I posted an ad for DVC points and apparently I have to "bump" my post.

What's the purpose of bumping and why do I need to??

How do you "bump" your post??

Thanks all!!

When there has been no activity on your post, it keeps going down the list and may get buried on the subsequent pages. If someone "bumps" your post, it puts it at the top of the list - more people see it, and I guess, reply to it.

'Hope this helps!

PS - most people just post the word "bump" in a quick reply to get it back up to the top!

This is exactly why you "bump" your post. HOWEVER, if you are trying to rent your points, I suggest you post to your thread with more than just "bump". Use the space to give more info about how you will handle the transaction or encourage people because of how far in advance they can book. If you just "bump" and you're a newbie to renting, alot people may skip over your thread.

I rented my points a couple of weeks ago and this is how I handled it so that potential renters knew I was interested in keeping up with the details. I was able to rent my available points in about 48 hours.

Good Luck
