Usually, the gift cards have something printed on the back of them. Does yours say for merchandise only or list exclusions? Since Disney Dollars can be used at WDW or traded in for the cash equivalent, the gift cards usually exclude them.

I am a DS CM and have never seen a gift card that cannot be used to purchase Disney Dollars. Many of the promotions where you can RECEIVE a gift card if you spend a certain amount exclude the purchase of Disney Dollars, but that isn't what you are trying to do.

I would use the gift card to purchase Disney Dollars online (Do they sell them online?) or through the catalog. The closest DS to WDW would be the Florida Mall. No stores at the park or Downtown Disney will take DS gift cards

I got my Mazda $25 DS gift card friday and saturday night I went to our DS and got $25 disney dollars towards our trip. It might depend on the store, but the CM I dealt with said that it was the same as dealing with cash.

First they told me no they couldn't, but then I told them I talked to another store and they said it was the same as cash. So after talking with the store manager, they realized they could do it.

Thanks for the info! I did the test drive too & the GC has been on my fridge for a while. I wasn't sure if you could use it at the world of disney store. Now I'll go get the disney dollars & use them for our sept vacation :)

Just be nice about it. :) Those CM's are only telling you the information they have at hand. Probably your best bet would be to just automatically speak to a manager... that way you get the answer from the horse's mouth, so to speak, instead of having to go through the middleman. The managers have manager written under their names on their nametags, so you can readily tell them from the CM's.

I did the test drive so long ago, and they can't get the card to me yet. They claim they mailed it out the 1st time and got returned back to them, (yes, they had the correct address), and they just told me it was ups to me July 15th and they will track it and try to get it to me again. YA RIGHT! Anyways I'm leaving next week and really wanted to get Disney Cash. And yes, you can get disney cash from a gc. I had to call a # I found on disneystore.com and there is a list I think, faq not sure but search the site with DISNEY STORE GIFT CARD it doesn't say that you can't buy disney dollars.

You know what stinks? I'm a service manager at a Mazda dealership, own 2 new Mazdas and completely missed this promotion!!! :mad: I test drive Mazdas every day for pete's sake!!

I did the Mazda test drive in June. I have been shopping for a car, so I visited the Mazda site and surprise, they sent me an email with a form to take to dealer, then mail to them. I received an email within a week with a link to www.giftcertificates.com where I could select what gift certificate I wanted - but no DS. I got a $50 certificate to TJ Maxx. There were a lot of different stores and restaurants. Try going to Mazda's website.

I did this test drive and, luckily, had no problems getting the GC. However, when I went to our local Disney Store I was not allowed to use it to buy Disney Dollars. And, the CM was downright rude when I asked about doing so. :(

So glad this was posted. I called Mazda(got number from their site) and spoke with them last Thursday(testdrove the MPV in March). They were going to check into it for me. I just got my $25 card in the mail today:D ! I hope to use them for Disney dollars, if not I am sure we can find something:cool: !
