Delaware News Journal says:

Round 2: Nor'easter may dump another 18 inches

Soooooo, I asked at work yesterday if I can have a couple of hrs vaca time to get in, since DH will be working till 8a and I have to be in at 7a. He drives a suburban w/4wd in this weather, I have a honda... Anyway, DH's dept doesn't ever have a prob with those kind of requests. They know how to be flexible. My dept said no. Why? Because there is a storm coming and they won't approve the vaca. SO, there goes my perfect attendance for the year, as I will be late. Unless the hospital (not the state...we are EXPECTED to get into work even if the state calls a state of emergency and says to not drive), the HOSPITAL has to call it a a state of emergency. THEN you get 2hrs to get your butt in the door for your shift w/o penalties.

DH said he has something up his sleeve, so I'll wait and see what he is thinking... but I'm still miffed with my !@#$% boss!!

Deb, I think you're coming down with something, cough cough...(I'm assuming you get sick time?)

It's Tuesday and I'm not working! We are expected to get 6-10 inches tomorrow, but it isn't supposed to start until "around the morning commute." Lovely...Princess has a half day, so they probably won't cancel school. I hate the thought of her on a bus in the snow, so I may just keep her home, but then I have to bring her to work with me, and it's 6 of one half dozen of another, because I hate driving in it too! Decisions, decisions.

Anyhow, I've got a list a mile long today.

PrincessM up, fed, dressed, bus
Change beds
Wash sheets
Sort other laundry
Wrap Morgan's and Sophie's Valentine's presents
Sheets in dryer/continue other laundry
Laptop - back up pictures and projects onto EHD
Start taxes on other program
Deposit slip for cookie booth $
Fold and put away sheets/keep chugging away at other laundry
Pay Bills
Cards
Baby Book
Swap - Unfortunately, not priorities - the other things on the list are :(
Grocery store
Bank
Lunch
Cards
Baby Book
Swap - Unfortunately, not priorities - the other things on the list are :(
Laundry still?

Dinner
Dishes

Danica, what is the Jeopardy College Test? Are you trying to be on the show?

I hope everyone has a good day and stays safe and warm.

Morning ladies.

Well my list is sooooo long and I won't get anything done because
I have my federal audit going on this week. And it's board meeting
week as well. I'm wishing it was Friday already. Got tons on
my list and don't know when or how to get it done.
We have bubbas party on Saturday. I need to finish up with
some of that stuff. He has another party the next day. I need to get
a gift for that. I have no vd gifts for my boys yet. I need to do that.
I like to make the teacher a vd gift. Not done. Bubba said last night
that we have not seen uncle in 2 weeks. My sisters husband that is sick.
and house bound. I said I know buddy but we got lots of stuff to do.
To which he replied.... Yes muma I know but uncle d can't leave the
house and he really needs people to visit him. He sick muma. Let's go see
him and bring him a shake. Everything else can wait. :)
now I know he is right, but why did it take him to say that foe me to get it.
My bil has to be feed but can drink a shake and bubba knows that how?
Because he does not miss a trick. And he listens. And he is a caring little boy.
I am so lucky.

Soy lesson here is ( from an almost 8 year old) take the time because
somehow everything will get done!

Have a GOOD day everyone.

Danica, what is the Jeopardy College Test? Are you trying to be on the show?

It's the test to possibly be on the show sometime in the next year (for the College Tournament, which I think is going on now?)

I doubt I'll do very well, because I'm not so good at sports (which is a big part of the College Tournament), but hey, why not try if it gets me out of work early? :rotfl:

Deb - New car? :dance3: One can dream!

Holly - You have the best kid ever - which means that he was raised by a great mom!

Good luck on your test, Danica. You're a smart kid, you'll probably just know that stuff from "knowing" it.

Got a couple things done already. I needed my word this morning with my girly. Now I feel bad :(

That is one smart little kid! It took me til I was fifty to develop that kind of awareness of other's needs. <blush>

OK here it is - the good the bad and the ugly:

Up at 5:15
Gym by 6:10 Weighed. I'll be frank. 219.5. I'm thrilled. Why? Because I started out at 267 last January. Because my Aic is now 5.2 instead of 7.9. Because I FINALLY broke 220 and have been below it every weighing since the first of last week, which means it's a good number.

27 minutes on the recumbant cross trainer.
40 minutes work out in the pool

Shower, hair wash, groceries, post office and home by 8:30 for breakfast.

You, too, can do it! Good luck and have a great day!

S-L-O-W-L-Y.

I decided to make it Mementos and Milestones on each page. Each will have a place for a 5x7 photo, an envelope, and a spot for "milestones." I forgot how tedious the Sizzlits alphas were. Too small to cut with the Cricut well, so this is how they will look. I've got one down eleven to go ;)

http://i412.photobucket.com/albums/pp203/stampinupwithjennifer/DSC_0185.jpg

My list is coming along. My Rezzum Frezzum computer froze while I was backing up, but it's finally done. I need to shower and hit the grocery store before all the (other) crazies get out there. Here's hoping for no school tomorrow!

God - I hate those school special ed meetings! Even the "good" ones are so draining. It is over and we're back home now - changes will be made to DDs ed plan, but relatively minor ones we can support. I had to be much more forceful than I am used to, though, as one (new, but old, if you know what I mean) teacher just wasn't on the same page. (She seems to be used to getting her own way, but I wasn't backing down and the other teachers weren't leaping up to support her either.)

Walk the dog now - shake out the stress! - and then watch for purple mail...!

Also, lovely baby page, Jennifer! I'm scraplifting your baby book/page idea and using those ACM pre-printed "month" pages you show for the next baby book I'm doing (for one of DS' teachers). The last baby scrapbook I did was similar, but I designed each of the monthly pages myself with titles, major embellies, etc. Took frickin' forever and the couple I gave it to just attended our Super Bowl party and said that...ahem...it is great, but they haven't gotten around to putting ANYTHING in it yet. GRRRRRRRRR! So, all those "monthly milestone" journal boxes and photo mats I made for them 11 months ago - empty! I'm going the easier route this time! Thanks for the tip!!!! :thumbsup2

That's a Sizzix die from SU.

Thanks for the compliments, Pam. I wish I could say I was breezing through them, but I'm sooooo AR! Even without embellishments, I over-think it! I'm at heart a very very simple scrapper. I like card stock and paper ;)

02-09-2010, 01:38 PM
I'm a paper gal myself. I hate to cover the pretties.

Your page looks nice. :cloud9:

Okay, I have 1 CJ done. 1 more to go. I have all the blankets cut to length, squared up and corners cut. Now to cut the fringe. :scared: That part takes the longest I think. Little Bit got "tired" less then one side of making the fringe pretty. :rotfl2: I think Mom is going to do even more work than she thought.

Well all the flights are in the air and while they all have stops they are not in snowy areas so they should all make it in fine tonight!

On the home front things are pretty good and I am ready for our company to arrive - the ones due in before 11pm were stopping somewhere else for the afternoon so I have a little time to myself.

Jennifer- I think you layout looks wonderful!

My DH's big idea is to leave work for 2hrs early in the morning, pick me up and take me in way early, then finish his shift when we get back in...pretty good idea

So, after he figures this out, doesn't the boss come and ask me...IF I get in for 9a...will I stay till 5p, without late penalty to give evening shift the chance to get in? SO, then I told him of the DH plan, and he did say any time I get in I can swipe and start to work. I don't have to wait till 630. So, at least they are being flexible like that...

But, can I just say...

I AM SO READY FOR SPRING!!!
