Universal doesn't offer anything like ME. You could use the Mears Shuttle, not sure of the cost. They also run between Universal and Disney. Guess your other options would be a taxi or towncar service. We always rent a car so not sure what other options there are.
We always use a towncar service and will agian this year.
We like the towncar instead of the shuttle because you don't have to share the ride with others its just your party and its a little higher but worth it if you use the right service.

Us too. Love the car service.
Another plus with the car service is that many also offer a free grocery stop so you can pick up snacks, soda, bottled water, etc. if you want.

We are going to do Universal Studio next year when we go since Harry Potter will be open. We stay at AKL. How much is this Town Car service you guys are talking about. We have both flown and drove. Instead of flying we are thinking about driving so we have the car to drive. But if they town car service isn't that much we may think about it.

Not sure if one can mention names here, but we used a town car service in December (first letter S last Y). They required cash, but great rates: $100 for airport transfers, $70 for a ride to Disney and back (we were staying at PBH). For the latter, they dropped us off at the new Bay Lake Towers; from there a short walk to MK. We were attending MVMCP and called when ready to return; they picked us up within 20 minutes.
The advantage over cabs - same rate regardless of traffic; more room; 30 minute grocery stop; some great advice from our driver; no worries trying to find a cab.
I would take the town car option regardless of who provides the service. They were waiting for us at the airport, were on time for our return trip, and had clean vehicles.

We took a limo from the airport...the service was recomended by the HRH when we inquired. It was the fastest I had ever gotten from the airport to the resort and well worth it for the convenience.:thumbsup2

we used www.happylimo.com and had a great experience. www.mousesavers.com will have a discount code for round trip airport transfers. Good luck.

http://www.mearstransportation.com/ has a taxi fare estimator that shows $32.45 from Universal to MCO. I know that when we compared the price for 2 of us to use a shuttle, it was almost the same as a taxi, so we just got a taxi for the convenience.

If the same company I used last year I would suggest not letting the driver take your luggage to the car because he is in a hurry cause he will get someone elses in the rush and they want to charge you another round trip to go back to get the right one and big thanks to the manager at RPR for going on his own time taking back the other suitcase and getting the right one and not to mention all he charged was $3.40 for the toll

They have taxi vans that easily fit 5.
We used them to go between US & Sea World. Had 6 people in the taxi & had room to spare. Not sure which would be cheapest, as we've always taken a car service from the airport to the resort, but someone else will probably be able to answer that.

Yep ~ it's $15/day. One of the reasons we've never opted for a rental car. Between the gas, the tolls, & the parking fees, the cost can really add up.

We just got back and the price was just under $50, not including tax.
It was $57 to get there. No idea why.

That makes the Taxior Car service even more appealing !!! Anyone know if taxis will stop for groceries !!! Wait a minute of course they would and prolly take you to the furthest one :rotfl2:
