Dear iluv2go2disney,
Welcome aboard. sounds like you are bringing the whole family. cool. This is my first cruise too. It sounds like there should be plenty for your kids to do on the new boat. As for fish extenders, i am unfamiliar with it. As your WooHoo captain(or at least of this post), i am fine if you would like to partake in this activity and be in charge of it if you so choose. I just want everyone to have a good time and enjoy a vacation. Thankspirate:

Welcome iluv2go2disney! I agree you should be in charge of fish extenders. My daughter, son-in-law and our grandchildren 5 & 7 then will be on the cruise, as we are taking them as their 2010 Christmas gift. They will have their own cabin. They would probably love to be involved with the fish extenders! My husband and I have only been on one other Disney Cruise and they had the fish extenders going, although just the two adults, we didn't participate then. All others had fun doing it!

I would love to oversee our fish extender group. Everyone will have to help me out though. I'm guessing I need to start a list of everone who wants to participate, their room numbers and how many adults and kids are in each room? Is this correct? Do I need anything else? Is there usually a certain number of participants max?

Yes, last cruise we were on, those that participated, had a list and room numbers of those participating. Not sure how all the details worked, though. Not sure if there is a limit either. As time goes on, sure more will join on that know more! Some made their fish extenders to hang on the door, others seemed to find somewhere to order? There were pictures after the cruise!

We are so excited!! This will be cruise # 6 for us, but #1 for the Dream. It will me my dh, dd (8), ds (3), and myself. Actually, ds will be turning 3 on the 2nd day of the cruise. So we will have a celebration. As I look at the videos, it makes me really want to go and glad that we reserved.
Is there anyone else who is in GTY (Cat 008) status like I am?:confused3. I do not want a balcony because of the little one, but if that is all they have we will be right there.
I cant wait to get to know you guys in the coming months.
My family and I will be on the ship too:cheer2: Traveling with me will be my husband, DD13 and DD9 as well as my parents..We cant wait!!!!

Hello Everyone,
Hopefully we will be getting in planning mode soon, because it will be an awesome thing to be able to interact with you guys :goodvibes
Today, I am now one step closer. I purchased our One Way tickets Today!!:cool1::cool1: Notice, I said one way :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao: ? I am going to keep a look out for the one way back from MCO in the coming days. I had been stalking Airtran because for now that is who had the right prices. Also, we fly them quite frequently so it is nothing new for us. I got the tickets for $94 pp and of course the small $6 fee to choose the seats (but of well). Right now, the cost of the tickets returning are $116, which is not bad but if the one way going went down, surely those will go down. The only thing is that that flight doesn't leave until 8:00 PM. No worries with that because I will be making reservations at the Hyatt for one of their Day Rooms, which is I hear is pretty easy to reserve.
Cruise will be paid off in the next few weeks (before the end of January). We already have our room at DW at OKW (on our points).
How far has everyone gotten so far??

I was just checking in here, glad to see more joining! This will be a great time to cruise, the weather should be beautiful....can't wait! The grandchildren found out at Christmas, as it is their Christmas surprise, Disney and the Cruise for the family. My daughter knew, but we kept the secret for the grandchildren. They will be 5 and 7 and are going to love it! It will be their first cruise for DD and DSIL and DGD and DGS. This is our second Disney cruise, we did a 3 nighter on the Disney Wonder. But this ship looks amazing, been looking at all the pictures, videos, etc. We have two rooms, on the 6th floor with a balcony. Keep the posts coming. We'll be staying off site at Windsor Hills, family will be doing Disney first (7 days) so this will be great following!

