Are there special activities on Castaway Cay for 6 year olds? I had seen pictures of what appeared like a Captain Hook adventure. Does that exist? If so, it isn't listed in the "excursions" available.
All thoughts appreciated.... Paul

WELL, my daughter wasn't really in the club long enough on Castaway Cay.. We dropped her off, and within 20 minutes, she paged us and was CRYING.. She NEVER cries when we leave her. She was very unhappy and BORED and they weren't DOING anything "fun" to her.. And I repeat, my daughter is VERY outgoing and friendly and not shy in the slightest.. For that matter, she hated the clubs on the ship as well. She was in the CLUB, not the lab. Next time she'll be old enough for the lab and I think she'll enjoy herself more there since they do more things that she likes to do at home ( computers, vidoe games, etc..) Ya know the pictures you've all seen of the big Captain hook slide in the club? Looks like a giant boat in there? She never got to play on it one time. I guess she wasn't there when they did that, but she hated it and only went when I forced her ( I MADE her go a few times HOPING she'd LIKE it and want to go back on her own.. NEVER happened) It was too "organized" for her. She wanted FREE time to just play. And also, when they had certain activites, she told me there was once she didn't want to play, just watch. But they made her participate anyways. She said they made EVERYONE whether they wanted to or not.. I for one wasn't impressed or real thrilled with their kids clubs if you couldn't tell already. I hear everyone rave about how FUN they were for their kids, and I have high hopes NEXT time will be better, My daughter will be 8 1/2 then, and I'll keep praying for it to be better. She already has told me she won't go to the clubs next year, I told her she WILL try and she can make her own friends this time and she'll enjoy herself more.. We'll see, huh. Hopfully there will be other girls her age she LIKES, or we're trying to get her cousins to go with us, too..Here's hoping.
Hi Paul! The kids activites at Castaway Cay are coordinated through the Oceaneer's Lab and Club, so as long as your children are in the Club, they'll participate in activites on the island. Among the activities is a "dinosaur dig" at Monstro's Point. There are also activities for you to enjoy with your children including bicycle and float rentals.
Thanks,
Mop

My daughter (5 at the time) loved being in the club on CC. Especially the dig. I took her out for a while so she could go snorkeling. She had lunch with us and got to dance with Goofy.
