HI,
So we finally did the numbers and we are going to do a Grand Villa at AK for our wedding next year!! I cannot find any photos of Kidani's. If anyone has any photos or feedback I would love to see and hear about it. Thank you:cool1:

Hi,
we stayed in a Grand Villa at Kidani last August, it's really beautiful.
My sister will try and post pictures later tonight.
I also would like to see these pictures. We are in a Grand Villa at OKW for this Oct. but are going to try and switch at the 7 mo. window to the Grand Villas at Kidani Village. We toured one the last time we were there. We just went to the front desk and ask and they had a guide show is the one they had open at the time...smjj

I hope this helps! I think I have more but I don't remember if they came out too dark or not. I had pictures of the master and the second bedroom upstairs. Loved the layout and it was very spacious and comfortable!
ENJOY!

Nice pictures tiggersgirl!
Did the second story of the GV have outside access or only the first floor?

Yes! Each bedroom upstairs had it's own balcony and you could look down on the others below.

Don't remember the the room number but I remember it being close to the elevator, underground parking and steps away from the bus stop! it was great! Especially with little kids when we were trying to get to the parks and dining reservations!

And on second thought, yes there was a door in the upstairs loft area that lead to the hallway, right at the top of the stairs.
So there was a separate entrance from the from the first floor's main doorway.
Came in handy while sneaking out from the little ones who THOUGHT they wanted to hit Downtown Disney late at night! :goodvibes

You're welcome!
Glad you enjoyed the pictures! We have pictures of the
Jambo House Grand Villa also if anyone wants to see them.
It might be nice to have both on one thread, makes it easier to compare.
As far as too much togetherness...I plead the 5th!
We (my 2 sisters and I) travel once a year around August with our parents, nephew, niece and little foster brother. It's a challenge, but we make it work.
Then my sisters and I try to go in October for Food & Wine and Halloween. That's when we get to relax and just enjoy being at Disney without the finger-pointing, tattling, and temper tantrums (and that's just the parents!) :goodvibes

Great pictures!
Have a question about the bedrooms and beds! How many beds are in each bedroom? We are going to be staying in a Kidani Grand Villa in December. It'll be 2 familys. Mom and Dad in each family, one grandma of one family and 4 girls 16,14,12 and 11 years old. Is there one bedroom with 2 beds, so all the girls can sleep together?

Hi,
Here's the bed set up:
On the first floor there's a queen size sofa bed in the living room. There's a full size bath off of the foyer for anyone sleeping on the sofa bed.
The Master Bedroom is on the first floor also and it has a king size bed and it's own bathroom.
In the loft, there's a sofa bed, full size if I remember correctly, you may be able to tell better from the picture.
The loft is in the middle of two bedrooms and each have 2 beds, full size, I'm thinking and each room has it's own bathroom.
Looks like that will be enough room for all of you! :yay:

Thank you so much for posting!! I'm sure you had such a great time there. And since you mentioned you have stayed at both Grand Villas would you mind giving your opinion on both. We're stuck as to which one to try and book. We would be a party of 10 so do you think the Kidani would be better since it's more spread out?

To the poster (tiggersgirl I think?) who offered to share pics of the Jambo House Grand Villa - I, personally, would love to see them. Especially to be able to compare with the Kidani GV. If you're willing, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be grateful! :-)
Thinking ahead to my 40th next year . . . perhaps a AKV Grand Villa is in my future? :-)

Hi,
Well that's a really hard question for me to answer.
I love them both for different reasons.
Kidani is 2 a story, that would work really well if you want space between people, different families, kids on one floor, adults on another. I like that it has a loft, in case you want to watch television while the kids are asleep.
I feel that you are able to have a little more privacy if you choose with a Kidani Grand Villa.
At Jambo House, their Grand Villas are 1 story.
So it's nice and long, some even have a pool table!
Jambo House GVs are nice if you have older adults who don't wish to climb stairs or if you have little kids who do!
I like the dining room table at Jambo House which is long and rectangular as opposed to Kidani which is round.
You can probably fit more people at the table at Jambo House.
The Master Bath at Jambo House is spectacular! It has a walk in closet and a mounted televison!
As I stated before, at Kidani, there is a separate entrance upstairs in the loft area if you wish to come and go as you please.
At Jambo House, there's a separate entrance also and almost a whole other wing.
There's a door off of the kitchen that you can close.
Through that door would be a hallway. On the left side is a bedroom with 2 beds, the bathroom across the hall.
A couple of steps past these two rooms on the right is a short hallway leading to the lobby, another few steps continuing on from the main hallway is another bedroom with 2 beds and with a bathroom IN the room.
The best part, to me of the Jambo House Grand Villa, are the balconies.
There are 3 HUGE circular ones. One off of the Master Bedroom, one off of the living/dining room, and one that's shared by the 2 bedrooms off of the kitchen.
I'll have my sister post pictures of them.
I love both of them, but I'm a 2 story kind of girl, my 2 sisters like the 1 story. My mom likes the 1 story because of huge bathroom.
The only other tangibles I can think of would be the restaurants. There are 3 at Jambo, the Mara, Jikos and Boma and only one in Kidani, Sanaa.
Tiggersgirl:
Thanks for sharing your pictures. We are currently booked for 6 nights at OKW in a GV HH area which is our home resort. We plan on trying to switch to Kidani at out 7 month window. We took a quick tour when the wife and I were there in Oct. of last year but your pictures help to drive home the fact that we are making the right move in switching. I love OKW but with a large family and many being small kids my wife and kids think this is the resort to stay at. Again thanks for the pictures...smjj

Another view of the living room. The orange chair is a bed. That foyer was huge! To the right was another huge bath with shower and the laundry room was across from the bathroom.

Hallway leading back to two additional bedrooms. I loved this because there was also a separate entrance to get into the villa. Also, you could close the door in between the two rooms for privacy. Each bedroom has its own bathroom...

I hope you enjoy the photos! I'm the sister that LOVED the Jambo House Grand Villa! I liked everything all on one floor, being close to the restaurants and bus transportation and I just absolutely love walking through the Zawadi Marketplace after a long day at the parks!

OH wow - I loved those pics too! Thanks for sharing those too.
They both look really nice, but that pool table would definitely do it for me. I knew that they had them over in Jambo (they have them out in CA at the VGC too), but hadn't actually seen pics of one. And those rounded balconies look really cool.
Someday...