The cruise really is a great way to end your wonderful 7 days at the world. I have heard nothing but great things about Windsor Hills. I think that it is similar to Caribe Cove. I love the idea of your whole family going. :thumbsup2
We will be staying at BLT. Of course this is after we had the OKW held :rotfl:. But I am really looking forward to the whole thing. We will be there three days prior.
Not sure what room we have just yet as we have the Cat 8C GTY.:banana: I like the idea of not knowing just yet, because either way it will be great!
Hopefully, more will come in :thumbsup2

Hi guys!
I just wanted to pass this along just in case someone wanted the information. Our flight on the way back will not be until 8 PM, so I went ahead and reserved a "Day Room" at the Hyatt at MCO. For the stay from 10AM -6PM the cost is $89. Not necessarily an expense I wanted at first, but with an active 2 (so to be 3) year old and our 8 year old. Having somewhere to just lay our heads, rest, or eat, is priceless. :thumbsup2
You can reserve it calling the hotel directly or you can do it in person. Just keep in mind that there are only a limited number of "Day Rooms" available each day.
I hope this information helps for anyone that might be interested.

1ST DISNEY CRUISE? IF NOT, HOW MANY HAVE YOU BEEN ON? This will be our first Disney cruise. My DH and I went on a Carnival cruise 11 years ago. My kids and parents have never been on a cruise of any kind.
I also wanted to ask some of your opinions about the fish extender idea. I know most of you said you would like to participate. Do you think we should set a limit on how many families we will take? I've never been a part of one of these so I am still learning. I look forward to hearing from all of you!

I think that there is some directions somewhere to add a signature. If I find it will let you know. In the meantime, its pretty easy: You just go to the site and choose what you want etc, and then it will give you a selection of choice links to choose from based on what you are attaching it to. If that makes sense? :confused3 I will definitely send it to you if I find it. :thumbsup2

I've never done the FE obviously, but have been reading about it and it sounds fun! My dd would love to receive and give some disney 'treasures'. I looked on ebay and they sell fish extenders. I would like to try to make my own. My aunt owns a monogram shop so I'm sure she could personalize it for me.
We are from SE Texas...bout 2 hrs from Houston. Its yucky and muggy here this am. Texas weather is crazy, because Monday morning it was 28!:confused3
I am just so excited about this cruise. I am a litle OCD with planning. I have a cruise notebook that I am compiling with info. This is what I did for our park trips and it worked well. I also have reserved my copy of the 2011 passporters book. It includes info on the Dream! It's not available until April tho.
Has your dd done the kids clubs on your previous cruises? My dh was a little worried about letting our dd do it alone, but once she saw the pictures online...she's all for it! It looks fun to her.

I found these 'rule' suggestions on another thread...
I don't know where the thread is, but I can give you a couple pointers.
Post on the cruise meet thread that you are willing to coordinate and have anyone interested contact you. You'll need names, ages of kids, cabin number.
Decide what the rules of your exchange will be:
One gift? Per cabin or per person? (usually each cabin gives a gift to each person. If there are 4 in your cabin, you do not deliver 4 gifts to each on the list, you deliver 1). Will you set a cost maximum? Will you make a schedule of when the gifts will be delivered or let each person deliver when they will?
Cut off date to sign up--this is important so people can plan/buy/pack the gifts they will be bringing.
Will there be a max number of cabins you'll allow on the list before you split it?
My suggestions--
Each cabin gives to each person (so you'll need kid and adult gifts)...or don't specify this. We've had some very nice "each cabin gives one gift to each other cabin" gifts. You can let each family decide how they want to handle this.
Cut off date 2-4 weeks before sailing.
Our best exchanges had about 25 cabins on the list; definitely in the 20-30 range. More than 30 gets to be just TOO MUCH--cost, time to deliver, etc. If the list hit 30 cabins, I'd split it into 2 groups of 15.
OK, post your final list (s) on line (no last names), about 2 weeks before you cruise. Then bring several extra copies with you to the Dis Meet on board (people will lose/forget them!)
At the Dis Meet, coordinate any cabin changes
It is helpful to post a dry erase board somewhere (your door or elsewhere) also listing any changes...
Some coordinators do things like printing/bringing color coded maps of the ship, indicating where each participating stateroom is located--really not needed IMHO. It IS helpful if your list is organized by cabin number because that's generally how they would be delivered.

