For those who have seen my Flickr photostream recently, I have been talking about this "RAW Idea" (for lack of a better term) wherein I invited others to process a RAW file of mine for mutual/group learning of various processing techniques. I'm fairly sure other photo forums do this (that's what someone told me, at least...), so it's hardly a groundbreaking idea. Just thought I'd let you know the "results" are finally on Flickr for the first round. Pretty interesting and informative to see how others processed the image, I thought. I learned a decent amount. Here's my shot, the rest can be seen in the captions on the image's Flickr page:

The Flickr page can be accessed by clicking the above image.

This is a great idea, I was interested in asking some of you other Disers to do the same thing. There are a lot of differences between them all!

They sure did do a good job. Are you going to keep doing this?

What a great idea! I still like your RAW processing the best. Lots of nice, vibrant colors.

Tom,I enjoy all of your photos, but I have a question. Why are your posts wider than everyone else's?The reson I ask is to read it I have to move it back and forth to read it.Just so you know you are not the only one to do this,I don't even know if you are actually doing this.I hope I didn't offend you that was not my intent.I'm goiny to WDW saturday and I hope to do a long exposure like yours from the train station.

Tom is most likely posting a large file size photo. Most others use a smaller file size.

His images fit perfectly on my screen. The bigger the better anyways.
Always love your shots Tom.

They sure did do a good job. Are you going to keep doing this?

I plan on doing it roughly once every other week for the next couple of months. I encourage everyone here to participate! I'll probably post another file this Friday on Flickr, give everyone until the following Friday to email me their processed images, and then post the results the following Monday.

Flickr gives me three size options for linking--if I choose anything smaller, the details in the images aren't readily discernible so people would have to click the image to view it on my Flickr page (although that would drive more traffic there, so maybe I should do it, lol) and then navigate to a larger size from there. I don't have any problems and I'm only on a 15.4" screen.

Great idea Tom, I saw this on your stream. I will be looking for the next photo to submit my view.
