We quickly unpacked, got our acts together & had a bite to eat in the food court before we headed out to MGM to see Fantasmic.....all the food at ASMu food court was very good....we didn't have a bum meal the whole trip....then we experienced the only bad bus ride of the entire vacation....I guess everyone had the same idea we had.....to go to MGM around 4:00 & see Fantasmic....the bus was jammed to the gills.....we had to stand & all I could think of was "is this going to be our transportation for the entire trip???"....yuck.....never again did we encounter a bad bus ride, thank goodness....

Now, you can look at the park maps ahead of time all you want, but, once you get into a park for your first time, you are sooooo overwhelmed.....we had been given maps at home by friends who had just been there.....I wanted to be ready so I studied the maps & it didn't even matter.....we went to Indiana Jones & Little Mermaid....by that time, we needed to get over to Fantasmic....we thought we would have to stand, but my husband wandered around in the stands & asked a family if they had anyone sitting next to them.....they said no & he signaled for us to come down & sit......I am always embarrassed by stuff like that but it ended up great.....what a wonderful show.....our first sighting of Mickey we all screamed like he was Elvis or something....waving like crazy people.....even my 13 year old was getting into it.....the whole atmosphere takes over like magic....I cried when the boats came around with all the characters.....we got back to ASMu & the boys swam.....we were in bed by 11:00....I still don't think I really believed that we were actually in disney! Tomorrow MK....

Even to a WDW veteran, walking into a park for the first time of the trip can be overwhelming (and emotional).

Fantasmic was a great way to start your trip. IMHO, Mickey is bigger than Elvis! :)

We haven't seen Fantasmic yet:(

But with your endorsement, we'll have to try this year!

Thanks again!