We haven't decided on excursions....leaning toward Astrada (sp?) garden/zoo in Nassau and then just shopping in the straw market. My MIL went over spring break and got my dd the cutest bag from there.
The in CC we are just gonna snorkel and have a beach day. My dd and I may do the sting ray thing....not sure yet. Dh wants to parasail. But we may do that on the way back home...in Destin. We can all 3 do it in Destin. DD is too little to do it on CC. We are driving to FL from TX in one night, but we are gonna take 2-3 days/nites to go back home and stop along the way;)

:wave2: Hi Everyone,
For us, we have not fully decided on the excursions for Nassau. However, we are considering the submarine one (Maybe :confused3). Either that or just walk around close to the port and get back on. We have been there the last 5 times, we have gone. However, our kids love the sea life and fish, etc.. So we will see about that.
On CC, we are definitely doing the bike rides. We have done it before when dd was 2 years old. It will be interesting to go back under these circumstances with ds and dd. Of course, we will do the float rentals. So overall, we will just enjoy the beach and that will be it.
Of course, all of this is subject to change. I have paid the cruise in full and paid for airfare. We are DVC so we have the room reserved for the land portion prior to the cruise. We will more than likely just rent a car for the whole week. I am thinking that it cheaper. I also have the day room reserved at the Hyatt for our departure day since the flight leaves so late in the afternoon.
Again all things are subject to change so we will see. I am just excited that it is coming with all of these different pictures and videos coming about now.

We plan on using disney transportation from the airport to the Cruise..However we plan to stay in Orlando for 2 days after the cruise, so we reserved a rental car to pick up after the cruise..Hopefully all of this goes well:confused:
What level are some of you guys staying on?

Good Morning from chilly Texas...brrrr its abnormally cold here!!!!!!
As far as a seperate thread for the FE...it doesn't matter to me. Kedz and S's mom are y'all participating?
Deck Level...hmm? I'm sure I should know this...Is it on the emails I got? Let me check that out...
Before/After plans.....We are driving in on Wednesday night, staying at a Cocoa Beach hotel on Thursday night and then after the cruise, SLOWLY making our way back home along the gulf coast Tuesday-??? Dh and I are usually obsessive vacation planners so the last leg of our trip is very foreign to us. We are just gonna drive and play it by ear. The only stop we are for sure making is Destin. lol
Have a great day!

Its snowy here in Ky also. The kids are home for a snow day. Unfortunately my DD has some sort of a stomach virus, so this is not going to be a fun day for either one of us.
We are driving this trip. We always fly but for some reason plane tickets are outrageous for June. After the trip we're headed to Universal for 3 days. It'll be our first trip there. I'm sure its going to feel weird, and a little depressing, being that close and not going to Disney, but I'll be fine since I have 2 WDW trips between now and June.
Are any of you on Facebook? If so, PM me your info.

It's snowing, about 22 degrees here in Pa., cruise is really sounding wonderful! Schools were all cancelled today, looks to be about 4-6 inches of snow out there!
Welcome to all joining. June will be a wonderful time....last time my DH and I did the 3 day cruise on the Wonder in February (2009) and it was cold! So looking forward to sitting on the balcony and looking out over the ocean and the warm breeze!
We are on deck 6, both DH and I and my DD and her family.
Disney, Universal, it's all grand, that's for sure! Nice to see the group growing.

I am in, I just need more information on how it works. I have been looking online for information but I cant seem to find any that makes sense.
The way I understand it is:
Each person on this thread that wants to participate, let the coordinator know the following info:
*Cabin Number (when assigned)
*Number of people in cabin participating
*Sex/Age of the participants
Outside of each cabin door there is a fish (this is where Disney puts your 'mail') The 'fish extender' hangs from this fish. A fish extender is basically like a pocket organizer that is usually decorated cute!
The other people participating in the fish extender gift exchange will come by your cabin and leave you little gifts. You do the same for the others. So before your cruise you will need to buy/make gifts for the other participants.
As I understand it the gifts are small tokens that can be anything from candy to handmade ornaments. Anything goes basically. Its up to you do decide how eloborate you want your gifts to be.
The fish extender can be purchased on ebay or you can make your own. The ones on ebay I saw were personalized with each person's name. I am going to TRY to make my own....ha ha! We shall see.
I have gathered this information from reading these boards, please please please correct me if I am wrong. I have never participated in this before.

Wow!! Things have been busy here as well. With the snow (I mean ICE storm) that came through the Dallas area, it kept us indoors. I am looking forward to returning to work tomorrow. Gotta get out of the house. It did give me the time I needed to rest. At first, I was not feeling it, but then I realized that last week, was not a good week for me physically. But I am feeling so much better now. :thumbsup2
Yes, we will definitely be doing some decorating. I have the "badges" so far.
I figure that I will be back full force planning March 4. That is the day I can start making my reservations. So in the meantime, I will just popcorn:: and see.
I am still planning, and have decided to go to Universal Studios during our stay. It will be our first time there. :yay:

Yes, we got hit hard. We even got hit again this last week and was out AGAIN on Wednesday. Hopefully that winter weather is on vacation until next Winter :rotfl:.
Yes, I have book some books for my NookColor about Universal and it looks like it will be just what we are looking for. The only problem is our 2 year old will have limited things to do, but that is ok, we will just parent swap. So that helps. We are leaning more toward Island of Adventure because of the Harry Potter thing. My dd (8) has just started reading the books, so just being able to see it works for us.
It seems like 3/4 is so far away. I am ready to start planning online :rotfl:

Yeah, I've seen the tickets lately and rethinking my decision to drive. However, this time it'll just be me and DD and we will need 4 more days (2 there and 2 back) so I'm not sure. Time is money too and I want to truly relax. Can you put a price on relaxation?
We are doing the Dolphins at Atlantis and therefore have a beach pass for the remainder of the day. Last trip there, DD said she HAD to do the dolphins so, here we are....doing it as she requested. :goodvibes I'm going to hunt down the great conch fritter place and also stop by the rum cake store so I can get my groove on lol  At Castaway, we will bring our own snorkel equipment so we are good there. This time, I'm making sure the camera is completely charged so I can get all the good pics and videos underwater  And doing the jet skis, as well as renting a bike per DD request again
I am sad to say that I missed getting the Palo Brunch like DD requested. :sad1: There were absolutely NONE available. I settled for high tea (not that it compares at all). They didn't have the Teen Spa on the Wonder (of course) on our first cruise Christmas 2008. Figures, especially since DD was 16 and wanted to do that AND exercise, which she couldn't. That's one of the things I really like about DCL. They seem to have more adults-exclusive things. Something else you can't reserve in advance is the Tropical Rainforest Pass. I think she will like it. I loved it! :cloud9: And our last cruise, DH ended up getting one too once he found out how much I liked it :lmao: So, once we get on the ship, I'm already gonna be busy! Palo to get on the waitlist for brunch and the Spa to get Rainforest passes.
BTW everyone, a little tip for those of you braving the sandy beaches at either Nassau or CC. Take a little bottle of baby powder. Before you put your shoes or flip flops back on, dust some baby powder on your feet. It repels the sand and you don't get it in your shoes, stateroom, or anywhere else :woohoo:

I have made note of this. This is an awesome suggestion!! I am one that truly hates the feel of sand when I am no longer on the beach. Thanks..

I've gotten some really cute little things for the kid's FE. Have an idea for the adults...just something I'm making. Cute tho.

Big Decision for us this week. My DD11 just competed in a regional swim meet and did very well. She was invited to state developmental camp (yeah) but it is the the week we are suppose to be on the Dream. (boo)
So we need to decide...soon...if we are gong to cancel the Dream cruise. We have another cruise booked for this Christmas on a Royal Caribbean ship, so we may cancel and look forward to that cruise.

How I understand it and plan to do it....is to give one gift to the parents (one gift to share) and then something to each child. Just one time. Not each day. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

That is the problem, she wants to do the swim camp with her friends and I want to go on the cruise. :rotfl: We went a Disney cruise with one of her swim friends (who is now going to this camp) and her family two years ago and my DD was really disappointed they couldn't go this year. We do have the Allure of the Seas booked for December, DH is indifferent.

