Mickey Nut 50

Day Five of the Much Needed Disney Trip
The Cast:
Carol, fellow Disney nut, sometimes needs a wheelchair
Michael, 13 – Carol’s nephew
Me, tour guide, addicted to Disney
Grant, 14, my son, and Disney pal
This was the “catch up” day. We hadn’t been to Disney Quest yet, and had promised the boys we would. Grant and I also decided that we wanted to “Leave a Legacy” in Epcot.
OK, boys – everything packed and ready to go? Let’s head over to DQ. Wow, no one’s here – the parking lot is empty. Hmmmm – could that be because DQ isn’t open yet? Sure enough – it didn’t open until 11:00 am, and it was now 9:30 am. Ok, time to “adjust” the plans a little.
We headed over to Epcot for our Legacy picture. Carol and Michael took the monorail over to TTC and then the Poly. We met them there for another water mice ride. This time we got into Bay Lake and had a blast! After we were done, it was time to head back to DQ, where we ate lunch
At Disney Quest, the hardier ones (not me) did the cyber roller coaster. We all did Pirates of the Caribbean (our favorite!). The boys did some other select rides, including Buzz. That one’s a blast.
OK gang – time to say goodbye! See ya real soon!
We headed back to the condo, loaded up, and actually found our way to the airport. Thankfully, the trip back wasn’t as complicated as the way down. Delta employees were very helpful with Carol and her leg brace. Our connecting flight’s gate wasn’t too far away this time.
We arrived home on time, poorer, refreshed and much healthier mentally!
Hope you enjoyed!
PS - about 2 weeks after we got home, I received a post card from Disney Resorts - they had found something. Please call. Yes, the maid had found my Mickey watch apparently wrapped up in the bedspreads. they very nicely sent it to me. Now I have two identical Mickey watches, since I bought another after arriving home. Disney Magic!:bounce:
