What kind of rate are you getting?

Will both the adults be driving? Unless I get a smashing rate at Alamo or others, I am probably going to go with National since spouses are covered if you belong to their Emerald Club. Saves us $10 a day for the additional driver fee. My 10-day trip in May is looking like US$275 all in for a mid-size car. Hope to bring that down a little.

I found this code DIS Budget code the best for March 13 the best.

Discount rate code Y937800

If costco member I was getting a good rate with Alamo, but decided to do 2 1 way rentals.

I booked our car rental on Hotwire.com - they don't tell you the agency until after you book. We got a mid-size car from Hertz for $11.95 per day. We are there - April 24-May2 and total cost with taxes was $155. I also booked one night hotel at the airport (Sheraton Suites) for $58 through Hotwire.com.:dance3:

Pretty good rates with Thrifty using the Orlando Magic Card corporate code. This includes a free additional driver also.

Click on the Thrifty link.

This is the best rates I'v found and my dates are fairly close to yours. The coupon for $30 off is not shown on the total so that will be taken off later.

I got a minivan for $341 (8 days) through a Wholesaler here..unlimited mileage w/Dollar. That seems ok?

Just make sure you read the fine print. I was all set to book with Dollar last year until I read (and later confirmed) that unlimited miles didn't apply if I was taking the car into the U.S.

ones thro hotwire, would there be a chance that we have to shuffle to outside of the terminal to pick up and return the car ? that sounds like a lot trouble with 2 young kids..

Don't know about pick up...I put in airport pick up but you're right if shuttle to pick up could be troublesome...or one parent stays back while the other picks up car.

Just booked a week Mar 3-10..anyone seen any good deals on rental cars?

Thanks!!!!:)

I got a car rented for this December (Dec 19-Jan 2) with Budget for $560.00 and that is for a premiun car. I checked your dates and you can get a full size car for $169 a week plus taxes or a premium car or van for $225.00 plus taxes. The code is X474200 and if you use the coupon code MUWZ023, you will get an additional $25.00 off. I got this off the Transportation DisBoards. I think that it is a great rate, but there may be better deals. Always try last minute specials, especially with Alamo. I got a convertible last November using that method for $30/day and applied a $25.00 coupon on top of that

Hmmm and the $25 coupon is applied at time of rental right? With that, it might be better than what I have booked here, have to do some CAD to USD conversions....it says tho that coupon eligibility is checked ? Do you know where the coupon is from?

THANKS!! Good rates!:thumbsup2

On my reservation, it says that they will take off the $25.00 when I pick up the car. Not sure where the coupon is from. It also said that I dd not need a paper confirmation for it. Check out the transportation board. There was a rental discount thread there a few days ago.I always relied on Mousesavers rates but there are some ones on here that are not on Mousesavers. Good Luck!

Okay, I will look for the thread...thanks again!! Looks like we will go with this one as the other renta I securedl was good...but there were to be added fees at time of check in and I am not always confident that they won't be more than they said they will be!

Apprreciate the tip!!:)

I just cut my rental in half using some of the codes and coupons listed on mousesavers website, specifically for Alamo.

None of the Alamo ones came close for my rentals..
I have 2 vehicles (1 minivan---1 full size) booked for a week (Mar 3-10) for under $450 USD ...so I'm happy!!