You give to everyone on the list I emailed...you can decide how to do so. For example, one gift per couple or one gift for the whole family or one gift per child, etc etc.
I am doing the following:
One gift per couple
One gift per child

Ditto!! Thanks Traci! I added my family's names too! This is going to be fun! Do we have any meets planned yet? It looks like we WILL be going on this cruise!!:cool1::cool1:
I would like to plan something on the first day so we can meet and introduce the hubbies and kids. I would like to organize a cabin crawl the first day if anyone is interested. We can start in our cabin...basically it is a way for everyone to see the different cabin types. We have an oceanview view 9A cabin that is forward facing. Our cabin is larger but a little awkward because of the sloped ceilings. I had NO idea what it looked like when I booked it. I booked it because it LOOKED bigger on the deck plan.
So, is any interested in a Cabin Crawl?

We had that problem with our return flight. The only flight on AirTran that was non-stop back to our home was at 7:59 PM. :scared1::scared1: but we only paid $72 pp.
We went ahead and kept it, but we did reserve a "Day Room" at the hotel at MCO. The cost was about 80 bucks but it will make things easier because we have the little one and we will have a place for him to burn off some energy, without running others over. ;)

Hi Michele...
I am the FE organizer. Basically what it is...is a gift exchange program. You hang a little thing outside of your stateroom door that holds your gifts. If you are interested in participating send me a PM with the names of your family members, ages of the kiddos and state room #. Also include your email address and I will email you the list.
Let me know if you have any questions!!

As for your Universal Ticket - check the boards on here for great deals on tickets. That's where I got ours last time for our Christmas trip and surprise cruise, through a link I found on there. Hey all ... we're on this cruise too. Bringing our DD (age 11 by 2 days) and DS (age 5).
First cruise, so I can book some excursions tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it.
Question: Did Disney change the age limit for the Oceaneer Club and Lab? When I made the reservation my DD was eligible for it, as she and her brother could have done that together. I even saw it on-line listing both of the eligible in my reservation. Today I see only my DS is eligible and that only children up to age 10 can participate. I'm guessing she'll not be able to do that with her brother (since she'll have turned 11 on Jun 15), but does anyone know for sure?
We're a 5 PM Show Time and 6 PM Dining.

My two are 2 (will be 3 on day 2 of the cruise) & 8. They are really good eaters especially the oldest one. I see that because he will not be 3, we will not have to purchase the DDP for my youngest one.
I am going to do what you said about checking the boards for the Universal tickets. We are only looking at Island of Adventures because my dh and ds are Superherofans, so even though the little one can not ride too much, he and I can go and "Be" in the surroundings. This will be while dh and dd ride the rides. :goodvibes Still are not sure which park to do at WDW, but we will figure that out later.
DVC is nice so far, although we have one event that I thought that it might not be worth it, but overall it is decent so far. Only time will tell with the rest. :rotfl2:
We did think about Driving, but because dh has to be back at work the day after we return. Well our flight gets in at 9 PM and he has to be up at 5 to go to work. Short turn around. :scared1:

Thanks, mom2reese. I'm feeling better today regarding this. When we checked-in/selected excursions today, after registering our DS for the club/lab, it gave the option of registering our DD for the lab. So we registered her, and printed the confirmation. All should be good now. Cheers.

We are doing the Harbor Cruise. Mostly because it was earlier in the day (10AM, I think), that way we can get back and hopefully take the plunge on the coaster. By the way I can not swim, but I heard that you really dont need to be able to. I mean I took lessons about 5 years ago,so at least I am ok with being in the water :rotfl2: Stranger, dd CAN swim :lmao: Last cruise we did the Discover Atlantis and loved it!!! DS was only 6 months old at that time, but Kelsey thought it was awesome. On Castaway Cay we are just doing the bike ride and renting the floats. I figured the bike ride would be relaxing a bit and we can see parts of the island not normally seen. Problem is: DD is not 100% a bike rider :confused3 So we can alot of practicing to do before we leave.
I would love to find out the movies being played. I suspect Pirates of the Caribbean 4 because it comes out in May (I think). Unfortunately, we will be just getting off the cruise for Cars 2 :sad2: These are just guesses, but I am up for anything :goodvibes
We also have late seating and that works for us mostly because we may eat too much during lunch and snacks :rotfl2: Also, I heard that they will come and get the kids from the second seating. Someone please chime in if they have any additional information about this.

All four of you for $288? That is ALOT cheaper!!!
The thing we are doing is just the aquariums...It's like $59pp and $39 for dd. I think we will stick with that, not sure the height requirements for the slides. Looked like fun tho.

I am really ready but now that it is April, I can take the slowing down a bit to get some things done for the trip
Glad to hear that y'all enjoyed the aquariums...I think dd will too. DD got a new bike for Christmas and has thoroughly enjoyed learning that new skill. ;) She's finally got the hang of it.
When does Cars 2 come out? One of my best memories is about when the original Cars came out. DH is a police man and was taking a test to become sgt. I was so nervous for him, I took dd to see that movie to keep my mind off of it. As soon as we were walking to our car from the theatre he called and told me he passed the test. lol just a good memory for our family!!!
I'm embarrassed to say I've never seen the Pirates movies...maybe I should before we leave! We got dd Tangled and watched it last night....VERY good! My favorite tho is still Princess and the Frog.

I saw something mentioned a few pages back about a group the young teen/ tween kids were in to get to know each other before the cruise. My DD is 13 and is very excited to meet some other kids before the cruise. Could someone please send me the info for this? Is this group just for girls? My son is 12. Not sure if he would be interested or not. Thanks! :)

My DD (10 and 12 when we sail) have been PM with several other girls that will be on board and are so excited every time I tell them they have a PM. They cannot wait until we are finally on board and they meet their new BFF's. I must admit I am a bit jealous but also relieved to know that if they have a great time with friends that means mom get's a relaxing vacation!!:woohoo: For anyone who wants their DD to speak with mine, just have them send a PM to me and I get the girls to respond.

Relax, relax, relax!! That is what I have planned. We are not doing any excursions. I plan on trying to do more of the on board activities (wine tastings, tequila tastings, etc) and just hanging in a deck chair soaking up sun thinking of nothing of any importance. My kids liked going to shops in Nassau for the free jewelry and I may need to pick-up a rum cake or two.:rolleyes1 Castaway is more relaxation, either in a lawn chair or a float.:cool2: I do have a massage planned the morning we are coming in to Nassau and DH and I are doing Palo brunch. I cannot wait!!:dance3:
Added: We are in room 8014 and have late dinner.

Okay guys....I hope you're ready to book your next sailing when we are all onboard in June! They always have specials, like 10% off and $100 on board credit....stuff like that. Disney just announced today that they will be adding the ports of Seattle, New York, and Galveston to itineraries beginning in September 2012!!:cool1::yay: They will also have a 15-day Hawaii itinerary. Being a Texan, I'm stoked about the Galveston itinerary - 7 days Western Caribbean (Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, and Cozumel). I know several others of you guys are in Texas as well :thumbsup2 but this itinerary is currently from September to mid-December 2012. Kind of a bummer with the kids being in school but they get a week off for Thanksgiving BUT DH works retail so...no Black Friday off for him :sad2: He's saying we should go without the kids. Personally, I think they will kill us if we do! :lmao:

We are booked for dolphins at Atlantis (my DD has been asking me to go since I went on my mommy trip with girlfriends in 2009). After the dolphin swim, I think we will relax and/or tour Atlantis. I reserved a cabana on CC, and Remy dinner and Palo high tea (not sure if I want to do both). And a spa treatment for the day at sea.

We may just grab a cab and go straight there in the morning. I have read jumping on Jitney #10 ($1.25) gets one there easier too. I think the admission is $15 per adult and $8 for kids.

We will have our DD (10 and 12) with us on the cruise. They are already in the process of making their new BFF's for the cruise so I know they are going to have a great time which automatically means I will have a great time. We received a bunch of fliers before we got off the boat in Nassau for jewelry stores you could go to and get a "free gift" with the flier. The were little trinkets but for my girls they thought it was great. I think I "splurged" an extra $10 to get matching earings to go with a silver pendant that had a light purple stone in it. I think you get more info if you attend a shopping seminar they have the day before.
Given what I've been reading about the pools, I am thinking this will be the best day (other than Castaway) to not be a pack of sardines in the pool - not that my kids care. Our past Wonder cruises that's what they looked like.
I think it's soo funny so many of us have rooms close together. My kids, of course, think this is the best thing ever.

Lolita, Too funny... my DD12 thinks this is awesome too!
So, sounds like we have some karoake in line too! :cool1::woohoo: Did I read about some taste testing too? We did the martini tasting on our last magic cruise. We went with two other couples from the DIS and had a great time!!:yay::dance3: Anyone interested?:rolleyes1

I am all in for anything that ends in "tasting"!!:rolleyes1 It is on my "to do" list to sign up for them once I get on board. I do not sing but I will be there to cheer anyone on!!:rotfl2:

I found this thread where someone scanned their navigators from a recent 4 day cruise. :cool1:
It looks like family karoake is on the sea day at 6:45. I didn't look close enough to see if they had it any other day. Also on the sea day is
1:30 Wine Tasting
3:30 Martini tasting
and
6:45 Karoake
I would prefer to do the martini again. But I will do either. I think the cost was $25 a person, it was A LOT of fun. Everyone was engaged and really entertaining.:rotfl: I know that it does fill up so one would have to sign up the first or second day onboard.
Well, after wine and martini tasting I can't wait to hear the singing!!:rotfl2:

Any recommendations to bring for sea sickness? My DH got sick on an Alaskan cruise. Anyone tried ginger root?
We took Bonine and had no problems. :thumbsup2 The girls and I started taking it the day before as I wanted to be 100% certain it was in our system. We were fine, husband - who was stubborn and waited until that morning - was a little light headed  at the first dinner, but ok the rest of the time. It does not cause any drowsiness - I came to relax, not sleep!

:rotfl:We are choosing either or. There was/is a whiskey tasting at 2:30 as well, I didn't think we wanted that one. :rotfl2:
I too will be cheering on the Karoake.

I do have to say I only sing in the car, but after all that tasting who knows what I will do :rotfl2:
Sounds like we are in for some good times Ladies;)

You beat me to the Bonine! :thumbsup2 Def start taking it a few days before. You don't need a prescription. I get car-sick but funny thing is I don't get sea sick or air sick any more. Weird... I brought all sorts of seasickness remedies and didn't use any of them. Ginger chews, pickled ginger (I can eat a jar of that!), wristbands...everything. There are some downsides to the patches. Can't drink alcohol with them (not a problem if it's for your kids lol), dry mouth, drowsiness...I'm with Langegang on that one-I came to relax, not sleep!
I currently have the Del Sol nail polish on!! :cool1: You can buy it online if you don't have a store near you.
As for the tastings, I'd love to do one but since it's me and DD only, and she's only 18, I may have to pass :sad1: The martini one sounds great though.
When DD and I went to do karaoke (she was 16 at the time) it was late one night. I'm certain they would have more than one karaoke time...
Now I'm debating driving vs. flying....again. :sad2:

I had to have two drinks before I did it! :rotfl2: I used to only sing in the car. Friends have dragged me to karaoke since then so now it's a little easier :goodvibes
I'm very excited to meet all the families:yay:
Has anyone ever been apart of the game shows they have for the families?

Traci - I got this waterproof camera:
Fujifilm FinePix XP10 12 MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Green)
I love it for the waterpark. You can search online, I saw it on Amazon, I got mine from Costco about a year ago. Takes great underwater photos, but I love it for the pool. :cloud9:

Good morning all!:grouphug:
I thought it would be a good idea if we started a tween and teen meet thread. This might be a good idea for the kids to get to know each other.
My DD11 (almost DD12) just left for school, but I will get her to post on here when she gets home today.
