Yes; you eat in the same place as you had your last dinner at an assigned time.

For example if you eat in Parrot Cay last night your sit down breakfast is in PC, on disembarkation morning, they are early, often say 6.45am 'ish for main everyone off by 9.00am.

Limited service at Topsiders, no room service past 1am, unless in a suite.

You can also grab something at the buffet if you want to just leave whenever you want to vs. working around your assigned breakfast time.

First time we went we done buffet then waited in line for ages to leave ship.
2nd time we sat down and enjoyed bfst and said bye bye to servers, then hardly waited to leave ship, by far the best choice.

On Friday 30th July, I am not leaving until 9.00am, having Breakfast and seconds, Its only an hour home from Dover......

In fact want to hit the Dartford crossing after rush hour...

You WILL get fed.

But did a lot of "hurry up and wait" the final morning.
We had 8 am seating, so we planned to sleep until 7:45 am, brush our teeth, put our clothes on and head to the dining room.
The 7 am knock on the door from a "Castmember" blew that out of the water.
Then the early seating folks who had our table decided to force their way into the dining at 7:45, so we had to wait while the head waiter found an open table for us to sit at. Our servers stopped by, but we missed our final meal with them because of this.
And while disembarkation had started at 7:45 am, when we left the dining room at 8:30, there was a 45 minute wait in line to get off the ship.
The lack of an organized disembarkation system is very popular with a lot of Disney cruisers, but it was the worst disembarkation I have experienced in 8 cruises.

We skip both the buffet and the reserved breakfast and pretty much walk right off the ship. We were home in Celebration before 9 a.m. last week (left our stateroom at 7:30 a.m. and no disembark line whatsoever).

Thanks so much for answering my question. We are in no hurry. We will probably have a sit down breakfast.

That might depend on whether you have early or late dining and how early you want to get up! If it hadn't been for this board, I would have assumed - when we got the info on the ship - that our ONLY option for breakfast the last morning was to eat at 6:45 in Parrot Cay (our dining room the night before). But that was gonna be TOO early for our family! I'm soooooo glad I knew that Beach Blanket Buffet was an option. Got up at 7, DH went up to get a plate full of food for all of us to share, and we ate in the room as we got ready to get off the ship. LOVED that option.

Thanks for the info on the Beach Blanket Buffet. That is a great option if we can't , or don't want to go to the assigned breakfast time. :thumbsup2

We walked right off the ship last week as well - no line at all. We had early dinner seating and I think our breakfast time was 7:00 or 7:30 (I can't remember already!). As soon as we were done (and we were a few minutes late getting there), we walked right off and there were no lines in the port or anything. We were in the parking lot with our bags by 8:05.

If you choose a sit down breakfast, you will have an assigned time and dining room based on your last night dinner. Main is 6:45, 7 or 7:15 depending on dining room. Late is 7:45, 8, or 8:15.

If you don't like your time, you have the option of eating at the buffet which stops serving at 8:30 (if you want seconds, get them before 8:30. They do ask that everyone be off the ship by 9.

What makes a mess for everyone--trying to eat at a dining room, but NOT at your assigned times. Unfortunately the head servers try to be nice and try to allow these confused or pushy souls in. Personally, I think the response should be to point out that they've missed their seating and re-direct them to the buffet...but I'm mean! True, there are always guests who choose to not show up at the dining room.

For TV guy who had the "other" seating people at HIS table--that was wrong. People who show up at the wrong time should get the table where someone didn't show up--they shouldn't get their assigned table at the wrong time forcing out the guests who followed the rules.

but we had to wait around for breakfast! :lmao:

I didn't get up early the whole time on the boat, except the last morning. I got up, showered and read before anyone else was up. Dh got up and showered. Then the kids woke up as well. I think we were waiting, watching tv in the room for up to 1/2 hour.

We had late seating for dinner which meant late seating for the last morning breakfast and then we ate in the restaurant with the later breakfast seating. I think our tickets said 8:45 for breakfast.

Sounds like a master plan

Thats great but we have all the way to scotland to go,so I will have final last decent food before flying!

Can someone remind me of what the buffet has that morning? I think I remember it's less than usual (i.e. no omelet station), but still has warm items like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. Or is it just continental?

Scrambled eggs, waffles, etc. are available. Just less variety than other days and no special orders.

They always seem to emphasize that the buffet is Continental-only, but I agree that every time we've done it, they've had scrambled eggs and a few other "warm" items.
