Too many for Doritos and Bud Light. I wanted some variety.

I'm a Steelers fan, but the Polamalu one was kind of creepy....

I like the Griswold one. And the Bud Light house was pretty funny. There were a few here and there, but overall, I didn't think they were that great.

The Dodge commercial where it listed all the things a guy has to do in order to drive the car he wants to drive. Very funny stuff.

My favorite was the Google Pairsian Love commercial. I also like the E-trade babies. I saw one at the movie theater that I had not seen on TV.

Doritos, Bud Light and NCIS.

Apparently, I'm not part of the targeted demographic.

Surprise, surprise, surprise.:goodvibes

My favorite was the mini-ad on screen for Big Bang Theory (about 7:20 PM Eastern), where Sheldon "escaped" from the commercial and "cheered" the teams:
I've done it, I've hacked my way into the Super Bowl.
Go! whatever team it is you support.
And may the opposing team play less effectively.

(This may not make sense unless you've seen the Big Bang Theory ...)

Edited to add - you can watch all of the commercials online at http://www.cbssports.com/superbowlads

I agree with auroralark, I found the commercials to be a bit lackluster this year. My favorites were the Clydesdale horse and his little cow friend, the Dorritos dog no-bark collar and the Google Parisian Love commercials.

I also found the commericals to be ho-hum. And the Dave/Oprah/Jay one was just awkward. :scared1:

Our favorite was the Betty White/Abe Vigoda Snickers commercial. We rewound that one and watched it again!

I thought a couple of the Doritos ads were funny, but since I can't remember most of them this morning I think it was an off year.

I thought many of the ads were disappointing. There were too many ads promoting shows and a ton of local ads for this one pizza place here in Rochester.

I enjoyed the Audi green police ad - not because it was that great, but my daughter's good friend was the checkout clerk (she looks a little like Minnie Driver) in the first few seconds. It was kind of neat to see someone I really know.

Did anyone notice that most of the ads seem to portray men as mindless followers of their wife/girlfriends or beer-guzzling simpletons? Considering the demographics of who watches the Super Bowl, which I assume is largely men, I wonder what's the reasoning behind this.

I found the Betty White, Snickers commercial to be rather funny.

Doritos'....... SLAP! "Keep your hands off my momma, and keep your hands off my Doritos"! That little kid was hilarious. :thumbsup2

This is the first Super Bowl I've ever watched. In the past, I've gotten online to watch the commercials. Nothing worth getting online to watch, IMO. There were some good commercials, just not Super Bowl worthy. James is a laugh out loud kind of guy, and the only one that made him laugh out loud was when the people built the bridge for the Budweiser truck.

In addition to the e*trade babies, I really liked these 2 as well.
They both made me laugh, whereas most of theads just produced a smile or and "eh" response

There was one for flo-tv where the guy was being dragged around a shopping mall by his girlfirend- that made me and my 22 yo DS laugh out loud. Funnier than that was the text he received seconds later from his girlfriend saying "you need that!" :lmao:

DP had to google Abe Vigoda after I laughed at that one.

My other favorite of the night.

I was kinda shocked/weirded out at the amount of pantless commercials. :scared1:

This was my favorite by Dorito's.

These were some of my other favorites:

The house of beer by Bud Light
The human bridge by Budweiser.
Snickers commercial with Betty White & Abe Vigoda.
McDonald's commercial with Lebron James, Dwight Howard and Larry Byrd (aired during Pre-Game Ceremonies)
And the commercial for "How I Met Your Mother" where Barney is holding up the sign for women to call him.

It was about 55 minutes elapsed time after the start. If you're going by game time, it was the 2nd quarter, in the commercial break after the Saints' first score (9:34 left in the quarter).

Or, you can just watch it on YouTube at the link Thumper_Man posted in post #27. :)

I thought Audi's "Green Police" was especially clever. :happytv:

They crammed a lot of ideas and sight gags into that 30 seconds, that's for sure...

(Although, I have to say that's the ugliest Audi I've ever seen !) ;)
