Need ideas for shore excursions

for my family! We are doing the 4 day Wonder on Nov. 17th and need to know what would be a good excursion for all of us. I have 4 adults (2 are grandparents) and my hubby and I along with our 3 kids ages 9 girl, 7 boy and 3 boy. Anything we should definitely do in Nassau and Freeport???
Please give me some ideas! Also I have read about booking excursions beforehand. How do you do that? Is it something that you have to do??? We have never sailed Disney before so pre-booking excursions is new to us...we usually do the mad dash around the ship trying to get the excursions we want before we do anything else!
ANY Info would be greatly appreciated!

I think once you have paid in full, you can do this ahead of schedule, but i think I have read some posts that say you do this around the 60 day mark. I can't remember, but I think i did it out further than that.

Anyhow that said, I personally didn't care for Freeport, and wouldn't get off the ship there. I have read good things about Blue Lagoon. I am going to get a room at Atlantis this October and check out what that facility has to offer.
