By when do I have to use these points so I don't lose them?

Ok so I just bought a couple hundred points at VGC and they Back dated my contract to 2009 and gave me all my 2009 points. Now I have an August use year, so that means that Im going to be getting 200 more points in August? If I understand correctly, I can bank my 2009 points. Now when do I have to use them by so that I don't lose them? Do I have to use them by August 1, 2011? Or can I make a reservation prior to Aug 2011 for say Oct 2011?

Must be use by Aug 1, 2011.

If you bank the 2009 points, the last night you could book is July 31, 2011. All points use is by date of stay, not date of reservation.

You would have to bank those 2009 points by the end of March. If you didn't bank them, they would expire on July 31, 2010. If you do bank them, they expire on July 31, 2011 and would have to be used by that date.

If you think July 2011 is too soon, are you sure you need DVC? Most of us would consider that a long ways away!:rotfl:
