I just booked a week at the AKL for November and am super excited.... Now I do not know if I can wait till November. So I am trying to persuade my wife into going for the kids march break. If I recall traditionally our March break has been on a different week than that of our American friends. So my question is this.... What are the crowds like on the week of March 15th?
Please let me know... I need my Disney fix. I was supposed to go in April for a work confrence but my postion just got "shuffled" so now new job title and no longer a trip to Orlando.

it appears that March 15 to 29th is most popular .... other than Easter. I've never been there in March ... until this year!

I see that you are from North Bay so I went to the Near North DSB website and your March Break for this year is March 15 to 19. Good luck with the convincing!

We have gone over March break several times but the parks were very crowded. There is a lot to do without going to the parks but if the parks are your reason for going, wait till November before American Thanksgiving.

I love going for march break!!!:lovestruc
The weather is perfect, the crowds are NOT that bad.
We didn't go last march break but did the one before and it was totally do able.
It's not like christmas, now that is crazy!! Also we thought May long weekend time frame was wayyyy busier than March break.
Alot of the states have their march break tied into easter (apr2-4) so break times vary and spreads it out.
It will be busy, but not crazy and that makes it fun.
Find some cheap airfare and talk her into it I say!!!
C U There!!

We went in mid March three years ago and it was just fine. We toured the parks using TGM strategies and the longest wait we had for anything was 10min.

Thanks for everyones feedback. The debate is over...... We are not going in March we will wait for November. We are staying at AKL and I priced out switching it to March and it would have increased our price by about $1500.00
As much as I need my fix I will have to wait.

Casper, I have been the last 7 years for March Break and have NEVER seen a 10 minute wait except for the first rides of the morning and the odd fastpass. It certainly isn't like Christmas or Easter (except 2 years ago when March Break was at Easter!!). But it is busy.....manageable but busy if you know how to maneuver the parks and work the fast passes.
Good choice waiting until November. We're headed there March Break but decided to give Sea World and Aquatica a try this year and skip the Disney crowds.
Hope it warms up!!

I can only say what I experienced. We rode everything we wanted several times, mountains and fantasyland rides at MK, Soarin in Epcot, TSM in HS, etc. We don't wait in lines. If we had to, DH wouldn't go. I've used Tourguide mike since our first trip and we plan parks and touring plans to do what we want several times without waits. We've been during August free dining 2006, March Break 2007, July 2008 and President's Week 2009. While many others waited in lines, we didn't. Our longest line of all trips was 20min once at Jungle Cruise because they didn't have FP available. That March Break we did only MK and Epcot because it was only a 5 day visit and we didn't wait anymore than 10min tops for anything.
