Just found out that Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop will carry 36 people at once. One ride cycle will take 60 seconds. I'm rather dissapointed with the ride length!

That is LAME!

I would hate to queue more than 5 minutes for a 60 second ride.

Does anyone have any piccies of the new attractions (even if from a point of view elsewhere in the park?)

It looks stupid! I wish we could get new stuff that is not all pixar themed. It needs more decent shows, I would love a musical one like Beauty & The Beast at DHS.

Oh me too!! I'm a massive Beauty and the Beast fan, and loved the show they have in WDW (and the London stgae production bought tears to my eyes) This Pixar stuff is starting to irritate me now, which is unlike me :( But truth be told, the new "land" fits in with the Studios and I welcome Pixar there....I'm just hoping that our beloved Castle keeps Pixar free!!

I don't mind Pixar stuff, I love Turtle Crush however seems they can't do anything original now that doesn't involve Pixar. I don't want the studios to be over taken by pixar, ToT shows that not everything needs to be Pixar.

I think TSP wouldn't be that bad if it actually had stuff like a resturant in it, and TSM. All it has is 3 tacky theme park rides that have just been themed to Pixar. The Parachute drop reminds me of the ride in beano land in Chessington

In true travelling fair tradition are they going to have a coconut shy where the last nut is glued into the stand?

And, if you complain, the staff take you around the back, and point one of the air rifles at you from the shooting range at point blank range, pull the trigger....and miss.

Although it is never going to happen TSM would be a great addition to DHS. I personally would love to see a Soarin over Europe as well. But again, never going to happen!!

DLP have some idiots in charge at the moment! I can't believe anyone will think this will improve attendance over the long term. :confused3

They have spent more on TSP then they did on ToT, which to me is shocking seeing what a superior ride ToT is compared to the farce of TSP.

Having one of those rides would be better than this. They are rides for the whole family and children don't out grow them.

That is shocking! ToT is amazingly themed. Just shows that they could of spent the money just doing one amazing ride.

This is what depresses me about DLP, they waste money and then moan when they are barely able to pay of there debt.

Wow, ToT cost less than TSP!! ToT is amazingly theamed and this ride is, well not!

Wideeyes, I agree the park needs more rides that are suitable for the whole family and rides that children will not grow out of.

Oh well, at least the park has Crush's Coaster which is unique to Paris. I think that ride would fit really well into Disney's Californian Adventure.

Shame its a slow loading ride which is useless for the FP system. Maybe DCA could improve on that part if it was ever built over there.

I definately think that DLP needs to make more of an effort to give you that feeling when you walk into a park at WDW...As though they have just sprinkled pixie dust over you at the gate. It's needs a little more wow factor. I know it's never going to be as good as WDW but maybe if they put more effort in and spent a little more time to detail it would make a huge difference and they probably wouldn't need to worry about so many cheap deals, i mean sometimes it's cheaper than a trip to Butlins!

Why shouldn't DLP have an awesome musical like Finding Nemo/Lion King at AK??? And why couldn't they put Soarin or TSM in DLP? Surely the cost of putting one of those major attractions in wouldn't have been a huge difference to putting three tacky rides in? Ok, maybe it would be the benefit would be far greater.

I think these new attractions once opened will look good and give people a reason to spend more than half a day in the studios easing queues in MK but in a few years they're going to look so sad and run down.

All this said..it's still disney, still better than the competition...we still love going, it's infectious! So get me there rather than here anytime! :-)

Got to slightly disagree with you here - it DOES have that wow factor and I actually prefer DLP over WDW as I felt more Pixie Dust over me this past July than I ever did in WDW - and I used to be based right by WDW! I think there are also some on here that will agree it's a much prettier park with much more detail in the Disneyland Park, sure there isn't a big grand opening everyday of the parks - but I think opening up early for EMH to hotel/AP guests is far better than late night openings as in WDW :thumbsup2 And I agree though that is WAS cheaper to go to DLP rather than Butlins (when DLP had the brilliant 40% offer) and I hope that remains the case. I don't like Butlins, but I also don't like the DLP prices much as they have gone up sooo much in two years :scared1:

Right on!! :thumbsup2

But I really do think they could have spent the money else where rather than Toy Stroy Land....but as my Dad pointed out, kids will want to go because of the films...and if kids want to go that means the parents will pay and take them!
