I had a whole day to torch on Friday. Being snowed in isn't always bad. I cranked up Animal Kingdom music on DCot.com (love that site) and was Disney dreaming. Everything goes straight from the torch to the kiln so I forget much of what I make, but opening the kiln the next day is VERY exciting.

Dawn, they are made from glass. I use an oxygen propane torch and melt rods of glass on to a mandrel (piece of steel).
