Im starting to panic now.
Was going to post passports renewls off at the 4 week mark, but everytime I take them to the post office there is something wrong with them !!
Now they are defo going tomorro and im 100% they are right, the problem is that leaves only 3 weeks for them to turn up.
We are using chea
check and send which says 2 weeks turn around but thats not gteed.
The next issue is one of them is a new passport for a 9mth old, we have looked at the forms again and it takes upto 6 weeks
Anyone had the passports back quickly recently?

I wouldn't worry too much. My DBF renewed his passport last year and it was back within a week. I'm not sure about your baby's passport though, you might want to ring them and see if they can process it quicker (maybe for a charge).

As previously said, I would still enquire about your infant's passport.

You should be fine, I sent mine and my partners renewals plus my little boys first passport off and got them back in one week. I sent them check and send. When you give them to the person at the post office ask them to put them all in one envelope then they will be dealt with together.
The good thing about check and send is they go straight to the scanning part of the process rather than being checked over by a real person so it is so much quicker.
I am sure it will be fine, try not to worry.

I would 2nd check and send for speediness! It's definately worth the few extra pounds. I had to get my then 7 month old little boys and hubbys renewal done last April and had both back just 6 days later!!! If you're really worried you can do them in person I think in Newport (not sure where you are so whether that's close or not!) but not sure you can with a baby. In my experience baby ones have taken no longer than adult renewals though so I'm sure you'll be fine, especially as it's not peak time!
We renewed our kids passports recently (end of Jan), we sent them off and got one back in a week & the other the following week. This was all done on the standard service.

You should be ok, but it depends how busy the passport office is etc.
My DD had a slight problem with hers due to us having different surnames but hers turned up a week after mine. I think we waited 3 weeks for ours and mine was a renewal and hers was a first passport.

When we went January last year I was panicking as DIL still hadn't sent the applications for the twins renewals and GD's first passport off at the beginning of December! She used the check and send thing at the post office, gave them to the post office on the Monday, they were processed and issued on the Tuesday and they were delivered back on the Wednesday - very impressed with the turnaround, but think we were very very lucky. Although they were all sent together they were delivered by 2 seperate guys - at the same time:confused3 We weren't expecting them to be dealt with so quick but they actually issued them on the twins birthday:thumbsup2
