MK Fireworks from Poly?

I can't believe I talked my DH into staying at the Poly in Dec.! I know next to nothing about this resort except that when I rode through on the monorail in 1978 I knew I wanted to stay there sometime in my life (I'm really not kidding). My DD is not a fireworks fan and I was wondering if you can see the MK fireworks (especially for MVMCP) from the beach at the Poly? Also is the Electrical Water Parade still running and if so does it run in Dec.? Thanks.:)

Oh my, yes you can see the fireworks from the Poly beach. The El. Water parade is every night at 9:00 weather permitting year round unless the fireworks happen to be at 9:00 in which case it begins about one beat after the fireworks end. Magical!!

Oh you can also watch thefireworks from the lounge inside the GCH. Incase the weather gets too cool to watch from outside.

My sister and I had dinner at Ohana one night when we stayed at the Poly. We called for priority seating and were right next to the window. Although you are far away, the fireworks are still wonderful. We had an excellent dinner - and I'm always a sucker for fireworks!

The MK fireworks are awesome from the beach! My DW and I didn't think of it at the time, but they would probably be just as great -- and a bit more private -- from the tip of the point there (Sunset Point?)

Not only can you see the MK fireworks from the beach at Poly but if you are in the pool (Volacno) when they go off, go underwater! They have an underwater sound system that enables you to hear what the guests are hearing at the MK! It's awesome!:cool:
