Please allow me to ask a stupid question. What do the different symbols mean that are next to the threads? Closed red envelope, open red envelope, I think I saw a blue one. What I really want to know is about the lock. Why is a thread locked. You all know that when something is locked it makes a person that much more curious.:rolleyes1

Scroll to the bottom of the page where the beginning or title of each thread is displayed, the symbols are all explained there. A thread will be locked for many reasons, has run it's course, violations, discussion got out of hand, etc.

Thanks that was easy enough! I figured it would be that is why I deemed it a stupid question. Very sweet of you to answer it patiently. :thumbsup2

If you run across a random thread that's locked, it's likely about one of the following topics....
refillable mugs
height restrictions
parking at the resorts
off site guests going to EMH
taking kids out of school to go to WDW
cutting in lines
staking out spots for parades
Usually it's just a question of WHEN those threads get locked. Mods try and get to them before there's actual bloodshed.

Locked threads are usually fun to read! You can't help but look - like a train wreck (which we actually has here last week!).

Oh, the usually-pretty-rare locked thread on the Camping Board is always MOST entertaining! Definitely worth making a bowl of popcorn and grabbing your favorite adult beverage. :3dglasses

Usually a locked thread involves certain people from that other board (the community, very scary, board) that come in and call us a bunch of names because we don't necessarily agree with their point of view....
how dare they:rotfl2:

...or ask about sharing our campsites - making us promise to move our cars and not smoke or swear while their kid rides his bike in circles. :lmao:

Speaking of pool hopping,,how come you can go to a resort you dont stay at and eat in their restaurants, use the lobby restrooms, shop in thar resorts store, drink in that resorts Lounge/bar,,but NOT swim in their pool ?
