View Full Version : The best news of my life!~

Well...Arthur and I have been planning our wedding for sometime...and the only time that worked with both of our school/military schedules was RIGHT after my graduation next year! So..this meant that I graduate, get commissioned in the Air Force as a 2nd Lt. get married the following weekend, go to Disney for 10 beautiful days, and then I had to take right off to my first duty station while he stayed back in State College to finish up his education (he is prior military and decided to get out to get his degree...) and then catch up with me, which could take more than a year..and we already did two years apart when he was in Japan finishing up his 9th year in the Marines...well...found out THIS MORNING that instead of him having to finish up his degree here, he is going to be able to pack up with me and move with me to OUR first home!!! We arent going to have to be separated our first year of marriage!!!! YIPPIE!!!!! I was about to cry when i found out that Arthur's advisor was able to use some extra schooling from the military to apply as credits and that the extra credits he needs to graduate can be taken through Penn State's distance education program...WOW!! I am SO EXCITED!!! :) Just wanted to share with everyone. YEAH!!!!!!!

I can't imagine thinking about starting a marriage living a part. Good luck and have fun in WDW for 10 days. What a great place to spend your honeymoon.

P.S. Welcome to the CB, I don't think I've seen you post here before, but, I may have missed it. Well, welcom anyway.

Thanks everyone! Nice to meet you TC..I have posted a few times on the CB..but most of my posts are in the Disney Planning section. ;) Its hard to keep up with posts here in the CB..after an hour or so, topics are thrown to the bottom and on to the next page to be lost forever! hahahahah! Next May is going to be a very busy time, but it is all very exciting and I am quite ready for it..i am so anxious I need something to do...maybe I will go running or do some yoga...hahahah thanks again everyone!!!!

That's wonderful! DH and I were separated for a while before our marriage when he was in the Army and it was misery. So glad you don't have to endure that!!

Wow everyone is so nice! thanks so much! i showed this thread to Arthur when he got home from work, and he smiled real big and said that everyone was wonderful and that he cant believe it is actually going to work out beautifully. We were separated before this for just about 2 years, then he moved here and we have been together for awhile, and then the thought of separating was just too much...i went away this past week, and being apart was TERRIBLE!! God bless cellphones and a national calling plan..hahahah! So, yes, it is so exciting and I can COMPLETELY look forward to everything we have and not have to dread the separation that we had been faced with for so long. yeah! thanks again everyone...you all are so sweet. :)
