I took him to the vet today because he was not eating. It turns out he has a viral infection and a sore on his tongue is making it painful to eat. So he's on antibiotics. The vet said to get baby food meat or canned cat food, something soft so it doesn't hurt when he eats. Well, it's working because he is eating it. He just looks so sad. I feel so bad for him. :( So if you could send a little pixie dust this way, we sure would appreciate it!

Of course, Michelle...
I have been through every kind of cat malady imaginable, from fleas to cancer, allergies to kidney failure. They get what we get and it's so hard to see them go through it because they can't talk!
Give that furbaby lots of love and comfort. He just has to get through this mess, and you, too!

Sending tons of PD that way!!
One caution on the baby food -- make sure it's one that doesn't have onion in it because onion is bad for cats.

Poor Kittybaby! I am glad that you got him to the vet and they were able to give him medicine. Hope he is back to his frisky self soon. I hate when my kitties get sick... it is so sad, and I always feel so helpless.

Thanks everyone. He does seem to be doing a little better today. He ate some of his canned food and seems a little bit more perkier (is that a word?) And he actually cleaned himself today which he hadn't done in a couple days because of his sore tongue.

Hey Robin! That cat looks JUST LIKE Chloe! (My male cat with the female name :) When we got him we thought he was a girl and by the time we realized he was a boy the name stuck :o ) But anyway.....that's what he looks like! :)

Awesome! My cat Rambo looked just like that, too, and I always posted that pic whenever he came home from the doctor, which was OFTEN!
BTW, my sister, whose name is Michelle also, has a FEMALE cat with a boy's name, Bosworth, after Brian Bosworth. I guess you two should switch, huh? ;)
